  • What is Grace?....Well, for Fernando...it's the fact that Christ died for him and then.........gave him a talent such as this......Undmerrited favor.

For me?....That he suffered a sinners death and then blessed me with my job, my beautiful wife and three great kids......

Remeber me when you come into your Kingdom.....I say to you this day, you shall be with me in Paradise....again, unmerrited favor...How great the Fathers love.

  • pacea lui Dumnezeu aleluia

  • I'd forgotten the amazing, God-given talent of Fernando Ortega. Thanks for reminding me.

  • This really very true...

  • I truly hope that what is written here is true. I would like a fresh new page in my life

  • @MQS02 Isa 1:18 "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. " The Lord is not slow to forgive, He runs towards those that want to draw near to Him.. as the father of the prodigal son in Luke 15. As it is written in Zec 3: 4- ", Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment. " read also John 14:15. God bless! =)

  • @MQS02 Yes, it's true! Did you find Him?

  • What album is this from? I have every Fernando Ortega album, but have never heard this song. Can someone tell me where to get this?

  • Beautiful:)LIKE,LIKE

    I love this song!

  • Beautiful:)LIKE,LIKE

  • Beautiful:)LIKE

  • Beautiful:)

  • I don't know this singer but I like his song especially this one. It really touches my heart. It so great to know how deep is God's love for us. He did everything to save us and its so disappointing that we just ignore Him.

  • On my channel, I have a website listed that really does a good job of explaining the gospel and salvation. Its the scribd one (for any who are interested).

  • Thank You Lord God for Jesus Your Awesome Son

  • The song is beautiful and the message in the video is absolutely uplifting!

Praise God for his love and mercy!

  • He's got a gift of hymn expression..

  • Beautiful

  • Nice song, nice voice and nice video!

  • Why should God even need to care for sinners like me.....?

Yet He reaches out to me beyond caring....He took my Sin, My death , My pain , My guilt, upon Himself. Dear Jesus, Thank you for love so divine and so amazing!

  • could you tell me where you found this song by fernando ortega i cant seem to find it on any album this is the best version ive heard yet and would like to have it

  • Our need to repent of the sins we commit daily is laid before our feet. Why should we gain from His reward? We cannot give an answer. Thank you God for the gift of grace and sacrifice of Your son. We all should be reminded daily of our need for the savior you provided.

  • Thank you, God! I love you! Bless you, Brother Fernando! I love you!

  • What a beautiful song!

  • How deep the Father's love for us, How vast beyond all measure that He should give His only Son To make a wretch His treasure..this song brings tears to my eyes..we are the reason Jesus had to give his only son to die such a horrible death..Thank you God!..if Jesus had not come we would all be destined for Hell..

  • the words really make you think also..Great song!

  • Our Father in heaven who revealed Himself to humanity in His perfect Word and in His only Son, Jesus. By dwelling with us, He proves He holds intrinsic value for humanity and shows His great love for us. To give us life and an eternity with Him in heaven because He yearns to share His world with us. And all we do is say yes to this wonderful God and live in obedience to Him for the rest of our lives. What a winning proposition!

  • That my sins nailed Him there ... that His blood paid my ticket .... it is a burden heavy to bear. I will try harder, and ask for His forgiveness. Often. God forgive.

  • What a beautiful song ....the words are so meaningful to me... it was my sin that held HIM to the cross of Calvary... I am so blessed to know the Heavenly Father and Jesus HIS son who died on Calvary for me and my sins...love this song!

  • Fernando is simply using the gifts that God has given him....Such a comfort to hear his anthems to our Lord God.

  • Jesus my Dear Saviour, thank You for enduring the cross, the terrible pain and the disgusting way You were treated by unbelievers then and are treated by them now. Your Pierced Hand is open to them to accept You. Thank You for the Free Gift of Your Atoning Blood, thank You for Your Sacrifice, thank You for the Salvation of those who believe. My Sweet, Holy, Gentle Prince of Peace.

  • Jeremiah 29:11; "I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you...to give you hope and a future" (vs.7); "seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile." (vs.13); "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Tobit 13:6b; "In the land of my exile I praise him, and show his power and majesty to a sinful nation...Turn back...do the right before Him"

  • Shas, the very reason you visit these "religious" sites is because you yourself are searching for the purpose of your life. Intellect is not enough. You see, it's not about being religious because you will never find god thru your efforts. It's all about having a relationship with the Creator of our universe. And He's as close to you as your nose. You simply say yes to His Son, Jesus, whom He sent to pay the price you can't pay. And you live for Him the rest of your life. Welcome.

  • @Jeremiah6v8 i would say that they are still relevant today. many of them speak of the grace of God. This one is one of my favorites. It brings me to tears to think of what was done through Christ.

(Romans 5:8) But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (NKJV)

  • it is great to hear him singing the 'older' hymns. many people don't like them because they aren't new and 'relevant' but their words mean so much!

  • FERNANDO ORTEGA I HAVE HIS FIRST CD ALBUM...AND WOW HES VOICE IS AMAZING

  • I LIKE THIS VIDEO BECAES IT IS NICE

  • I just saw him in concert a couple of nights ago. He is awesome.

  • I love this song! Can anyone tell me what CD it's on? Can't seem to find it.

  • Beautiful song!!

Very confusing having words on the video totally different from the lyrics. Wasn't sure if I should be reading or listening to the awesome words of this hymn.

  • wow, this really encouraged me alot thank you sooo much for posting this, would there be any more christian encouragement videos, you recommend I should watch?

  • tX FOR VIDEO. GBU

  • Prachtig lied en heel mooi gezongen door

    de geweldige zanger Fernando Ortega!

  • lovely

  • no earthly love could ever hope to even come close to the love of our Heavenly Father. Would anyone freely and without question give their life and die so that others could have eternal life? I dare say the answer to that question is NO. BUT, there was one who did give His life for each of us. May GOD bless all who hear this song.

  • Mooi lied en prachtig gezongen!

  • Thank you SO much for putting the gosple message in this! Lovely video! Fernando Ortega is brilliant! I love his songs.

    GOD bless,

    Spud

  • Classic Hymn. That can added to world great hymns of faith.

My favorite line: I will boast in anything...But I will boast in Jesus Christ

  • Thank you for sharing this devotional song.

Oh, how we so kick our brothers when they are just trying to share something positive. There is always a negative someone out there. "ffhurray" don't give up!

God's Word stands the test of time.

  • Anyone have any extra bibles. We are trying to plan a bonfire and we're completely out of wood. Thanks and bless u.

  • This man is such a clear singer! I love Fernando Ortega's music! He does it for the Love of Christ and not for fame. I've followed Christian music since 1995 and I have only heard of him this year. And I am blessed!

  • The Spirit of the Living God flows through his voice. Praise Jesus!

  • This is a beautiful rendition of a beautiful hymn. I have so much trouble singing this hymn at worship. It is so humbling that my throat closes up and tears come to my eyes.

  • this song is AWESOME!!!!

  • "How great the pain of sering loss..the Father turns his face away...while wounds which marr the Chosen One...bring many sons to glory"

Thank you Jesus my God, my Lord, my Savior...

  • Two thousand years of blind denial. You are following pale illusions. As you listen to the false preachers. You delight in this ignorant slavery. The enslavery that is chist. He is the ultimate deception of life. Adorning his empty words. Drown your mind his weakened holiness. The parasite of arrogance. Satan appears to halt this endless folly. Open your eyes and see the dark master. As he crushes your savior into the ground. The blood of christ washes along the shores of hell.
  • this is such a beautiful song..mr ortega is just wonderful..such a wonderful gift from God

  • Thank you for posting this I have always enjoyed Fernando Ortega and did not hear him doing this song before. We sang the song in church yesterday. I had not heard it for a very long time and when I looked on you tube, I was thrilled with this version. could you please let me know which CD this is on. Thanks Geri

  • amazing song

  • Amen! Thank Zeus that I am not as stupid as some of these brain washed robots. The the Lard!

God is a cunt no cunt about it!

  • How Deep the Father's Love for us! He gives us life & breath & everything & everyone we hold dear. Heart that beats. Eyes that see. Legs that walk. Lips that speak & laugh. And yet, we spurn & mock the Lord of glory. We lie & steal. We covet & blaspheme. We lust. We are sexually immoral. We murder little babies. Oh, cry out to God to forgive you & cleanse you of your great sin! In spite of your filthiness, wretchedness, God has provided a ransom through His Blood. Repent & Believe the gospel!

  • @Forlifeandeternity Though I've heard this and have thought about this so many times, seeing it plainly written before me is powerful and hard hitting. Thank you for sharing this thought dear one in Christ.

  • i would like to download the storybook format ..anyone know where it is available?

    cheers

  • Hey i love this song too guise, so imma post some of my bibles!:

"LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLO LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLO"

HAHAhaHA guess you didn't see that ONE

  • Amen

  • I pray I turn this day and every day into a beautiful day ! I chose to live and to be happy no matter where God places me in the many different seasons of life.

  • ♣♦♠♣♦♣♦♠♣♦♣♦♠♣♦♣♦♠♣♦♣♦♠♣♦

If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell. Matthew 5:29

  • excuse me young marm, i think you are offending some of the older listenings

  • This was great and I love the song, and I appreciate the sentiment, but what about Romans 10:9-10? The prayer at the end of this video is not biblical, therefore...no salvation. "CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH Jesus as LORD. And believe in your heart that GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, and you will be SAVED. For it is with the heart ONE BELIEVES UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS and with the mouth CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION." (caps for emphasis, not anger). Let's make sure we keep it biblical. Love in Christ

  • well just saying the sinners prayer will not get anyone saved saying anything will not get anyone born again it's when we really mean it the bible tells us Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. when person says please forgive me of all my sins he is repenting and the bible also says

  • 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

  • in the beginning of the prayer he is confessing that Jesus is Lord and that Jesus really did do for this person what was told unto this person third of all this person is asking for Gods gift of life forever and the bible says John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. so remember it's not always what we say

  • yes what we say is important but in this case it's not always just about what we say because when your surrendering your heart for salvation sometimes some people say no words at all because words are not enough express anything even more so when they are feeling such a powerful experience one like salvation anyway have a nice day and God bless you

  • truly touching. I was involved in a major car accident on the day that this video was posted in 2008. What a gracious reminder of how God helped me recover physically, mentally, and spiritually. His love is so deep for me...I hope for you to in whatever you are facing today. God loves you :) "This I know with all my heart, his wounds have paid my ranson" John 3:16

  • Nice song, and the video also..

  • Absolutely beautiful...Thanks for sharing...I will be sharing it with everyone I know! God Bless you and yours! Jen

  • If you are a leo, please be careful in your day to day job. Your safety and that you bring to others cannot be replaced. There are too few Christians in law enforcement. Blessings child. Be safe.

  • Why should i gain from His reward?

  • This is very beautiful. Many blessings in Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour

  • My best song!!! can any one tell me who composed this song?

  • Fernando Ortega

  • Thank you!

  • Actually it was written by Stuart Townend but it is performed here by Fernando Ortega.

  • Stuart also wrote "IN CHRIST ALONE" . Extremely gifted in writing lyrics that are both poetic and grounded theologically. A really lovely, encouraging and inspirational song.

  • Love this... so moving.

  • Fernando is new to me, but he certainly has a gift of hymn expression. The communication of this beautiful song is perfect. The love, grace, comes out so clearly. Lovely.

  • Praise to the Lord! Glory be to Him forever! Soon Lord Jesus come- Maranatha!!

  • such a beautiful song about the fathomless love of our God. the love that still that doesnt make sense to me but truly i am thankful for the precious blood that was shed for me. rejoice in this gift of love

  • TOP!!!

  • i luvv this song!

  • All you believing out there are blessed. The one and only God of this earth, the creator everything, loves you more then anything :)

  • iF THIS IS HELL ON EARTH AND YOU ARE A BELIEVER THAN THIS IS THE ONLY HELL YOU WILL SEE ,BUT IF YOU ARE NOT A BELIEVER THAN THIS IS THE ONLY HEAVEN THAT YOU WILL SEE.

  • Good comment

  • ?Hay un version de esta cancion en espanol? ?Sabe alguin?

  • beautiful, wonderful, mighty God, Prince of Peace......how heart touching this song is......blessing to you and your life as you seek to stand for the truth.....

  • Wonderful video. Thanks so much for using your gifts to bless others with the story of our Savior's love.

  • It sounds like some of the quotes in those pages were taken right from the Existentialist's Handbook. Why do I need Jesus if it depends on my will and my optimism? I forgot the Christian life was so sunny and cheery all the time if I only want it to be. Hmm...

  • this hymn.. never fails to send pierces through my heart..

  • Comment removed

  • After that rather harsh comment.. Thank you for taking the time to put this video together... and for caring to share about Christ... and for the beautiful music of Fernando Ortega

  • yes i agree with you fred... i just used it for illustration.. btw thanks for the appreciation.. God bless!

  • @fredastairefan It is about attitude. God is the author of Optimism and He has given it to us as a gift, while it is limited it is in no way worthless. Optimism is linked with faith, we all have faith in one thing or the other, lasting optimism is granted by a faith in God and a trust in Him that all will turn out to good in the end. Whatever we face if we have a faith in God we will conquer, God does not want any of us to suffer needlessly but what we do suffer is for our own blessing.

  • dear shas1814..hello! I believe that the time you viewed or visiting this site was not an accident or by chance. It has a purpose. Jesus loves you and he want you to give the real peace. Only thru Jesus Christ you can find REAL PEACE in life. Just believe on what Jesus did on the cross...He gave his life for you and for me....Trust on Jesus, he cares for you....Jesus Saves!!! Act.16:31

  • get away from MEN and seek the LORD

  • I suppose my initial, though not complete, response to your inquiry is that we are not God... God does as He Will... but what are WE to do? Jesus doesn't teach us to kill others... Muhammed teaches other men to kill. God is God. Muhammed is Muhammed... just as people are people. The question remains not why we should believe in Jesus... but why would we not? Concepts to consider: God's perfect justice, God's gift of faith through Grace... the NEW Covenant... and many more! God is available!

  • and when I read in the quran, or Koran, that killing a non believer resulted in martyrdom, I realized then and there that Jesus said to love one another, then go to Heaven.. and Mohammed said, kill the infidels (unbelievers) and go to heaven. Clearly I had a simple choice.

  • well said. Jesus is the way. just love him, and love everyone around you. Live your life for him. the choice is so simple :) Jesus is my life

  • Amen

  • "Jesus said to love one another... Mohammed said, kill the infidels"

Have you read your Old Testament lately?

God told his people to slaughter infidels, too.

In city after city, even whole nations.

God got mad if they spared a single soul,

except that he encouraged them at times

to keep a few very young virgins for sex slaves.

  • I've got a puppy. I really love him.

One day we went for a walk. We had a lot of fun.

Suddenly,he saw a rabbit and chased after it.

I called him to come back. They were running towards a frozen lake, but the ice was too thin. I knew that, but my puppy didn't listen.

He followed the rabbit on the ice,the ice broke and my dog disappeared in the cold water.

I raced after him, jumped into the water and rescued him.

I did it because I love him.

His life was more important to me than mine.

  • roesi1985

You did, of course, create that lake

and cover it with thin ice

    before starting your walk,

and you caused that rabbit to tempt the puppy

    just at that moment...

  • ... but not because I wanted the puppy to fall into the lake, but because I wanted the puppy to have the possibility to decide if he wants to listen to me or not...

  • "... but not because I wanted the puppy to fall into the lake, but because I wanted the puppy to have the possibility to decide if he wants to listen to me or not..."

    And...?

As you say, the puppy didn't listen.

And even now you'll rescue him

ONLY if he "repents" and says the "sinner's prayer."

    oops, we forgot-

once he falls into that lake of fiery-cold water

    he's stuck there for ever....

  • and I spent my dying hours

    in haste

and rather than find the light

    I squashed it

    because

    I

    could

  • I was wrong. I'm going to stop visiting these religious sites. People who value belief over intellect, fantasy over reality, are only going to experience it as hostility and it doesn't do a thing for my own peace of mind. I don't belong on these sites, doing what I've been doing. I don't really believe that confrontation brings peace. So I'll be deleting all my bookmarks and histories that might lead me back to these places and I'll stick to my own channel. Peace to all.
  • all i can say is that if your looking for peace. just have peace with God by believing his Son Jesus Christ. there is no real peace right now because on every side there is trouble and despair... but i can guarantee you that only the Lord Jesus Christ is the right person who can give you the peace that you are wanting for.....

  • @ffhurray Thank you, It about brought me to tears to finally see someone on Youtube with a real Christ centered attitude. I have dreamed of a day that Christians stop arguing and "yelling" at non-believers on Youtube. I dreamed that we would simply write, "I am praying for you" or give them the gospel. It is stupid when we argue with them, the devil is winning when we tell people to shut-up and not watch a video if they don't like it. What would Christ do?

  • @runnerdude1990 I agree but perhaps its not what WOULD Christ do that is so important. I think that it is better to show them what Jesus DID do

  • @Jeremiah6v8 Jesus didn't have Youtube. Not to make fun. Seriously, we have to take what He did do and figure out what He would do in this situation. It's pretty simple to tell what that would be! I like your attitude though, and this should be the conversations on these videos! God centered!

  • @shas1814 all i can say is...the things that convict us the most are, the things that come out of our mouths. There will come a day when we will regret our judgment that we bring upon ourselves.

  • @shas1814

i dont blame u but if u regret doing what u have been doing its never to late to ask god for forgiveness if thats the case becuz in the bible if u ask god for forgiveness and truly mean it with all your heart god will not hesitate to forgive u

  • @shas1814 Don't give up on looking at religious sites. You do so for a reason.

  • @gyamlj

As I said, I am well aware of my reasons.

    Religion is fantasy.

  • @shas1814

Hi C.S. Lewis-- a famous atheist for many years-- wrote in Surprised by Joy (an autobiography) that, "A young atheist "cannot guard his faith too carefully," that danger "lies in wait" on every side, and that a successful adherence to atheism depends on being very selective in one's reading (SbJ, 226, 191). "

Two big questions are "Did the resurrection happen?" and "Where's the body?"

Please see 1 Corinthians 15: 12-20. Also, please read Evidence that Demands a verdict

  • @treebyriver

One thing most christians share is an inability to read what others write.

This is an important skill when attempting to reconcile obvious contradictions, errors, and lies in the Bible, but it hinders interpersonal communication a lot.

I wrote a year ago that I am done debating religion on youtube.

Once you understand that simple statement

you'll see how silly it is for you to keep writing to me about religion.

Religion is delusion, folks, and I'm done discussing it.

  • Hi Shas. I read a few of your posts. Believe it or not, God is calling you to Him. You state that "a year ago" you would stop debating religion on youtube...but yet again you are here. We can not only believe on what we can see with our natural eyes. Do you see the wind blowing? No. We can only see the affects it has on what it touches. God is as real as the keyboard you are typing on. I pray that God blesses you and guides you to Him. He is the Truth, the Light and the Way.

  • @HopeInHim08

"You state that "a year ago" you would stop debating religion on youtube...but yet again you are here."

Please don't pretend that you know what your god is doing or saying to me.

That is arrogance and delusion of a serious magnitude.

I also refuse to accept you lies and accusations.

    I am NOT debating religion,

though you and some others are trying to provoke me to do so.

If you enjoy your religion, I congratulate you.

  • Hi Shas. I read a few of your posts. Believe it or not, God is calling you to Him. You state that "a year ago" you would stop debating religion on youtube...but yet again you are here. • @shas1814 Curious why you would come to, and post on such a video about a song of God's love upon undeserving people. I'm sure you know that Christians will respond. We believe God has "the cure for our deadly disease" and are commanded to share it. Anyone who believes they have such "cure" out of love would want to share it and help others! One thinks they don't need it, the other believes they do! Why be so hard on them? Unless you just want to stir things up.

  • @mhill247

But I am NOT stirring things up.

Why would you choose to display your hypocrisy in public like this?

I wrote a year ago that I am done debating religion on youtube.

Once you understand that simple statement

you'll see how silly it is for you to keep writing to me about religion.

  • @treebyriver On your reply to shas1814, Its relieving to know that we have some brothers and sisters out there who still honor and mirroe the character of the Christ. I just wanted to let you know that I acknowledged your patience and GENTLENESS! Very nice. Keep loving.

  • my suggestion, from a peaceful, loving vantage point.. is to get away from men.. and study the Gospel.... God will recreate a man out of a corrupt mass.

    >>>>work in progress = Cabe

  • Wonderful. John 3:3 says we must be born again to enter the Kingdom of God.

Romans 10:8-12 leads us to call out for our salvation. I pray to the Father (God) in Y'shua (Hebrew for Jesus) name. Hebrews 10:9-15 you do not have to take mass - ONCE was all it took for Y'shua to die and raise from the dead to pardon our sin and give us eternal life. Please read verse in a King James Bible. :)

  • wonderful.. I love it.

  • How beautiful!!!!!! Thank you for sharing this video/song with us! God bless!

  • where can i get this instrumental? I would love to perform it. Thanks

  • sorry but i don't have instrumental for this version. thanks!

  • What hope would I have without the Lord? I fall short , as all do, but by my Father's grace he has accepted me into his family.

I am nothing without him but I am all things with him in me. Thank You Lord!

  • Great song, but I am sick of these Arminian/Weslian gospel invitations. What ever happened to the sovereignty of Christ in ALL things...including salvation?

  • This is not an Arminian/Weslian gospel invitation. Your comment doesn't make sense. "bring many sons to glory" - those are obviously God's redeemed and chosen. This is a great song about what God has done through Jesus -- this is definitely not a man-centered song! Praise God for this song!

(I meant to hit the thumb's down icon . . . sorry for the confusion)

  • I would disagree with your comment about this song being Arminian/Weslyian in its offer of the Gospel. Consider the words, "I will not boast in anything . . . but I will boast in Jesus Christ, His death and Resurrection." Those lyrics are very similar to what Isaac Watts -- certainly a Calvinist -- penned centuries ago, "Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast, save in the death of Christ, my God; all the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to His Blood."

  • Perhaps your reaction is to the invitation in the form of the "Sinner's Prayer" at the end of the video. Both Reformed theology and Arminianism recognize the key elements of the Sinners Prayer or in the times of the Second Great Awakening and Charles Finney, the Sinner's Bench: repentance and faith. I think this song wonderfully uplifts Christ and seeks no glory for man, but all glory to God and His Son. Brother, appreciate the song; it upholds God's sovereignty.

  • An amazing song about our amazing God. Christ Lord be with us always.

  • This is very beautiful!and the way it is presented is very thought provoking!I hope many lives are changed as people open their eyes, hearts and minds to the will of God for their life!
