I just wanna say sir Rodney that you are the greatest ever video reviewer of all time , I love you buddy , You cobblestone , and you're the most kiskass product , lol
cant find any reviews on the new evga ftw 3 mobo anyone have an opinion on this board just got one yesterdayfor some reasone i got a bad feeling about it
To some it may be but I only like to see the product reviews so it is of no use to some people like me ya know? I had not been on in a couple days and had 20+ videos from him haha
no complaints? you probably running vista or xp. I'm running window 7. And if you want to contact asus for help, you will be charged for long distance.
Correct. I am running Vista Ultimate 64-bit. I haven't tried Win 7 yet as I want to get a new hard drive to run it off of and not worry about corrupting anything. I didn't know about the charge of long distance though however. I usually do all my correspondence trough e-mail.
i can recommend rampage 2 extreme instead of p6t,but asus p6t ws supercomputer motherboard has 5 pci-e x16 and 1 x8 pci-e slot(or something like that) so you might like that one too.also there is the gigabyte GA-EX58 Extreme.
evga is my favorite company for motherboards and video cards, they always cater to overclockers and enthusiast, they even host their own gaming servers.
I have the G15 v2 and the MX 518 myself. Laser requires a good mousepad to be able to perform to its full potential, which I'm simply too lazy to get. 1800 dpi is much more than I need anyways.
As for the G15, the LCD screen is useful as hell for monitoring system info during OCing or gaming. Besides, I don't need 54 hotkeys ;)
Too overpriced and overrated. I'd rather go for a premium AM3 motherboard with Crossfire capability and a Radeon HD 4870X2 or Radeon HD 4890 in CF. Plus, I could get the Phenom II X4 955. SLI is not as good as Crossfire in the GeForce 200 series compared to the Radeon HD 4800 series. Crossfire gets near 98% better performance in 2560x1600 than using a single card.
Well, I can agree with you on two things; atheism does rule and AM3 is a competitor to 1366.
However, SLI is much better then xfire. Why? driver support. My uncle had his 4870x2, and the drivers were terrible. he went to xfire 4870x2's, and it got worse. My friend on the other hand now has two GTX 285's and they perform amazing in any game.
And while I do believe the 4800 series amazing, I have no clue where you made u- err, got the 98% better data. 200 series outperform 4800 anyday.
The driver thing was only a problem one year and a month ago when the series had just come out. Right now the only one that has problems is the 4300 series. Driver excuse is old and no longer a factor today. BTW, a Radeon HD 4890 provides 97% scalability when playing games at 2560x1600, while a GTX 260 Core 216 SLI will only get you 85-90%. You should check Tom's Hardware review on that—that's from where I got the near 98% scalability data. BTW, 4890 Crossfire>GTX 295.
with the latest drivers, my uncle still has issues with two 4870x2's in xfire. IDK if they fixed the single 4870x2 issues. And BTW, '98% better performance' is COMPLETELY different from saying "98% scalability". It's only 8% better, not 98.
Finally, comparing 4890 xfire to a 295 is unfair in respects that the 4890 system has two lanes, PCBs, and especially more RAM. A PS3 uses an old 7800 GT competitively by using excessive RAM amounts.
Wait, what? No, it delivers 98% more performance at 2560x1600 than using a single card. That's what is meant by "scalability". And if you don't believe me, check Tom's Hardware review on it. I'm not making this up.
And no, it's not unfair to compare them. For one, an X16 lane can handle all the bandwidth just fine. Most decrease that has been seen by using an 8x lane for each card in CF or SLI is 5%. And it only has 256MB more RAM. They both have more than 1.5 GB VRAM.
Apart from fewer DIMMs and fewer full-sized PCI-E slots it also lacks the onboard power button, does not support SLI, the PCI-e 4x slot and one of the 1x slots are obstructed, just off the top of my head. It's riddled with cost saving features that end up bringing the value down more than they bring down the price.
Budget users do not use SLI, they do not need tons of ram, they do not need an onboard power button. I'm talking about normal users, not tweakers who overclock and need the best performance. I think it's an OK board for simple people. It's a matter of needs, all the extra's are nice but when you don't use them it's a waste. I use the UD4P that fills my needs, but haven't used SLI yet..
My birthday is coming up soon and I need a good external hard drive for personal back up use. It needs to be under $110 and I was looking at one on amazon for $99 and it was made by Toshiba and it's micro sized and portable.
Would brand would you recommend for personal back up that is easy to set up, fast transfer, and won't crash as much?
Im using the EVGA x58 SLI LE ($230) and i LOVE it. Supports TRI-SLI, up to 1600MHZ memory and also has some other great features that i dont have the time to explain. :]
i got asus rampage 2 gene and its 10 times better than the p6t cause i had one of them!

No it doesn't.
It doesn't have an X-Fi chip. The sound card has software that emulates xfi.

there is a company they sale Gigabyte EX-58 UD3R + i7 920 + DDR 3 (3X2GB 1333 SL9) FORE

The UD3R is rubbish, and it only has 4 RAM slots.

So you can still have 6GB of ram in triple channel or 8GB in dual channel, that's not really rubbish. Tell me what's rubbish about it?
