This sucks. And for those who say "its because you don't get it", what I get is that it looks boring and repetitive. It also can't be good for bringing new people into these types of games. No matter the skill level, anyone in the crowd would be able to tell, and agree on the fact that some dude played dirty or "cheezy". Of course I understand the "play to win and use whatever you can in the game to win" mentality but because of that we have 'matches' like what you see above. You have 40 of the same "pro" fights in a tournament.

@kidfazer Obviously he's either a scrub or he doesn't seriously play fighting games. Playing defensive/lame is an art in and of itself, and requires a lot of skill to do. Sure it's not the most entertaining to watch to the average player, but to players who are serious about the game, these are the kind of matches we LOVE to watch. Seeing two players go at it with their best respective characters, and really playing a high-level chess match, if you will. :)
