I have this issue now in my 1998 cadillac deville, everyone I have talked to has said it is due to bad bearings in the pulley. What did it end up being with your maxima?
yeah sounds like an A/C compressor. You sure its the alt? Do the socket Extension hearing test. Works wonders when you dont know if it is alt. idler pulley, ps pump or ac/comp
This is what my car is sounding like now. I'm trying to figure out if I need a new alternator or new pulley bearings. Thanks for this useful video!
