I think what he means by Elusive Emotion is that it is difficult to capture the moment and feeling. Freezing it, It's like this song. Amazing feeling captured in a recording.

In Flames has become deplorable, Bodom is meh, Arch Enemy has lost it, Soilwork lost it a long time ago...

Nightrage and Dark Tranquillity are the only reasons that I still believe in modern melodic death metal.

I completely agree, and my 3 favorite bands are Soilwork, In Flames, and Dark Tranquillity in that order. I just like older everything.

At least new soilwork is shitty metalcore, whereas I'm not sure how much longer i can classify in flames in the metal genre!

I agree with you that In Flames, Bodom and Soilwork arnt that great anymore but my top bands are Arch Enemy, Nightrage, Dark Tranquility, and Insomnium. Arch Enemy never lost anything they had, they have just been getting better.
