Also you got to be impressed by the mentality of the canadians. For example the last junior championships when they beat the russians in the semi and sweden in the final. The way they beat the russians, coming back like they did, is impressive

I'm afraid so flyers4life123. Truth is, Russia has one title more by now than Canada. And the fact that half of the best North American players don't play at WC or OG applies to teams like Russia (Ovetchkin, Malkin, Datsyuk , Kovalev etc.) or Sweden (Lidström, Sundin etc.) as well. And I don't think players like Heatley, St. Louis, Roy, Spezza etc. are rookies. So I who is talking shit here?

Kandi and flyers: The only tournament that really does count nowadays is The Olympics. Before it was Canada Cup. I cant remember the last world championship where all the best players played... So the last real battle was the winter olympics in '06 and who won then?? ;)

Also... I played one year in the US back in '98 and learned how to keep my head up! :) By far the best team in the NHL is detroit and they do have loads of europeans (swedes and russians) and theese players have learned to play hockey the american way..but still over 50% of the players in the nhl come from north america.
