Well, since these guys don't have time to turn about and hunt for the pick they dropped, they'll often fit a device called a pick holder around their mic stands. It's just a quick way to have a spare pick on hand in case he the one he's using. If you watch some more live vids and look for it, you'll notice it in a lot of the them.

Am I the only one that felt that the music drowned out the singers? I dunno if that's post-studio magic, but it's pretty bad, it made the music sound tinny. I really don't care if they used Auto-tune (they can't really re-schedule for post-recovery, they have a promo schedule to maintain), but at least the sound engineer should have some sense of vocal vs music balance. I still prefer this over a duet with Taylor Swift, she's kinda monotone for me. I'll look for another live performance.
