This game really isnt "hard" its more just "Tedious" :/ A lot of games seem to think that loss for progression = Hard, nope, thats just annoying and tedious having to do the same damn thing over and over again for no good reason..

@WhatTheDocterOrderd Intentionally going through a game with the worst available weapons isn't unique to Dark Souls. You'd get the same effect from going through Kingdom Hearts with the Kingdom Key and no spells or upgrades, or going through the first Zelda game without getting a sword.

@Bladenavor Yeah, I agree. After a few hours of playing the game I realized it wasn't necessarily hard, just somewhat frustrating; especially having to recover all of the progression you made because you died before hitting the next bonfire.

Wonderful game though, it's so deep and all of the mechanincs and lore in the game are just amazing. The amount of thought put into this game shows so much after your first or second playthrough and its just so easy to appreciate this wonderful game.

For me... im level 250. around 200,000 souls is pocket change! i need 400,000 souls to level up. But at your level i would save souls until you have enough to level up... any more and you should level up before you die lol.

Leveling your stats is very important and in Demon souls you could max to 99 all your stats, which meant that level max is 712. And 3k souls is not a lot, considering that at level 90 you will need millions of souls to level one stat.

@lilboy9525 There is AND, if you beat the game, there is something called a "New Game+" which is the hardest difficulty possible.

@Lunartrek There's actually 7 levels to the NG+ difficulty increase. On NG+ enemy health increases 1.5 to 2.5 times the NG version, and enemy damage goes up 1.3 to 2.3 times as difficult. Defense also increases, though I'm not sure how much and I believe some remain unchanged. NG++ (third playthrough) till the seventh playthrough sees a 1.07 to 1.25 increase in health, damage and defense. After that seventh the difficulty no longer increases.

Man people killed the arrow to the knee. Oh by the way this is a great walkthrough like watching you fight and die at times haha. At least you do it with some dignity. But I think I found an easier way to kill the Taurus. Just like jump off the tower and stab him in the head practically takes away a 3rd of its health.

Probably late as hell here, but u should shoot at the tail and then atk the tail w/ ur katana since it's long enough to reach it when the wyvern leaves it's perch and his tail is right next to the edge of that passage.

After you get the shortcut, anger the drake with an arrow and he will be more aggressive when you pop your head out and he'll kill the skeletons, run down bond fire, respawn skele's, climb back up so drake can kill skeletons repeat to level up to a decent level

Your item discovery increases with more humanity 5. some spells increase power by the more humanity you have example." chaos fireball " 200dmg no humanity 400+ dmg with more humanity

Make a new game and skip recording till you get to where you were, and then buy some arrows, and watch out for items your sooo blind ghostrobo

There's a 'glitch' that allows you to get approx 100K souls on that bridge. You can walk back up onto the bridge and then dodge back down the stairs to avoid being roasted and the dragon kills all those undead that respawn each time you rest at your bonfire down the stairs. Each run gives you 300 souls.

If your staying in an area with a bonfire for a while kindle the fire to increase the enstus flasks.

What you need to do is save your souls until u hit around 1 to 2 thousand souls then spend them on leveling mostly unless u are trying to beat a boss at the moment, but use souls mostly in beginning for leveling cause it grants u bonuses on holding stronger weapons.

@chs5h4 the uchigatana can be purchased from a merchant npc that becomes available in blighttown after u join the forest covenant. u have to unluck the sealed door for 20k souls then run thru the woods and not die and talk to the creepy cat to join. then talk to shiva, and then he will appear in blighttown near the newlondo exit of blighttown. then u can purchase the uchigatana and washing pole. also, the better katana imo, the laito can be found in blighttown. Now do all this, OR kill merchant

lol you can tell you never played Demons Souls. Leveling up, you'll need 80,000 souls or more per level up later on in the game so no need to save until you know what you're saving for.

The merchant sells an important item that lets you repair your equipment at bonfires... unless you've bought everything that could be useful, never kill the merchant.

I have played demon souls before and you wont get anywhere if dont level up a bit at a time along the way because the game gets very hard near the end so make sure you level up and level up the wright things aswell otherwise you are done for

The more you level up , the more it's going to cost. For instinse, pretend that to level up strength, it cost 500 you buy it. Then if you go back and level anything up it will cost 550. And so on. I'm like level 25 and it cost about 5,000 souls.

Killin the merchant isn't actually a bad idea, I did it just for the Uchigatana, but I bought like 200 wooden arrows and the bow first so I could shoot the drake tail and get the drake sword. Other than that though, he's a pretty worthless merchant.
