  • Aliens.

  • Aliens.

  • Assuming that these "revelations" are actually drug-induced, what could have caused it? LSD was not created yet, and I'm not sure if Salvia grows in the desert areas of Jerusalem.

  • @BlackSkullRacer613 insanity and a good dose of dehydration + mirage?

  • @BlackSkullRacer613 caves... they got all kind of nasty gasses which make you high. and usualy these "prophets" lived on caves.

  • I personally think most people are simply christians because they are afraid of dying, yet if they give it some real thought about the struggles they have and will continue to go through in life they will realize that they would not want to live forever. I sure don't. I am 48 years old and I am still enjoying life but I don't want it to go on forever. I accept my mortality, I will eventually die and then I will be dead since this carbon and water based shell will be turning into dust.

  • An eternal place with an all-powerful-ruler,

    who sits on a throne,

and is surrounded by numerous numbers of beings groveling before him,

    who never rest...

It seems like I've heard of a place like this before...

Now, what was it called?...Ah yes.

    Hell.

  • @SinnFein4ever What about an earthly example...North Korea?

  • Why's God always bitching at humanity?

If he created and designed every aspect of humanity, then every flaw in humanity is his fault.

If he created man in his own image, then he has all of the same flaws that we have.

Hmmm... Maybe this is a case of repressed self-loathing...God hates himself, but can't admit it, so he duplicates his flaws in man, inorder to have a target to focus his anger on.

"I'm not imperfect! They are! See how imperfect they are? See see see?! "

  • @SinnFein4ever It's a perfectly valid point that you've brought up, and the answer that believers always give to that is Free Will. In their eyes the notion of free will somehow absolves God of the blame and further indicts humanity as the root of our own suffering. Presumably it was also Satan's free will that prompted him to rebel. Of course your same line of reasoning can be used on free will as well. Why would God give us this flawed characteristic if he knew the outcome?

  • @senortonyful

The problem of "free will" as the reason for suffering in society, is when one person's free-will is directly opposed to another's.

Say that I hate people who wear red shirts...

I see one walking by, and using my "free will" decide to shoot them.

But they use their "free will" to decide that they don't want to be shot.

Only one of us can end up expressing our free will.

I don't understand how Theists can miss this huge parodox about "free will" as their explanation.

  • @SinnFein4ever More to the point if you saw the scene you describe unfolding before you and were able to stop either man from being harmed without endangering yourself would you stop it. Yes you would be interfering with there free will, but one innocent person and one possibly guilty person would be safe from harm. Of course most people, christian or atheist would answer Yes they would interfere. So most humans are more moral then God who if he existed would be allowing billions to suffer.

  • @robtay1963

    Bingo.

Of course, most Theists don't really expect true morality from "God".

Which is why they go to service regularly.

A moral "God" would not torture people for eternety, for simply not worshiping him.

  • @SinnFein4ever A moral god, and a real on would also not be so petty as to need our blind faith. Actually I think it was that revelation that woke me up. Why would a god even want our worship. I finally figured that if there are supreme beings they are so far above us the could care less about us. It would be like a human wanting to rule over a colony of ants. Once you get there your mind is finally open to logic, reason and science. Ahhh to be free of the worries of serving a corrupt book

  • @SinnFein4ever I am glad that most christians do not execute the morality of the OT god because otherwise the US would be a was zone just like the middle east, only worse. They only have a few variations on there beliefs, Imagine if the hundreds of denominations were constantly killing each other over there specific Dogma. I am glad they don't actually read there bible....LOL

  • @robtay1963 Typo, war zone that is

  • @SinnFein4ever Typo, war zone

  • It does sound a little "eclectic" doesn't it

  • This room has one of everything Lol

  • Its true, if you ever want someone to become an Atheist, have them read the bible

  • John: What's heaven like?

Jesus: Oh it's fine, there's a shortage of chairs

  • Religion is fucking hilarious. How the fuck can people in this modern day read this book and still believe it afterwords?

  • Jesus fucking christ if I saw a 6 winged lion full of eyes that's saying "holy" over and over again I'd freak the fuck out, that's more like hell than heaven!

  • Thunderfoot is even more fanatically literal than Jack Chick...

  • preachers know that almost nobody actually reads the book, they just show up quote 2-3 verses and spend 2 hours ''analyzing'' them, i think the big size of the book scares people off and they just take the preacher at HIS word that it is from God and they let their bibles rot in the closet. and before reading it i still thought religion was bullshit, but one day i said ''u kno wat imma read this modafuckin book'' and i did, now i have PROOF that is bullshit

  • 5:30 "Man I don't need this crown, I THREW IT ON THE GROOOUUUUUUUUUND"

  • the person who wrote the bible (especially the heaven part) must have been on some crazy LSD trip :D

  • hell of a drug, lsd..... ;o)

  • Well, this was surprisingly stupid on so many levels. :O

Didn't Thunderf00t read the whole Apocalypse or did he purposefully present this as the mainstream Christian view of Heaven? He didn't even mention the creation of the new Heavens and the new Earth.

And of course it's anthropomorphic. The most widely held view is that John experienced visions, and most visions in the Bible are very dream-like and symbolic, i.e. not meant to be taken literally.

It's almost like Thunderf00t has an agenda.

  • @Moshugaani New Heaven and New Earth? Please tell me where that is in the book.

  • @MythicSolider989 Sure. The last two chapters in Revelation are all about the new world.

Chapter 21 begins: ''Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.''

And please, before dismissing the whole passage as nonsensical based on a few obviously pictorial elements (such as the New Jerusalem as being a 1,400 mile cube) try to understand the essence of it all.

God will dwell among us and everything is made new, full of life. Death is no more.

  • @Moshugaani Jesus said people should obey him for he was their lord, it's almost like he had an agenda...

  • @VetinariClone Uh.. Of course Jesus had an agenda. And I think he was pretty clear about it. After all it was he who said ''I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'' (John 14)

But the way Thunderf00t portrayed the passage in question was not too honest or thorought.

Sure, I know that it was meant to be humorous and he wasn't even trying to present a full exegesis.

  • Oh thank god you made this series. I'm atheist and I'm having enough trouble as it is reading the Qur'an. If only you could make a series of audiotapes of you reading the Bible.

  • If I was going to be religious, I would follow the Old Testament. Atleast then I could just dedicate my life to sin, and then get my "punishment" of not being granted eternal life when I die. Sounds better than having to sit through this for eternity, that's a shit reward.

  • Dude I had the same dream two years ago! Uhmm. Sorry, never mind. I remember now, I was on acid that day.

  • Did he just read a description of heaven, or a description of Lo Pan's liar from "Big Trouble in Little China"?

  • im not sure I want to spend eternity with a being that considers Genocide to be ok. Besides would it not get boring? i mean you would learn everything that its possible to learn and do everything that can be done and then nothing,,,,, nothing will happen thats new for the rest of time. Sounds like hell to me.

  • @andysim232 Hehe, a man had a near death experience where he visited several versions of Heaven. He visited the Native Americans heaven, Buddhist heaven, and lots of other heavens. xD He also visited this Heaven, but couldn't bare staying more than 5 minutes! ;) xD

Btw there is a certain drug who can make you feel all this stuff, making you 100% convinced you are dead and have a NDE. Just forgot it's name xD

  • I like the interesting mouth movement at the beginning.

  • Just FYI this is Revelations 4:1

  • @ftenorio1 in what way are atheists the majority?

  • It's the Book of Peyote.

  • You have to have a psychedelic ending in the bible to really pull all the stories together and make them make sense....

  • sounds like someone with a limited imagination wrote this part of the Bible.

  • ye those who actually believe everything in the bible might want to think about their belief. That description of heaven was one persons view of heaven. Believing in the existence of heaven doesn't implie that you believe in THIS description. Once again, its only a metaphore.

  • @jobapi01 Yes it might be a metaphor but the fact still remains, how much of the bible do you treat as "The word" and how much is a metaphor? You are making a personal, value based decision on what is a metaphor and what is not. In other words you have a subjective view (that is why there are 30K variations of the bible). So really, how much are you going to stand up and deny it. There really is no god, and its ok to let go of the shackles. Just be a good person, as I'm sure you are and be free!

  • @dborg321 I feel that too many people think that the bible should be litterally interpreted. I don't think you are one of these persons though. And about god, No of course there is no god but for me that's not what's important.

Thanks for being so kind when replying, don't see that alot on these kind of videos. ;)

  • lol christians in the comments are trying to justify this any way they can. Why do all this crazy mental gymnastics to make it sound right in your head? Its easier to just accept the truth and your mortality.

  • My Sunday school teacher told me this and after questioning that passage to the stand a cop outs I left that room seeing how much bull there was. The bible is truly the path to atheism.

  • You're one day closer

  • Heaven's a hell. Go figure.

  • To all those who believe the bible, have you actually read it? it's mental and full of contradictions, pure brainwashing

  • Fuck religion.

  • People the bible was rewriten a hundred times by now probaly only the 10 comandments are the only true thing

  • Sounds like Heaven is there for God to have his little humans to praise him untiringly to boost his huge jealous ego. Sounds like my kind of hell.

p.s. Why do Christians say that animals can't get into heaven? The biblical description of heaven clearly says otherwise.

  • The Bible: Proof than man loves his psychedelic compounds. In DMT's name, we pray. Amen.

  • wow, seriously Google must be making a packet out of you TF, 2 advertisements for Christian product/services on your video!! LMAO ... how ironic, one of them was an advert for "learn to read the bible" TOO FUNNY!!! :D

  • @deanjdk Don´t we all...!

  • what bible is that?is it just me or does all of this sound UNBELIEVEABLE

  • The best source of arguments against the credibility of Christianity is the very book on which Christianity is based.

  • Technically, most Christians consider Revelation to be symbolic.

To address them on their own terms, interpreting these images as being literal things is a mistake.

  • @SlaughterMeister Of course they have to interpret it. Following the letter of the bible would be insane. But once you start "interpreting" the word of god how can you then turn around and claim that the bible is the word of god? That it is accurate and correct? This pick and choose attitude is hogwash. Its just people doing whatever they want and using an "interpreted" bible to justify their nonsense.

  • @Nonsensei436 Technically it's necessary to interpret everything. Even if their were some sort of "perfect" interpretation (as the Catholic church claims it has, but does not), it would still be an interpretation.

  • @Nonsensei436 BUt that gives u so much power. That's why its so freaking awesome to do it. But it doenst really give u real freedom the freedom that is in my taste. Id get sick to base my life on a book meh. its like nerds that get overly obsessed over sci fi books/films/series/games or fantasy ones. Dont get me wrong i love sci fi and fantasy ... well not that much but its still pretty fun but i dont get obsessed over it. Same shit with Christianity. Get over it find a new way to have fun!

  • @Nonsensei436 ya i dont understand why we can even get aids from having intercourse from gays and lesbians, is the military behind all of this?

  • @SlaughterMeister So how do you know its symbolic? I mean did god say in the bible- Do not get this bible literaly as it is the word of god and you should understand it literaly ... oh shit i am already denying myself! Fuck i am so fucked right now i just ogtta go hide somewhere :D! Damn my flatmate just shouted - Massive DICKS! .. ok im saafe now D:L

  • @2RayneR7 Ladies and gentlemen! I present to you, the ASSUMPTION MAN!

I'm not a Christian, moron. I was making a statement of fact about Christian beliefs.

  • years ago, I've heard the john was abducted and this is his description of the comand bridge of a space ship... pretty much like the interprise... but, in his primitive mind, he describe the comander chair as a throne, aliens and robots as creatures full of eyes, holograms as rainbows, space helmets as crows, computer screens as lakes of crystal, and so on...

  • Wait, a FLYING eagle? that's one crazy book.

  • Yeah, that makes sense

  • I lost It when he said bad trip :D

  • This is what I cant stand about the few atheists that I know, they put forth such a vehemently one sided argument, which shows that they have no tolerance for anything other than what they want to project on other people. Is it not possible that this was written by a man so overwhelmed by God's amazing power that he was shown things that his mind could comprehend so he wouldn't go bat shit crazy?? I'm not saying this is the case but it is one of many possibilities not considered here.

  • @jessedesmidt1991 If that's the case, does it not render the Bible completely useless and inaccurate, and all who follow it simply incorrect? In which case, wouldn't all Christianity ever also be incorrect? Forgive me if I've misinterpreted anything, but if the Bible is incorrect, then surely the idea of Yahweh is also incorrect?

  • Also to answer the question I do believe in the Heaven described. And I would like to go there... It sounds much better than the Hell described.

  • This is awesome! I love hearing His Word... it gets me all happy.

  • also chairs are actually bad for you as it causes your muscles to relax which puts your body weight on your spine,so why would god sit on something that bad for you?

  • I like numbers 15:30 where god orders that a man be stoned to death for collecting firewood. And in deuteronomy it basically states that women that are raped can be stoned to death. She is guilty until proven innocent. Yahweh is a fuckwit.

  • lolz i show my grandma this video she call you a devil worshiper.

  • what does God need with a star ship??

  • It does say in Revelation that a new heaven and new earth will be created and the past done away with. Satan will be no more and things will be as God intended, as in the beginning with Adam & Eve and the Garden of Eden. The world and people, since sin entered, have just been disintegrating in a way ever since, which is why we don't live as long anymore. Read the Bible (KJV), start in the New Testament (like John), and ask our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST, who died for you, for understanding!

  • There are many scriptures throughout the Bible that accurately depict what heaven will be like, but this video is way off!!

  • This guy is an idiot!! He, and most of these viewers, obviously has not, or have not, read the Bible. In this video he pulls out scripture from revelation, which is talking about the end of times and when heaven will open up and God who sits on the throne of judgment will bring just that, "JUDGMENT"!! This is not where we are spending eternity or how Heaven will be.

  • @005445461 Are you serious?!!! He's reading directly from the bible!! No one who has read the bible could watch this guy's videos and say he hasn't read the bible. If anything, this guy is being excessively generous.

  • If you read the bible with an open and critical mind chances are you wont stay a Christian for long.

  • I've only read the old testement.

  • Sounds like a bad LSD trip to me. John must have been smoking something, maybe some killer weed laced with PCP or Bug spray. Shuwee

  • Hevean is What he described but in a 5 feet by 8 feet room with every being that ever lived

Except god because the during the "moon landings" NASA actual sent astrounuts to hunt down and kill god and finly during apalo 17 they did it this is why there was no apalo 18 thought 20. science it works

  • are you a christain or not.

  • Didn't John write Revelations for the persecuted Church and used symbolism to refer to the rule of Nero? I don't think anyone seriously believes heaven is full of Creatures filled with eyes.

  • @SAPI3NS I think it's either Metaphor or a bad LSD trip he wrote about, remember he lived in a cave, no telling what he injested.

  • I'd rather die than spend eternity in a heaven like that. It sounds like a bunch butt suckers doing nothing but worshipping an ego freak.

  • The christian heaven sounds a lot like working at an assembly line factory, except all of the time, and you just sit down and and always praising one being instead of making a product. I would rather not go, even if it did exist. Extremely monotonus.

  • The book of revelations speaks of heaven and even how the earth will end... Its the hardest book to read because its a figuritive narrative. For example if u read: a dragon with a boastfull horn on its head will condemn the virgin woman... This means satan will use a person to fight against the church of God.

  • sooo God has a low self esteem and is rather narcissistic?

  • today we used to believe the world of rich people as law(presidents ,pope's,.....)and put aside the opinion of poor people as ignorant and lack of education.then why so many people choose to believe in Jesus and the followers and not in the kings or priest of the time who said that Jesus was crazy.

  • I loled the first time the word restless popped up. Well played sir. Also were you aware of the solar connection to the jesus deity when you used the setting sun?

  • hey guys jesus here, i have some nice cod videos that are all approved by the big man god himself....so come have a squeezy geez

  • I Do not belive that death is the end.

I also belive that if their is truly a god or goddess, They would not even be aware of us as a race.

Those are just my belifes how ever.

  • Comment removed

  • @StormRaven332 Very few atheists care much whether a person believes in a God or Goddess. But, if your God/dess tells you to say, exterminate the jews, then we'll have a problem.

Most atheists don't care what you believe, only what you do. Seeing as Christians tend to combat things that atheists believe to be essential to the rights of individuals such as the right to marry someone whether they are of the opposite sex or NOT and the right for a woman to choose to have an abortion, we get mad.

  • @zippythewildone Well some persons arn't so lucky to state a point like that, because they didn't have a choice, They were aborted! Marry your gay lover, but marriage is in the bible and married by God. So Unite your gay lover and not call it marriage! have a blesssed day!

  • @GoodGirlsHaveMorals So you assume that I'm homosexual just because I support the rights of homosexuals? Good job making assumptions, it's also an effective way to make yourself look ignorant.

You have the right to believe that abortion is wrong. I find the subject very morally questionable myself and consider it only acceptable in very limited situations. But a woman has the right to decide for herself if she believes that it is too morally reprehensible for her to do.

  • @zippythewildone No No No. what I had said did come out that way after reading it again just now, and Im sorry to offend you if I did. I was directing it to gays. I dont assume nothing unless I have the whole picture, But getting angry and calling me ignorant without knowing me first is just as wrong as you and I assuming anything out of each other. I have gay friends, and I support their choice. Its not a choice I would choose. Thank you and Have a great day Zippy!

  • @GoodGirlsHaveMorals There is a difference between assuming and misunderstanding. You said "@zippythewildone...Marry your gay lover." You were responding to my comment and saying the word "you." I understand, yes, sometimes I make silly mistakes too. But it's not my fault that I "assumed" you were talking to me when you said "you" and "your" in a comment to me.

Lastly, being gay isn't a choice. Do you remember choosing to be heterosexual? (If you aren't asexual or bisexual.) Because I don't.

  • @zippythewildone Agreed, and Understood. LOL.

Um Not really understanding your question, forgive me if I seem dumb. I choose to be with Men, Although I have had my experiences with woman (before I was saved - and backslided and gave into my fleshly needs) Yes, I am a sinner! But I dont choose to lack the knowledge but I think it's a feeling within the person that they cannot change right?

  • @GoodGirlsHaveMorals Nevermind, the question doesn't apply to your situation, that's why it confused you.

Let me ask you a different question. When you were with women, how did it hurt anyone or anything? Try to answer without referencing the Bible or sin.

  • @zippythewildone NOPE! But Im not a gay bashing Christian who breads hate and judges. Thats Gids job. Im a simple Christian who reads the bible (KJV 1611) I try not to live with any anger in my heart, and Im always trying to understand every point of view before I made a judging call. If I make any!! I know if your in the states some states are really different. As there is STILL slavery and ignorence there. (NOT EVERYWHERE)

  • @zippythewildone Your right I don't care if they believe in god. The problem is they insist the rest of us believe as well. They try to break down the wall between church and state. So not only do they personality believe they have the right tell us what to believe but that the government should too.And is where I take a stand!

  • @420gma Perhaps you didn't read my whole comment? You're saying exactly the same thing as I did in the original comment I posted. The sentence was right in the middle: "Most atheists don't care what you believe, only what you do." The "what you do" includes all the things you've mentioned like breaking the wall between church and state and disrespecting other's disbelief.

I've commented on videos and comments before without watching/reading the whole thing, so I know where you're coming from.

  • @zippythewildone Whoops !Sorry about that !

  • @zippythewildone Im atheist and I think abortion is kinda fucked up.

  • @MythicSolider989 Studies done on fetuses have shown no reason to think that a fetus is conscious until after the 20th week. Most abortions occur before this time.

It's not more conscious than the two nails that you (hopefully) clip weekly.

  • @zippythewildone I aware of that, it just doesn't sit right with me. Probably because I was raised christian IDK

  • Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

Heb 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they CRUCIFY TO THEMSELVES THE SON OF GOD AFRESH, AND PUT HIM TO AN OPEN SHAME.

  • C'mon Man! No Xbox in heaven?? =((((

  • They are ot of christians trolling the Japanese tsunamo videos!

  • @SPS148669 I have to agree. I was pissed at them for doing it. Why do they need to add god and god willed it to everything.

  • Now I'm an atheist like yourself so I might be wrong, but the stuff that you read (especially part 1) sounds nothing like the stuff Christians talk about all the time o.O

  • I don't go to church because I'm single and I get bored with it... so what I do is go to a weeky bible study class-- it's get the point for me, I can ask questions and get them answered, and walk away with more than you normally get singing and stuff like that. The book of Revelations is hard because the way it reads is pretty much the order of ancient Jewish ritual / sermon. It's loaded with some pretty symbolic language that apocryphal. You will also see "Antichrist" and "many Antichrists"

  • oooh, oooh...please sir; pick me! the thingies with eyes are the evangelists. but hang on...john (who supposedly wrote revelation) is the eagle. so he had a vision/dream of heaven (which one would suppose was unchanging and permanent) of him in it. is he just bigging himself up? oh my head hurts...i need to see the nurse

  • well... it doesn't seem like bad trip...

it looks like very nice trip ;)

  • yea ..bad trip..

  • No doubt sounds like a trip... but, If that is really how heaven is and there is nothing more beyond Johns vision here... I am sure all of us who accept Christ by faith will be in perfect agreement with spending eternity in the light of Gods love worshipping Him this way.... okay by me.... let me in!

  • Those living creatures sound terrifying O.o

  • The trouble is, people find it too easy to imagine what happens after they die.

I guess the phrase "ignorance is bliss" comes to mind whenever these people think about life after death.

  • 30000 denominations? LOL his ignorance is astounding

  • @Treefrogs2 I know. According to the World Christian Encyclopedia, there are 34000 denominations! How could he possibly get it so wrong!

  • Each of those use the path to righteousness through Jesus John 3:16. So it's not 34000 paths to God, it's more like "Over we're just like that but we use modern electric instruments to sing praises" or what I do... I go to Bible Study and I am hard on my preacher to get a better understanding what's going on and he's never failed me.You can really enjoy the Bible but it's meant to be read like a book. Back then, it was oratory in a sermon setting and later became paprys and now paper.

  • Strange. In that very same book of revelations, John is given a reed or rod to measure the holy city. I guess it's the size of NYC.

  • To answer the question: I would absolutely hate to spend eternity worshiping a god and stating how worthless I am. Makes the life of a slave pale in comparison. So a Christian's choice is actually translated to: be a bad person and be doomed to an eternity of repetitive pain or be a good person and be doomed to an eternity of repetitive worship and slavery. Well, isn't that worthy of looking forward to?

  • @MuddyRogue Well, at least you get to sit down while you do it! XD

  • I think some of us who consider themselves intelligent lack the ability to know they can,t understand everything of what,s outside our physical world. I don,t understand either ,but i,m just smart enough not to say it,s impossible .

  • @pcrvg0808 you might want to use an apostrophe intead of a comma.....

  • @maxergud That doesn`t change anything about what i`ve said . I find it kind of assuring that that`s the only thing you can throw back at me . Thank you !

  • @pcrvg0808 wasn't trying to throw anything back at you, haven't even read it, it's just annoying

  • @maxergud You wanna know what i find annoying ? Danish (black) metal rules and we have non of that in the Netherlands . But then again we got Textures . Peace !

  • Heaven is not simply a state of mind (John 14:1-4). It is a “place,” a spiritual place. It is called a holy city (Revelation 22:19). It is where Christ went to prepare (John 14), to which He ascended (Acts 1), and called the Father’s house (John 14)

Heaven is presented as a place of worship, beauty, perfect happiness, security, and an eternal existence with God. It is a new place, free of sin, no pain, no death, no sorrow, no tears, no night (Revelation 21:4)

Dis proves how Wonderful God is .

  • @korrupyt - it's so wonderful how he gives unborn babies the blessings of his divide AIDS

  • @korrupyt So any descriptive text proves how something is? The creatures we know as penguins are one million feet tall, shoots lasers out of their testicles and make their hair just like Hitler. I just proved that penguins aren't normal birds at all.

  • And THRONES not CHAIRS as in power. As in you know that. As in you should shut up and stop being stupid. And also that you should stop being disrespectful towards us because you made the wrong decision. Throne:power, Rainbow:Beauty, God:God. Learn your facts man, cause you sound like an ignorant, Babbling, fool.

  • @TheyAreHere2 Why do all religious books need special teachers to understand? It would basically give the priests and rabbis the right to interpret the Bible in any way they want, causing religions to split into rival groups. Wait...that is exactly what we have now! Even if heaven was that nice I wouldn't join a denomination because the chance of me joining the right one would be very small. Heaven's membership fees are higher than a fraternity's.

  • @MunkyDrag0n Whoop de doo, you found out that people want to make stuff they like and make it better (if only to them). but the thing is that they have the core of the religion, it doesnt matter if they twist it around as long as the core is straight. For Christians that means, " For God so loved the world that he gave his only begottwen son that whoever believes in him shall not persih but have eternal life." John 3:16. If someone says they're Christian but dont believe That,They'reNotChristian

  • @TheyAreHere2 If it really was that simple, then denominations would not exist. Alas, that is one of many alleged requirements to heaven. Christians can agree on that bit, but disagree on almost everything else, so I still don't like my chances. BTW that verse is as vague as they come. "Believes in him" can mean all sorts of things. Is it to simply believe he exists, to worship him, or sing campfire songs to him or what?

  • Stupid Atheists, Try going to church once for research instead of just looking straight into the bible and taking it literally. If this is what you believe I believe you are sadly mistaken. I believe that revelations is obviously metaphoric in the actual prophecies.

  • @TheyAreHere2 If the bible is metaphoric in nature, should all of it be taken metaphorically, or only the portions that are too fantastic and/or strange?

Wouldn't that mean its possible that many laws, lessons, and themes (such as that of owning slaves, or that of condemning homosexual acts, or that of believing all non-Christians are evil), that no longer make sense or are impractical should also be ignored?

  • @indigothecat its fantastic and strange because its his interpretation of things he doesnt understand. So when its a interpretation of something someone doesnt understand then thats when it should be taken metaphorically. I dont know what you mean when you say ignored since you where talking about metaphors before but, The bible never supports slavery. Its showed as a fact and it says that slaves should follow their masters. As in " Dont be stupid and saynototheguythathas100slavesanddoesntcare.

  • Another thing Atheists get annoyed with, Christians are constantly picking and choosing what passages they think are merely metaphors, and what passages are 100% fact or true as is.

  • @indigothecat I would love to see a passage that you think we ignore and explain it to you.

  • @TheyAreHere2 Revelations 12, versus 1 through 19.

  • @indigothecat The only part that I can find that can't be explained by reading Revelations in full is the sword part in verse 15 which means his words, or what he was saying.

  • Loving the lego lion with multiple eyes!

  • Am I the only Athiest that hasn't read the bible?

  • @rangergxi I have to say your statement is pretty awesome and made me laugh (in a good way!). You very well may be the only atheist who hasn't read the Bible, at least on youtube. Thanks for my humor of the day!

Oh, and the Lord Jesus bless you!

  • @rangergxi Yes! Now read up, you're being a bad representative for those of us who aren't intellectually bankrupt! el oh el.

Just yankin' your chain, I'm pretty sure quite a few atheists haven't, they're just really rare.

  • @CRUSH3Rdlux Have you listened to an aboriginal talk about how giant mud men created the mountains? They have mud.

  • @rangergxi I only read a few chapters and heard a bunch of myths. Way to boring and long to read through really. It's such a bullshit book.
