How do you get your video to playback soo smoothly? Every time I import a clip and click play, It lag's and freezes really bad?

Hi, I'm using AE CS4 in Windows 7. When I RAM Preview the video... it is extremely blurry. However,when I double click on the layer... it plays a LOT CLEARER... The pixel ratio seems to be different. Any Help? I know it is widescreen and HD because I shot it with a Sony HDR CX160

@robbieboo0 I found out the problem. It's because you don't have enough ram x) But the only way to fix it is by changed the button thats under your video and above the timeline. Its got three circles, not sure what the name is, just change that from 100% to 50%.

@JacksterLark You just have to lower the preview quality. Or then of course if you really want, you can just buy more ram. But i suggest just lowering the preview quality, since the preview quality doesnt change the final video quality in any way.

Well, after my 1 minute clip took over an hour to render, it looks like it still hasnt really rendered. I created it as an Avi file, but when I play it it still looks like its loading it. It freezes every second to load. And it's not because it's long. My 2 second clip i rendered does it also. And the weirdest thing is that those 2 second clips didn't used to freeze like that. It just started now. Help?

Hello! I'm using Adobe After Effects CS4 on my Windows 7.

When I render a file the file size gets HUUUGE! I render a 8 second movie and the file got 1,36 gib and there is no sound in the file and it's slow to play. Why?! I'm working in HD.

@edvine20123 You most likely put WAY too high HD settings, try going for a smaller resolution. The HD option in Sony Vegas and AE is really overestimated, try do the lowest settings, the quality wont be too bad.

so get a new computer or change the format settings -_-

@edvine20123 This might be a later reply, and you probably have figure it out, but you must activate audio on the "Losses" button at the bottom of the render...There should have an audio section, click it and it should access the audio within the video after rendering....

@edvine20123 First off, to get audio, everybody HAS to go into "lossless" and check audio input. Second thing, you are rendering in "videos for windows" . It makes the filesize rather huge. Check another format in the dropdown box, and custumize the format options.

@edvine20123 Once you render it out in AE you'll get a big file, just re-render it in Vegas which will take 2 minutes, and it'll drop the file size to under 20 MB.

@edvine20123 Use a movie maker program, it lovers the file dramaticly, but can also damage the quality a little bit. Most windows haves Windows Movie Maker. Youst set in the large file, and render it.

Dude, in Render queue in "Output module " after you choosed vido format (quick time in our case) go to the "Format options" (in the same window) and open "compression type" and choose "photo-jpg".
