Hands down - Darkness with Anna Panquin. 1) it's all about demons taking over your brain and killing when you loose light. 2) it's gross. 3) the thing is still out there! (right up there with the ring)
I'm serious peeps, if you ever want to be afraid of the dark for the rest of your life, watch this movie. I still freak out and I'm 26 years old! I admit it! :P and if you're one of *those* peeps, go watch Chris' troll video.
@Jakathera ha....thanks for the Troll plug! :) And I haven't seen "Darkness" but I'll check it out. Sounds like a freaky movie & everyone once in a while (especially around Halloween), I get in the mood for those. Thanks for the great comments!
the Shinning starring Jack Nickleson. The scene where the was an old man in a rest home and the little kid was talking to him and the old man said something like I don't know "Are You Having Fun" but the old man started to talk to the kid in a scary voice and thats what freaked me out.
Okay, being honest here, I really don't like scary movies at all. I like being able to sleep and night, and sleep well! So I avoid horror movies by every possible avenue. My only exception to this would be super super old horror movies that I can laugh at. The prime example being the original "House on Haunted Hill." that one never fails to crack me up. And the truly sad thing is, those filmmakers really took themselves seriously. And I'm sure it did get some scares for it's time. But now...?lol
@Monker4444 I'm with ya....not into the scary movies all that much. And as far as the ones that are so old & goofy you can laugh at them....well, that's what my intro for this vid was all about. ha. :) Thanks again for commenting Monker!!!!
Rosemary's Baby. Why? It's just so creepy. You're seemingly harmless old couple neighbors are Satanists and convince your husband be possessed by the devil himself and uses you to be the mother of the son of Satan. Then lies to you about the whole thing. WTF?!
Scariest movie was The Ring for me. I saw it in theaters when it first came out when I was in High School. If you don't know the movie is about this tape that when you watch it you die 7 days later. Well at the end of the tape it flashes a bunch of images then goes to static. They ended the movie the same way! Well sure enough...my phone RANG! Right as the movie ended. It was a new Nokia "brick" and only my mom had the number...so it was my mom calling...but still it creeps me out today!
I keep wondering where is that source of your limitless energy and positiveness. Thanks for making me smile again. :] Love this cosy PianoShack, good music and fun movies they show here, hehe.
Regarding the scariest horror I've ever seen... I think that'd be the first Ringu (The Ring, original Japanese one), it was the horror that scared me the most by far.
And if you're interested in something newer and scary, I highly recommend you Triangle (2009).
@Toffmonster Wow, thank you my friend!!!!! Your comment truly made my day! :) I haven't seen the japanese version of the ring but have heard it's mighty scary. And I haven't heard of The Triangle but sounds like another fun one to check out. Thanks again for writing!!!!
@Taylofilmcreations Emmy, I'm with ya! The demon films......sheesh! Freaky stuff. And I haven't seen exorcism of emily rose, but need to! Hope you had a great Halloween! :)
I rarely watch horror movies because, well, I get scared way too easily lol. But I tried watching The Grudge . . . well, I was mostly watching the bottom half of the video for the entire time. I had trouble with nights by myself afterwards LOL
Lets see.... I'd have to say that my first scariest movie was Alien because I first saw it when I was like 11, I think it mostly freaked me out because of the stomach popping scene..... But today the scariest movie I've ever seen is The Exorcist, which the book is supposedly creepier than the movie. As for why, it's the only horror movie I couldn't watch all the way through my first time watching it.
Oh my gosh the Amityvile Horror movie freaked me out too that dang creepy music when they get kids to hum and la la through a tune yikes. The movie Poltergeist use to scare me that clown under the bed and the creepy child eating tree outside *shudder shudder* I did a vid called creepy kid that expresses how I feel about kids in horror movies any Horror movie with kids in them freak me out.
@cheekychickenhead Cheeky!!! I was hoping someone would mention Poltergeist! That's one of my top 5 favorite scary movies. Great choice! Hope you had a happy Halloween! :)
hahaha oh you crack me up. No matter how scary you try to be, you are so adorable and pantspissing funny.
The Ring is the scariest movie I've ever seen..I saw it when it played in the cinema and it still haunts me. I just don't like things moving meters forward in stop motion (or something). The second scariest movie was Twilight - because it just wouldn't end, no matter how fast and far I forwarded. Is that even a sentence.. oh well ! Thank you for making me laugh once more.
@Pluckje ha....well I do try to be "pants pissing funny" on occasion. :) And yeah, Twilight was scary cause it wouldn't end. HA. Love it! Hope you had a happy Halloween fair maiden!
haha Funny video.... I would have to say "the fourth kind" was the scariest movie Ive ever watched, because not only was it about aliens abducting people, but it was also based off of a TRUE story AND it even had REAL footage of people channeling these aliens and levitating off over their beds and speaking in scary ass deep voices! It was just so freakin scary Chris, that it made me pee my PANTS!!!!!!! ..well....ok, maybe I got too dramatic there, but hey, I SERIOUSLY considered it!! O.o
@BrittanysMusicUtube Brittany, I've heard the Fourth Kind was really freaky!!! And I'm with ya. The alien abduction stuff is scary no doubt! Well thanks again for writing & hope you had a happy Halloween! :)
I cackled like an old lady. This was great! Scariest movie I've ever seen is Child's Play. The idea of a sweet innocent doll killing people is plain creepy. Knowing how I felt, my sister would set up my dolls in creepy ways or move them when I wasn't looking just to freak me out. Needless to say, all my dolls found new homes within months of the first Chucky/Child's Play movie coming out.
Geez, I hope their adoptive parents are still alive......o.O
hahahahahaha!!!! white noise was the scariest ever for me!!! the idea of dead or soon to be dead people communicating with you through the static on your tv just creeps me right outta my socks!! hrrrr......
on a sidenote, this one made me laugh out loud a couple of times, so loud, that my housemates came to see if i was ok....!!! thanks for cracking me up once again!!!
I generally stay away from scary movies, so the scariest one I've ever seen would probably have to be Haunting in Connecticut. I think my eyes were covered the entire time. I watched that one much more than I watched The Exorcist... I was listening to show tunes the entire time. Though a couple of my friends told me to look up at one point... knives and blood and udfsoafheawo.
I know it's not a movie, but I love Amnesia The Dark Descent. SO GOOD. Happy Halloween Chris. :)
@lara1bee I'll have to check out Haunting In Connecticut. Still haven't seen that one. Not much of horror film guy myself to be honest. :) Well thanks again for writing & happy Halloween!!!!
haha.. 1:28 was awsome.. i gotta say my fav creepymovie was "the Blair witch project" but my fav horrormovie is and always will be romeros "Night of the livieng Dead".. happy Halloween Chris 0.0
I understand the amityville horror it scared the crap out of me too. the scariest movie hmm,,,,,,,,,,, the exsorsist is up there with children of the corn and children of the damned cause when they make children demonic it messes with your mind and like in the amidyville horror the children chanting is freaky. however the one that messed with my perception the most was stenen king's it it made me hate clowns for life so there you go I guess. btw loved the intro that was great
@houstoncjones "Children of the Corn" man.....now that truly WAS a freaky flick!!!!! I remember seeing that as a kid with my Dad. I'm surprised he let me watch it cause it was some scary stuff. Thanks for commenting & happy Halloween!!!!
Also movies like "White Noise" where they relate to the real world are so scary. White noise scared me so bad I could never watch the white snow on a tv a night.
"Ernest Scared Stupid" scared me so bad as a kid I dont think I got over having monsters in my room until i was 14 years old. The movie it self is not that scary but for an 8 year old in a dark hotel room, it definitely was scary.
@redheadcover "Ernest Scared Stupid" ha......Ya know, I haven't seen that one but I guess it would freak me out too if I was 8 years old in a motel room. :) Next time try "Ernest Saves Christmas." It's much more fun & my personal favorite Ernest movie!
The original Halloween. I was in high school. I did a lot of babysitting. I had to give it up after seeing that movie. My dad was out of town and I was so scared, I wanted to sleep with my mom. She kicked me out of her bed and told me to sleep with the dog. "But he killllllllllllllls the dog!," I told her. Yeah, I didn't get much sleep that night :)
@01fancynancy ha....I don't blame ya for not getting much sleep that night. :) And I'm with ya! The original "Halloween" is one of my top 5 favorite scary movies for sure!
@Missgailie Ya know, I have heard SO many things about "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" & I still haven't seen it. I think I'm gonna try to watch that sometime soon. Happy Halloween! :)
For me definitely The Exorcist.. I haven't even seen the entire movie, and that movie, as well as the Ring, gave me nightmares from the age of 10-14. lol I think creepy children scare me the most..
@ThePianoShack Chris, I finally watched The Exorcist entirely!!! And honestly, I laughed. I laughed during the entire movie. Still pretty creepy though, but I also watched Scary Movie recently too and after seeing that I kept thinking about James Woods lol... so it kinda ruined the Exorcist for me.. but I still won't sit down and watch the Ring again... WAY to creepy hahahaha..
A Haunting in Connecticut freaked me out, couldn't watch the whole thing. XD I'm not a fan of dead peoples body parts. Not to mention the night I watched it, the dvd just randomly froze up.
@angelofmusics123 "A Haunting In Connecticut." hmmmm. I've never seen that. I'll have to check it out when I'm in the mood for something freaky. Happy Halloween!
The original Invasion of the Body Snatchers! The whole... "they look like people you know but they're really freaky alien replacements" thing always got me. Oh, and the fact that the stairs that the main guy runs up at the end of the movie were on a hillside not far from my childhood home. *shudder*
@matthewjordanmusic Matt, would you believe as much of a movie nerd as I am....I have still not seen "Invasion Of The Body Snatchers." That's one I really need to watch cause I know it's a classic. I'll check it out at some point. Hope you had a spook-tacular Halloween buddy!
For a second I thought I had turned on Monster Horror Chiller Theater. It's like you were channeling Count Floyd. Ohhhhhh, scary!!!
The scariest movie ever is, without a doubt, The Exorcist. I had thought I was the only one affected by it, but no one I know wants to ever watch it again. I saw it when I was 13 and I left the light on in my room for the next six months. Previous to seeing the movie I had read the account that it was based on, so that probably didn't help, either.
@kingdomofchrissmith Chris, ha....I was totally channeling Count Floyd! When I was kid SCTV used to be on late at night & I had a laugh fest! Loved that show. And I'm with ya on the Exorcist. I can't stand to watch that one it's so freaky. Happy Halloween buddy!!!
Oh man...any of the Nightmare On Elm Street movies.....I watched them years ago when they came out but today there is no way you can get me to watch any of them. Yes, that's right NO WAY. Just the them poem....One, two Freddies coming after you, Three, four, better lock your door, Five, six, grab your crucifix, Seven, eight, better stay up late, Nine, ten, NEVER sleep again. YIKES.

For me definitely The Exorcist.. I haven't even seen the entire movie, and that movie, as well as the Ring, gave me nightmares from the age of 10-14. lol I think creepy children scare me the most..

@thatsmisskellytoyou Kelly, TOTALLY with ya! The Exorcist & the Ring are frrrrreaky!!!!!

YIKES.
My dreams can be weird enough thank you.
