The "personality test" is free, then they get you on your first course cheap, then each course becomes more and more expensive and the further in you get when you have "found the religion" the more you end up paying and members of the church actually encourage you to take out extra loans, sell your car, etc...

Are you saying that LRH wasn't capable of applying it correctly? It does appear so from his inarticulacy (not to be confused with verbosity and charisma) and tenuous grasp of scientific concepts. Sickening as the idea would be for scientologists to confront, there are many who know a lot more "stuff" than them. Underestimating one's peers and antagonists is a long-proven form of failure - Which is why LRH so often fails under public scrutiny IMO.
