14:40 Persons are gifts wrapped Some are wrapped beautifully: they are very attractive when I first see them. Some come in ordinary wrapping paper. Others have been mishandled in the mail. Once in a while there is a special delivery ! Some persons are gifts which are very loosely wrapped, not sealed. Others are tightly wrapped, practically locked, enigmas really, almost forbidding. But the wrapping is not the gift ! Every meeting of persons is an exchange of gifts.
@ACEMOM2010 Yep it is. Tourettes, Autism and in some cases severe OCB/OCD are all a change in the same part of the brain. There ARE physical signs too, it's not just behaviours.
Also this guy... not all people with Aspergers want or need treatment, in fact there's a GROWING number of people who don't because they don't believe it's an 'illness". The latest treatment for Autism is oxytocin not shock therapy, how much research did you do?
This man could be selling used cookware on the street. I'd still believe that he's an intellectual and expert in whatever field he claims to represent.
In the Bible it says that God would use the things that this world despises to shame the things that the world thinks is valuable. Our failure to people with these differences is we are afraid of what we don't understand and fail to love them for who they are and give them time and room to be just who God made them to be.
Thank you for taking a different approach. As i see it you just do not label gifted people, but look for a person's original ability. Some do not understand that you are not saying that their uniqueness is real. But i do and i agree. God created us all different, He likes different kinds of trees and animals and plants, and people.
Maybe I will put up a video about Aspergers Syndrome because I have it I dont know. Do you guys think its a good idea? Please dont mark this as spam because I am not trying to promote my channel I am just looking for what you guys think
Aspergers is real, I almost certainly have it. I have many of the symptoms and I don't know how this man can say that the disorder is not real. It severely interferes with my ability to function in society. I don't advocate the use of medication, but that doesn't mean that in extreme cases it isn't warranted (I personally refuse it, but there are still other options). It is irresponsible to dismiss medication. I think it should be used after the natural and less harmful methods have failed.
While some childhood diagnoses are suspect, for example ADHD involves a lot of typical behaviour and can be mimicked by other problems, not all of them are. Autism is certainly real and needs some form of treatment. I spend time with an autistic child and his behaviour leaves me with no doubt that his diagnosis is genuine. And this guy is behind the times on vaccines. The study that linked autism to vaccines was fudged, big time (Lancet retracted it publicly). There was no causation at all.
@wander099 He said he's not a real expert, he's just giving his personal insight. He makes a good point about shock therapy, it shows to be deconstructive. The other thing is that it is very likely that many intelligent and bright people were so because of autism/aspergers syndrome. Especially high functioning. Albert Einstein and Thomas Edison are good likely examples to name a few.
Wtf is this man saying, we don't care about the weather and how hot it is. We can clearly see that you didn't watch the forecast. What a waste of my time!!!
i think this man has forgotten what the point of psychology is. as a part of the medical community, our role is to help. the DSM is not a law book for sentencing. the purpose of this psychological taxonomy is to figure out how to minimize their struggle, NOT to deny the existence of people's problems and difficulties because of its impact on the taxonomic system.
i don't want to adapt my filing system so LALALALALALALALA
this person clearly does not understand what autism is about - that's his problem but I SERIOUSLY OBJECT to him using a photograph of my son who has aspergers syndrome in the middle of the video. I do not want my son's image to be used in a video which contains stuff I do not agree with. Please REMOVE this image.
I have autism myself and I was BORN autistic; it had nothing to do with vaccines or toxns. It was all genetic. The problem most autistics have the most trouble with is stigma and the ignorance of other people about autistic people. Understanding and empathy is what we need the most We are told we do not show empathy but we do not receive it either.
ECT is not good for this kind of thing,by the way aspegers is not a disease its to do with how the front of the brain works most people with AS like me can do odd things like sing and read another book and here bothe words at the same time.due to being able to use both sides of the brain seperately..you need to study a bit more before you made this vid.....jeff
There is no autisim epidemic. We are just getting better at requionising it. Before this "epidemic" people with autism were labed as retarded, skitsophrenic or simply "encentric"
Kill the aspies! Drive them to the oceans, and drown their young! Impale them on fallen branches tipped with obsidian! Tie up their hands and feet, set fire to their faces, and let them slowly sink in quicksand! Smash their hands and feet, then lock them in a cage full of hungry, angry pigs! Create a huge beef grinder, then feed them through, slowly, feet-first! Shove thermite up their asses! Grease them up, and shove them down the throats of whales! Skin them alive then kill 'em all with fire!
As I was listening to the part about the statistical rise in autism, I had a random thought: Could it actually be an evolutionary jump? Lowered social abilities, heightened academic and artistic talents. It seems from the spectrum of human life that we can't easily have both rated high, so which is better? The social world is so much pretentious junk... and yes, I have Asperger's, and it has made my life difficult. The most difficult parts have been interacting with neurotypicals, though.
Dizzymisslizzylane, you are correct! people expect me to be able to do ythe things they can and they dont understand why I cant because they are lucky enough to not be in our shoes, but i am grateful god made me this waqy because I can do things that NM people cannot and they get so mad ha ha ha, but still, we waste our time talking to people who are not knowing. you know what? normal people only win by majority. If most of us have aspergers, then we would be giving them meds like they tell usto
1 second ago I am totally burnt out. 4 years of caretaking my mother, and no days off. we also do not have any other family, nor do we know anyonbe here very well....I cannot find help...or have the money for vacation...plus our car died....I am falling apart. I have ADD/ADHD/Aspburgers....this is not going to end well. chemistkat58@yahoo.com
i have 2 autistic sons who r perfect to me. eccentric was normal life growing up for me. i have Hemochromatosis.my liver traps iron & metals. my mom has it & bipolar. she was norm to me cause she was my only mom lol. since her mind worked differently, i was normal. i am mildly autistic. i do feel there is a link to our diets & level of metals in the body. hi iron levels in causes 'my world' to turn & feel unsafe. cant explain how horrible that feels & no control. metals do play a part
In my opinion, the only experts are people who have it, live with it, or spend tons of time engaging with an autistic person. it's not something you can study from afar because they all differ. Just my opinion.
i think the hardest part about living with aspergers is when people look at you or talk to you they think your just a "normal Person". That can be good in some ways like "fitting in" but they expect more out of you and when something happens that they dont understand they make fun of you not knowing you have a disablilty.
@RightfullyReticent However, I have found a positive side to having CP, just tonight - I was at the local baseball diamonds, and I met a father whose 4-year old girl has just been diagnosed with right hemiplegic CP - the same that I have. I know that through my experiences and my battles, I can play a huge role in this little girl's life and help her on her journey. (And, since I can't play sports, I study a lot. I have great grades! Another plus!)
@RightfullyReticent I get the question "Why do you have a brace on your leg?" and I tell them about my CP, but I find I get the same question from the same person a month later. I suppose they kind of make it a supressed memory. And GOD FORBID I attempt to explain to them what CP is.
@RightfullyReticent Wow. I would have torn a strip off of that guy. (Sorry, where I live it means yell at. It's kind of a rural area. :P) I guess anybody who is less-than-what-is-socially-accepted-as-perfect (for you, NT people, for me, AB people, AB meaning 'able-bodied') tries to ignore the fact that people are different. In history, it's the same way. (Racism, slavery, etc)
@RightfullyReticent I have Cerebral Palsy and I feel the same way... I'm not happy to have CP, but I'm not sure that if I had the option to get rid of it, I would. I don't define myself as 'That kid with CP,' but it IS a part of who I am.
@egyptchik24 actually 1 in 155 kids is only a liberal estimation. i actually doubt it's that high. the reason it is "1 in 155" is because they have widened the range filling more people than before, and now ADHD, tourettes and bi-polar are now being added to borderline autism, and because some are considering that down syndrome and fetal alcohol syndrome could also be a form of autism.
I agree, this does have to do with more diagnoses. It's nice to hear it. I wish he were a better talker. And just because he doesn't have autism doesn't mean he doesn't know about it! Certainly, there are experts. And even if he isn't an expert, he can still have learned a lot about it.
@opait i think when he pointed out he wasnt an expert, he was acknowledging he, himself, had not been diagnosed with any autistic disorder or had hands on experience with the learning & developing of a close relative who had been diagnosed & pointing out the importance of interacting & observing & taking the time to giving yourself to the world of an autistic child is the only way we can truly learn more about it cause the expert the autistic one. he should had been more clear w/his message.
@dizzymisslizzylane people are very misunderstood about aspergers. i have it and i can tell you right now you dont know what it is like unless your are born with it!
@dizzymisslizzylane I don't think that's a very fair statement, you seem to be saying any 'neurotypical' who has devoted time and effort to study and understand ASDs has an invalid opinion. You're making the same mistake, if not a worse one than what you're complaining against, in that you're segregating people into anonymous groups. why not judge every individual's opinion separately rather than pre-judging based on stereotypes
@Falconhawk123 That's not what so-called means man... So-called simply questions the appropriateness of something. In this case he uses it to question the appropriateness of the term 'disease', etc. Disease in terms of mental issues is often viewed as a harsh term. Furthermore, the term 'so-called' can simply refer to a term used commonly to encapsulate/ describe something. So if I say "so-called flame-baiting", I am saying that the issue at hand is commonly referred to as flame-baiting.
PLEASE check out a great Children's book about Autism, PDD and ADHD called 'Why Is He Different?' (Please spread the word about this unique book, tell your friends and tell me what you think about it. Big thanks!!). You can preview it on youtube profile called Monalisaknew. Just copy and paste the following sentence in youtube search window: 'Why Is He Different? (Autism Book)'
You can also buy this book on AthsePublishing(dot)com. Thank You !!
I dont think he knows what he is talking about............my only concern is that the eating of certain foods in the mother do have a effect on baby. but this dont just prattles and says nothing and mayo clinic has a great success with seizures, and fear of people is also, ask jenny mc carthy not this idoit also had a friend that had shock treament not good and this man shouldbe sent to a farm........
I have personally seen ect(electro-covulsant therapy) and I cant believe anyone would consider using this on autistic kids.
anyone know any new ways of dealing with sensory issues?I am on waiting list for a 2nd round of occuaptional therapy for my son, just wondering if there are alternatives.
My tourette's symptoms are classified by three rare character groups. These are Coprolalia, echolaila, and copopraxia....But! I still do pretty well and manage to stay fairly happy and successful.
But anyone would have a hard time paying attention to anything with the kinds of motor tics I have. So I don't buy that I'm A.D.H.D...It's just a can't quit ticing long enough to pay attention thing. But I'm not on any meds for these. I take natural supplements and only 2 medications to help with my seizures. But I'm very smart. I have severe trouble in math, and social situations. But I'm very good at reading and writing.
I have a fairly severe form of Tourette's Syndrome. It's compounded with aspergers syndrome which is very rare. Some of the symptoms are Obsessive compulsive, Severe bipolar swings, and learning disabilities due to so called A.D.H.D...
Again, that typical you-are-not-a-parent-so-shut-up attitude. I really wish that people spewing it would stop thinking about themselves for a change.
No 1 - I didnt tell you to shut up I merely mentioned the fact that you are obviously not a parent
No 2 what did I spew exactly?
No 3 are you proud of being a troll?
No 4 - Im not thinking about me all the time - in fact at this preceise moment Im thinking about you, so doesnt that make you the one with the issue? come back with a solid argument rather than insults and you might gain a little more respect.
No 1- I never said that you told me to shut up, I simply said that you have that attitude.
No 2 you spew typical "curbie" rehtoric.
No 3 I am not a troll. A troll is someone who likes to post inflammatory comments for no other reason that to get a reaction.
No 4 If you take after people like Jenny McCarthy who implies that she would rather have breast cancer than an autistic child, you are like her; selfish.
I do have solid argument. I have a video that does that precisely...
you can not change the paths your brain hasd already chosen this electric shock bullshit is disgusting and wrong, how can you change paths that your brain has already chosen thats what it does there is no wonder ppl turn out vegtables your changin the whole brain structure so fuckin wrong. ppl who do this r just sick mother fuckers and need the loony bin there selves end of!
It's what's going on in the soul that makes the brain wire itself up badly. Any electric shock treatment, drugs or positive thinking can't undo what the soul does to it. That's why psychology can't cure people, only temorarily alleviate.
After treatment, the brain just goes back to what it was doing before. The same goes with the body. This is why it's so hard to treat it.
Holly crap- thats dissgusting, ANYONE would succomb to behave like vegetables if they were having electric shocks!! Havent those doctors read thier HISTORY?? OM.G. it's the DOCTORS that need to change THEIR WAYS, AND HAVE A BETTER WAY- A BETTER METHOD through observation and understanding not putting 20,000 volts into their skulls!! Jeez.................The children need EXTRA love, EXTRA care EXTRA PATIENCE..and that will help surely..
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
they should all be killed before birth or they will become rapists and child molesters they are not human they are all mongoloid freaks who like MUTILATING INNOCENT BABIES
Check out Alex Juno , a gifted pianist, speaking about his diagnosis of Aspergers to understand how people with Aspergers learn to cope with the world
You've gotta shock people to get normal... We humans are such full-blown herd-animals that difference for its' own sake just cannot exist (even if there's always mutations in the nature). It just HAS to be a sign of mental retardation/disturbance. Will take another millions of years to grow out of that idea! :)
When did autism go through the roof? It started in 1987 when thirmosol was introduced into vaccines. This is eugenicists plain and simple you fucking jack ass. Only the rich like Dan Marino and Jen McCarthy can overcome this fucking disease( understand I am a Christian you fucking asshole) Go eat you GMO. Dismiss Codex you fucking assholes. contrails do not exist. Government is good you fucking assholes. You fucking intellectual doctors can kiss my blue collar ass.
Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
You are so uneducated. Thimosol was introduced in the early 1930's. This is not eugenics. Eugenics is the same as prejudice. That led to the Holocaust and the death of about 11 million people plus the tens of millions of allies who died fighting Hitler. To say that autism is eugenics is an insult to all those who died between 1933-1945 due to fascist governments.
It is worth remembering that any human can lose their ability to display an active, participative and vital will AT ANY TIME due to any number of illnesses/conditions.
Of course, John advocates a much more organic and internal appreciation of the principle of humanity and personality in 'presumed (assuming the presence of) intellect', but with sound application, the MHA 2005 could re-empower many people in the UK who may have lost their 'voices' due to cognitive impairment through stroke, Alzheimers, dementia, catatonia etc (as well as hundreds more 'conditions').
to "presume (a person's) capacity" unless incapacity can be determined and, if so, to what extent that person is 'incapable'. Instead of "presumed incapacity."
Residents of the UK may identify some aspects of the "Mental Capacity Act 2005" (which came fully into effect in 2007)in what John descibes here as "presumed intellect". Of course, the Mental Capacity Act is a legal, professional framework containing some ethical principals to help workers on the areas of learning disability, mental health services and the legal system as well as parents, guardians and appointees...
You seem like a very compasionate person and the world could use more educateing from your prospective.I have autism and ironically live in Ms.and MSU Medical Center is where my 10 yr.old daughter was diagnosed. I unfortunatly have not found any professions compitant or trustworthy that I can gain advise or understanding from and the world just keeps getting smaller.I wish more people like you were available here so more people like me would`nt have to live in isolation.
This is no matter of a lack of evidence or indeed fallicy of methodology or indeed a question of soundness of theory; this is peer pressure to conform with accepted models. Those accepted models are very often perscribed by academics motivated by political and economic incentives in keeping with government policy.
As a scientist (physicist specifically) I can maintain that if one's peers do not deem the subject of one's research to be economically and politically in keeping with -current- preconceptions and scientific models, then it is most difficult to prove something when one is physically prevented from doing so.
Autism is caused by chemicals - look at the children who are over exposed to flouride in the water, or aluminum in the inoculations. Try to deny it, but proof is abundant. Read "Rise of the Fourth Reich".
Ah, the famous "conspiracy theory" line. In the 1930's, when Germans started noticing things and speaking up, they were called "alarmists". Modern-day times label the people as "conspiracy theorists". There is PLENTY of scientific evidence (GROWING evidence at that) showing sodium flouride as a NEUROTOXIN. This IS serious science and PROVEN. YOU are a lost soul... and realize, too, that psychiatric science is a YOUNG science, most played with by... Germans.
So this turns into a racist tyrade against German scientists?
I doubt Wilhelm Wundt was a Nazi conspirator considering most of his work took place in the 19th century and he was dead in 1920. I also doubt Austrian Freud or Swiss Jung had much to do with Marrs' "Illuminati".
I think you should leave this banter for the late night talk radio crowd, yes? Some of us are interested in the real science behind the disorder.
Produce some peer reviewed studies for your above claims. Prove causality.
No.. It's just that as an academic, I've learned not to believe everything frightened lay persons spout from their mouths. This "lost soul" already knows your argument holds little validity. You need to expand your sources beyond conspiracy theories and into well grounded scientific research if you want anyone to take you seriously.
I'm afraid ad hominem attacks do not make up for lack of evidence. Your claim is that autism and fluoride exposure have a strong correlation. That's not well established. It's actually a rather fringe theory with a handful of supporters at this point, and no significant research to support it. Don't just use google, search ACADEMIC JOURNALS. Consider the validity of your sources in the future. Thank you.
It's worth nothing I am not interested in racist tirades against the Jews either.
Look at aspartame - most are told not to even consider the topic. They cannot get funding (surprise surprise) or published in mainstream journals (gee, they are influenced/owned by those who don't want it published). And most are too stupid to do the research. Fringe - you say it isn't 'official' until some 'official' publication or mainstream "guru" says it is. Keep believing the sun revolves around the Earth. Academic - you should be ashamed for cowering behind such excuses.
If you can't FUND the research, then the research has not happened and this is speculation. If you can't hold your own against peer review (which is what it takes to get published in an academic journal), then there is a strong likelihood you can't support your findings.
You use an interesting metaphor. The people who believed the sun revolved around the Earth did so because of their lack of scientific understanding. What your suggesting is nothing short of the rejection of science itself.
What I am suggesting is that uneducated and unintelligent idiots like you are the ones that hold back the truth and progress. Again - the research is out there and the references exist. But go ahead and keep on believing the lies. Many of these children suffer for no reason - and countless examples have shown a child that improves after they've been treated for mercury and other toxin poisoning. If you don't like it, then remain in the dark like a mushroom.
because he loses his train of thought and moves a little as he explains it I know what he means cause I have movements and dont like to stand ridgid and still and ive been picked on it throughout my life..But I've realized that it isnt that abnormal..it is unnatural to stand static..Living creatures are not static unless they are dead...I urged the kid (he's like 15 or 16) and urged him to watch this video and to get off abilify.
The person Im refering to is the kid whose Youtube name is DaJa...talking about his aspergers. He talks about symptoms he experiences and they remind me of my difficulties to this day...Hopefully he gets of those Meds and finds healthy ways to cope and find his way...
Im watching videos of younger people who have the same difficulties as me ...or those characteristics particular to the diagnosis of aspergers and I understand what they mean..I suggest different types of non drug therapies
vocal yoga, chant, word articulation practice through reading out loud, while working with dynamics..Yoga and kinisthenics and balance exercises for physical coordination..also I suggest that people not be hyper critical and put such heavy expectations on there kids.
I'm not sure whether in "professional" opinions the work of Barry Kaufmann is considered Quackery, but as a Person who plays many roles on the planet his saying "To Love Is To Be Happy With" has helped me come to terms with "What Is" and be myself when being with others and that has allowed others to be them selves.
Thanks for your lecture, it has been helpful for me
One of the things about civilize living is the leadership is at least in part auto disabled. You could probably get locked up for saying that. In other times you could get put to death for saying that. It is the group or hierarchical mind. Essentially what it means is the leaders tend to believe that control is more important than reason or intellegence.. It is a variation of a concentration camp mentality. If you try to escape they will kill you. It does not matter if there is a reason.
We have some very sclerotic mental processes going on in organizational mentality and behavior. This is part of fearing and believing in death. In many ways we impose stupidity on one another as an organizational strategy. The problem with this is hierarchy invariably supports a lie that people must believe if they choose to belong or hold status. Another way to say that is you must believe the leaders even if they are threatening your existence and you know they are lying. It's like 911.
Life is primarily dependent on truth, but then becomes dependent on believing lies as it advances in civilized gaming reality. How much do "strangers" believe you? How much money or status have you won in the game? That's how much. Common reality beliefs unfortunately mostly oppose truth. Our ability to succeed, corresponds to our ability to operate in a maze of untruth. If a person is really stuck on the truth, they will never ever hold status, and will never be believed by groups of people.
I just began my career working with individuals that have developmental disabilities, and I must say, the professionals that I work with in this field have a fundamental lack of knowledge about the impact of nutrition on Autism. The behavioral specialists and counselors that work in this field seem to be uninformed about the impact of food on this, and other diagnoses. The cafeteria is stocked with processed foods and is laden with simple carbohydrates. This further proliferates the problem.
Thank you Dr. Breeding for spreading the word about this pharmaceutically made disease! You have likely helped many people and I salute you for your willingness to speak out!
Shock thearapy is just another medical word for CHILD ABUSE! This world is getting sicker each day! They cause autism by injecting mercury laden vaccinations in our children, then after they poison them, they submit them to shock treatment.
I can't stand this man who has asbergers. We say he has assholes disease. He is manipulative so much and gossips and most of us can't stand him bec. he stalks women. He definetly has a psychiatric illness but why is he such a jerk! Don't tell me he lacks social skills, please.
their not diseases. isnt a disease considered like an illness that spreads? well autism and ADD are NOT contagious. just like Down's syndrome is not contagious or hereditary at all.
silentmiaow has a series of interviews with one Laura who talked how society should support the deficits and talents of autistic people and anyone who is not neurotypical in general, just as you get support if you have an injury or otherwise are physically incapacitated and in that way a person with a predicament gets somewhere in life.
Yes, It would be a good idea to make a video on "autism and electroshoc". This is so harmfull!
To vaccination I want to say, that I didn't get vaccination right after birth, but showed autistic signs right after birth. So, for my case, this can't be true.
omg, thats awful. but whats your point, to my reply? that he could've survived if he had a vaccine? if that is your point, then sure, maybe. but then explain why some girls are in the hospital or DIED because of a vaccine they took recently to prevent cervical cancer? a vaccine is like injecting you the Virus. people who get flu vaccines end up feeling worse than before. my neighbor plans to never take one again. and i've never in my life gotten a flu vaccine. and i always recovered, with herbs
Aspergers is high functioning autism. Aspies can almost pass as normal they appear shy perhaps.I forgot to mention Aspergers can also be caused by a difficult birth!
I know like in any mental illness being their friend and reaching them one on one is the best therapy. I'm glad you made this video. I didn't know some of this even a few years ago. Sadly not everyone who is a psychologist/psychiatrist is in it for the right reasons. Hence why we have these horror stories ie Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
Autism like schizophrenia seems to have several causes it can be hereditary runs in the family, it can be caused by environmental factors vacines or chemical poisons. Perhaps they are allergic to something in the environment or vaccine although it doesn't mean the vaccine is bad. Autism seems also a disease of the immune system . A large number of austistic children improve on a casein gluten free diet. Theory is it stays in body travels to brain and ends up inhibiting social function.
Well, as you said you're no expert. Still, I found your comments to be very measured and sensitive. I'm not familiar with you or your work, but think these kids would benefit from a professional such as yourself becoming involved in therapies/treatments of autism. I agree some of the increase is due to diagnostics but strongly believe that there's a genetic predisposition that manifests once a certain environmental trigger is present. Possibly vaccine-related but certainly immune system related.
I, ATF, was diagnosed with Autism at a young age. back in about 1985-86. Sometime around than since I was no more than 5 at the time its hard to say I honestly do not remember life back than I find it strange they can tell much of anything behavioral about a 5 year old.
This is a good video. If the best therapy that the top of the hierarchy can come up with is children urinating and defecating on a naked statue of their mother, we have a problem. Also it is a good way of looking at it. To expect a person to be intelligent and to treat a person as if he or she was intelligent as opposed to disabled.
Blame it on the children... That's crazy!... Great video!.... Blaming it on the children seems like the Adult thing to do... point the finger on something else then yourself.. i once heard that autism come from having the TV for a baby setter....
The "adults" abuse there kids and when they act up or can't control them anymore... well there must be something wrong with the child.... all crazy crazy stuff!!...
Well accepting people who are not normal is fine but preventing them from hurting themselves would be the problem. Therefore neuro stim cell research is important. Unless you feel that someone who is autistic should just live and let live. I guess survival of the fittest comes to play.
idk much about stem cell research but yes, keeping them from hurting themselves is also valuable. sorry. i was being pessimistic. :P survival of the fittest? i never liked that theory.
I am about 100% sure, that the Republican Administration were the perps of 911 and a constant deluge of lies since 911. If we accept that it means we accept the fact that we don't give a crap what is real, and the only thing we care about is supporting all the variety of lies that compose the illusion of status. It is amazing we are not all sociopaths like the leaders. People really slaughter one another in the war, but the reason is, they are scared not to. It is monolithic hierarchal behavior.
What does perception, conception, and thought have to do with the mind, nervous system and senses? What do injuries have to do with getting injured??????? What does being fragmented have to do with becoming fragmented?
People do horrible things for status or money. Sometimes the horrible part is not intended or acknowledged. The terms of normal are common belief or acceptance. A child's basic mind can be affected by the adverse reality of adults. They don't engage in the adversity, but they can be affected by the adversity. There are unseen factors. There can be neuological traits that people breed themselves for. People can breed themselves for propriety and appearance obsessions. Like you for instance.
hi there thanks so much for sharing this! as a psych student myself i can appreciate how important this information is...ppl need to start taking mental health more seriously and the ppl dealing with autism and similar differences in psychological being. peace and blessings!
I know every now and again they come up with a social experiment where they test the limits of personal ethicality of general hierarchal archtypes. The way it works is once a person gets status within a hierarchy, he or she no longer becomes responsible for their ethical behavior. They play by the rules. The overriding rule is "don't get caught" or "ejected" and "know what you can get away with". This is why we can have entire nations or civilizations going to war on one another.
The thing is, all except for basic sensory information almost all the news we get is based on sided or hierarchal fabrication, and the only real danger is that of being expelled from a system of lies for acknowledging that there is such a thing a well integrated truthful point of view, and that hierarchal behavior is conceptually unbalanced. Why was Jesus put to death? At that time in history there were very few indivuals who were not victims of the tyranny of that time in history.

There was no causation at all.
wander099 1 year ago
@wander099 He said he's not a real expert, he's just giving his personal insight. He makes a good point about shock therapy, it shows to be deconstructive. The other thing is that it is very likely that many intelligent and bright people were so because of autism/aspergers syndrome. Especially high functioning. Albert Einstein and Thomas Edison are good likely examples to name a few.

i think this man has forgotten what the point of psychology is. as a part of the medical community, our role is to help. the DSM is not a law book for sentencing. the purpose of this psychological taxonomy is to figure out how to minimize their struggle, NOT to deny the existence of people's problems and difficulties because of its impact on the taxonomic system.

In my opinion, the only experts are people who have it, live with it, or spend tons of time engaging with an autistic person. it's not something you can study from afar because they all differ. Just my opinion.
autismguide 1 year ago
i think the hardest part about living with aspergers is when people look at you or talk to you they think your just a "normal Person".

Another plus!)
freefallingmonkey 1 year ago
@RightfullyReticent I get the question "Why do you have a brace on your leg?" and I tell them about my CP, but I find I get the same question from the same person a month later. I suppose they kind of make it a supressed memory. And GOD FORBID I attempt to explain to them what CP is.
freefallingmonkey 1 year ago
@RightfullyReticent Wow. I would have torn a strip off of that guy. (Sorry, where I live it means yell at. In history, it's the same way. (Racism, slavery, etc)
freefallingmonkey 1 year ago
@RightfullyReticent I have Cerebral Palsy and I feel the same way... I'm not happy to have CP, but I'm not sure that if I had the option to get rid of it, I would. I don't define myself as 'That kid with CP,' but it IS a part of who I am.

egyptchik24 1 year ago
@egyptchik24 actually 1 in 155 kids is only a liberal estimation. i actually doubt it's that high. the reason it is "1 in 155" is because they have widened the range filling more people than before, and now ADHD, tourettes and bi-polar are now being added to borderline autism, and because some are considering that down syndrome and fetal alcohol syndrome could also be a form of autism.
ultradumbass 1 year ago
I agree, this does have to do with more diagnoses. It's nice to hear it. I wish he were a better talker. And just because he doesn't have autism doesn't mean he doesn't know about it! Certainly, there are experts. And even if he isn't an expert, he can still have learned a lot about it.

jamesdragonforce 11 months ago
@Falconhawk123 That's not what so-called means man... So-called simply questions the appropriateness of something. In this case he uses it to question the appropriateness of the term 'disease', etc. Disease in terms of mental issues is often viewed as a harsh term. Furthermore, the term 'so-called' can simply refer to a term used commonly to encapsulate/ describe something. So if I say "so-called flame-baiting", I am saying that the issue at hand is commonly referred to as flame-baiting.

McPfoot 2 years ago
It's what's going on in the soul that makes the brain wire itself up badly. Any electric shock treatment, drugs or positive thinking can't undo what the soul does to it. That's why psychology can't cure people, only temorarily alleviate.
After treatment, the brain just goes back to what it was doing before. The same goes with the body. This is why it's so hard to treat it.

Eugenics is the same as prejudice. That led to the Holocaust and the death of about 11 million people plus the tens of millions of allies who died fighting Hitler. To say that autism is eugenics is an insult to all those who died between 1933-1945 due to fascist governments.

MuntucoGer1 3 years ago
to "presume (a person's) capacity" unless incapacity can be determined and, if so, to what extent that person is 'incapable'. Instead of "presumed incapacity."
MuntucoGer1 3 years ago
Residents of the UK may identify some aspects of the "Mental Capacity Act 2005" (which came fully into effect in 2007)in what John descibes here as "presumed intellect". Of course, the Mental Capacity Act is a legal, professional framework containing some ethical principals to help workers on the areas of learning disability, mental health services and the legal system as well as parents, guardians and appointees...

beth312312 3 years ago
This is no matter of a lack of evidence or indeed fallicy of methodology or indeed a question of soundness of theory; this is peer pressure to conform with accepted models. Those accepted models are very often perscribed by academics motivated by political and economic incentives in keeping with government policy.
AlexanderOppenheimer 3 years ago
As a scientist (physicist specifically) I can maintain that if one's peers do not deem the subject of one's research to be economically and politically in keeping with -current- preconceptions and scientific models, then it is most difficult to prove something when one is physically prevented from doing so.
AlexanderOppenheimer 3 years ago
Autism is caused by chemicals - look at the children who are over exposed to flouride in the water, or aluminum in the inoculations. Try to deny it, but proof is abundant. Read "Rise of the Fourth Reich".
rarelibra 3 years ago
That's not.. seriously literature. That's conspiracy theorist fiction. We're discussing psychology here, which is slightly more grounded in reality.
mistertakeda 3 years ago
Ah, the famous "conspiracy theory" line. In the 1930's, when Germans started noticing things and speaking up, they were called "alarmists". Modern-day times label the people as "conspiracy theorists". There is PLENTY of scientific evidence (GROWING evidence at that) showing sodium flouride as a NEUROTOXIN. This IS serious science and PROVEN. YOU are a lost soul... and realize, too, that psychiatric science is a YOUNG science, most played with by... Germans.
rarelibra 3 years ago 2
So this turns into a racist tyrade against German scientists?
I doubt Wilhelm Wundt was a Nazi conspirator considering most of his work took place in the 19th century and he was dead in 1920. I also doubt Austrian Freud or Swiss Jung had much to do with Marrs' "Illuminati".
I think you should leave this banter for the late night talk radio crowd, yes? Some of us are interested in the real science behind the disorder.
Produce some peer reviewed studies for your above claims. Prove causality.
mistertakeda 3 years ago
If you are too stupid to Google "autism" and "chemicals" and "flouride neurotoxin" then you are too dumb to be proven.
rarelibra 3 years ago
No.. It's just that as an academic, I've learned not to believe everything frightened lay persons spout from their mouths. This "lost soul" already knows your argument holds little validity. You need to expand your sources beyond conspiracy theories and into well grounded scientific research if you want anyone to take you seriously.
mistertakeda 3 years ago
I'm afraid ad hominem attacks do not make up for lack of evidence. Your claim is that autism and fluoride exposure have a strong correlation. That's not well established. It's actually a rather fringe theory with a handful of supporters at this point, and no significant research to support it. Don't just use google, search ACADEMIC JOURNALS. Consider the validity of your sources in the future. Thank you.
It's worth nothing I am not interested in racist tirades against the Jews either.
mistertakeda 3 years ago
Look at aspartame - most are told not to even consider the topic. They cannot get funding (surprise surprise) or published in mainstream journals (gee, they are influenced/owned by those who don't want it published). And most are too stupid to do the research. Fringe - you say it isn't 'official' until some 'official' publication or mainstream "guru" says it is. Keep believing the sun revolves around the Earth. Academic - you should be ashamed for cowering behind such excuses.
rarelibra 3 years ago
If you can't FUND the research, then the research has not happened and this is speculation. If you can't hold your own against peer review (which is what it takes to get published in an academic journal), then there is a strong likelihood you can't support your findings.
You use an interesting metaphor. The people who believed the sun revolved around the Earth did so because of their lack of scientific understanding. What your suggesting is nothing short of the rejection of science itself.
mistertakeda 3 years ago

He talks about symptoms he experiences and they remind me of my difficulties to this day...Hopefully he gets of those Meds and finds healthy ways to cope and find his way...
catgumart 3 years ago

It does not matter if there is a reason.
hypnofan35 3 years ago
We have some very sclerotic mental processes going on in organizational mentality and behavior. This is part of fearing and believing in death. In many ways we impose stupidity on one another as an organizational strategy. The problem with this is hierarchy invariably supports a lie that people must believe if they choose to belong or hold status. Another way to say that is you must believe the leaders even if they are threatening your existence and you know they are lying. It's like 911.
hypnofan35 3 years ago

Dr. Breeding, Thank you very much for introducing me to the works of Marshall Ball.

Put a non HD version of the video up for breeding in future. This was like 100 megs.

I can't stand this man who has asbergers. We say he has assholes disease. He is manipulative so much and gossips and most of us can't stand him bec. he stalks women. He definetly has a psychiatric illness but why is he such a jerk! Don't tell me he lacks social skills, please.

are autism & add even real diseases?
Frances3654 3 years ago
their not diseases. isnt a disease considered like an illness that spreads? well autism and ADD are NOT contagious. just like Down's syndrome is not contagious or hereditary at all.

silentmiaow has a series of interviews with one Laura who talked how society should support the deficits and talents of autistic people and anyone who is not neurotypical in general, just as you get support if you have an injury or otherwise are physically incapacitated and in that way a person with a predicament gets somewhere in life.

Great great video.

Yes, It would be a good idea to make a video on "autism and electroshoc". This is so harmfull!
To vaccination I want to say, that I didn't get vaccination right after birth, but showed autistic signs right after birth. So, for my case, this can't be true.
Interesting video.

i personally highly distrust vaccinations.

I personally have seen a five year old patient die from tetanus.
scp365 3 years ago
omg, thats awful. but whats your point, to my reply? that he could've survived if he had a vaccine? if that is your point, then sure, maybe. but then explain why some girls are in the hospital or DIED because of a vaccine they took recently to prevent cervical cancer? a vaccine is like injecting you the Virus. people who get flu vaccines end up feeling worse than before. my neighbor plans to never take one again. and i've never in my life gotten a flu vaccine. and i always recovered, with herbs

Hmmm weird - my previous comment "back in your cage now" was a response to a post by Hypnofan35 that has now disappeared!
PGLoverX 3 years ago

SmileNow2 3 years ago
Blame it on the children... That's crazy!... Great video!.... Blaming it on the children seems like the Adult thing to do... point the finger on something else then yourself.. i once heard that autism come from having the TV for a baby setter....
The "adults" abuse there kids and when they act up or can't control them anymore... well there must be something wrong with the child.... all crazy crazy stuff!!...
Great vid can't wait for the next one.

I think the answer will come with more research in neuro stim cells.
pongman 3 years ago
or maybe lets start accepting people who are "not normal" and the doctors should make better diagnoses and should educate themselves for once?
YourOasis97 3 years ago
Well accepting people who are not normal is fine but preventing them from hurting themselves would be the problem. Therefore neuro stim cell research is important. Unless you feel that someone who is autistic should just live and let live. I guess survival of the fittest comes to play.
pongman 3 years ago
idk much about stem cell research but yes, keeping them from hurting themselves is also valuable. sorry. i was being pessimistic.

Wtf hypnofan doese that have to do with autism??
Lamnont 3 years ago 2
What does perception, conception, and thought have to do with the mind, nervous system and senses? What do injuries have to do with getting injured??????? What does being fragmented have to do with becoming fragmented?
hypnofan35 3 years ago
Hunh? Ummm, okay... back in your cage now. Let's try to stay on topic.

This is why we can have entire nations or civilizations going to war on one another.
hypnofan35 3 years ago 2
The thing is, all except for basic sensory information almost all the news we get is based on sided or hierarchal fabrication, and the only real danger is that of being expelled from a system of lies for acknowledging that there is such a thing a well integrated truthful point of view, and that hierarchal behavior is conceptually unbalanced. Why was Jesus put to death? At that time in history there were very few indivuals who were not victims of the tyranny of that time in history.
