GM Chontas has done an entire series of hyungs on youtube and I believe that the quality is superb. I've been training for over 19 years and I find his videos to be useful.
why so much condemnation,i found it nicely performed, grandmaster jhoon ree does this form in 13 sec,1 breath,13 feet, shoulders never drop, maybe some of you expert mouths would like to try it?my applause to GM Randall Chontas!
This master performs all moments of the forms he demonstrates with extreme precision, strength and grace. Every moment and and technique is properly loaded and executed showing the focus of each moment with incredible clarity. Anyone who diminishes these performances diminishes and embarrasses himself. His stances are perfect. The depth and height of stances can very depending on whether speed or stability is being enhanced. Same is true with how high the knee is raised in forms and basics.
I am currently learning this form- I'm a 1rst gup. I found this very useful; I recently obtained this belt, so I've had trouble with the Waist Twisting in Naihanchi Cho Dan. Thank you.
This was very good- how long have you been doing Tang Soo Do for?
I have been out of Tang Soo Do not for 6 years, disappointingly, but am returning to obtain my black belt and then go on to become an instructor with my own school. I found your videos very helpful to get me back into the swing of things. Thank you!
This is awesome. Most of the YouTube videos of forms I've run across demonstrate either sloppy or overly showy maneuvers which have little to do with the common sense or original beauty inherent in these forms. Three cheers for your GM. Seriously.
I like this form, it seems pretty cool. I'm nowhere near advanced enough to perform it, I mean I can learn it but yeah.. I'm testing for my brown belt next Thursday, so the highest form I really know is Pyung Sah Dan, I just learned that last night as a request in a one on one class with my Sah Bum Nim.
The man performing that form is my master Grandmaster Randall Chontas. He has been practicing Tang Soo Do for 26 years. He won the bronze medal in the 1996 ITF world Tournament in Black Belt forms and team forms, the gold medal in the 1994 ITF World Tournament in black belt forms, and gold medal in the world Kul Sool Won Association's National Martial arts Extravaganza Tournament in black belt forms. Who are you?
some one who trains with martial artists that hav been training special forces members how to kill, and have been training for over 30 years and traind the police at the age of 14, who is your instructor again?
A brown belt. xD Sorry that I had no respect. I was having a bad day and was very nitpick-y on everything. I guess I was just taught to keep a deep horsestance all the way through and keep the foot I step with above my knee.
