Just back for another listen. It sounds so fresh. I'm almost proud of you because our adventures on YT started at almost the same time - and because I sincerely believe this ride will take us both somewhere.
Thank you kindly, my brother in arms. It's been a great journey so far - and to think that it's really only been a few months since this adventure began! And there'll be many more adventures before the year is over - of that I have no doubt! :)
"Love unfound"....What a beautiful way of expressing that notion. This song is wonderfully soft and understated almost in a way. Enjoyed the 6 mins of mellowness it afforded me - thanks :) With kindest wishes, Sunbeam
'Love unfound'....What a beautiful way of expressing this notion...I love this song - so gentle and unassuming - yet a theme most of us will have identified with at some point or other. Gorgeous! With kindest wishes, Sunbeam xoxo
hey, good job! i like your songs. do you have to sing them lots of times before u think they are good enough to put them on youtube? do you practise them?
downloaded all ur songs from myspace. love them. there's something very comforting about them. they're the sort of songs i would use if i were to shoot indie movies. something to make u relax or reflect on life. for a creative critique though, the only thing that might be a problem for you if u want to make it out there is that the songs sound familiar. maybe u can work on ur style to make u stand out more from the rest. good work though! keep it up!
if you could get the sound of raindrops falling just in the background sound that would fit in nicely in the gaps/bridges between the verses and chorus i think [= so beautiful.
Thanks Red. I'm trying to be as organic as possible with these recent songs, so I'll probably won't be going down the road of synth. But when I record these properly I'm certainly hoping to get some strings in there! I love the cello.
The cello would be behind the guitar, doing a rhythmic strum, same key, different notes in a motif. Say, "dum-dum-dum-dum..." like a motif in cello in a Philip Glass song. Or, to sum it up in my crude semi-musical argot, doing an arpeggio motif in the lower registers behind
the guitar.
A synth could imitate that sound fairly convincingly. And I'll wager that you already have a keyboard...
Hey, but what do I know? As far as music is concerned, I'm pretty much "dum-dum-dum..."!
I do indeed have a keyboard, although it's a 'dumb' midi keyboard - if I need a synth I use software. At the moment I'm sticking with the acoustic sound but some time in the future, you never know. When I get around to recording this song 'properly' it'll be in a local recording studio, and I'm hoping I can hire a session cellist for this and another couple of tracks.
Really nice - an instant favourite. The music is really nice and the sentiment too and your vocals are just so perfectly measured - maybe the video would have been a bit more powerful if the picture had been more of a close up but ... that's a very minor thing (and I'm not even sure about it). Anyway, 5*, Fav., and I'd subscribe again on the strength of that if I could.
Wow thanks for the great feedback, Kevin. I really appreciate it. I've been keeping my distance from the camera while doing music because I'm a bit camera shy! Doing a vlog it's not so bad but for some reason when I'm singing it's a different story. I'm sure I'll get over it.

Thanks Sarah! I think it was actually raining outside at the time. Maybe that's why the song has such a rainy day feel! :)
