I had no meaning to degrade this song in anyway to that of techno. I simply chose to use " techno" in my statement as the song is basically composed of many synthesized instruments, and highly mixed and edited analogue samples. If you hadn't noticed, I also mentioned the genre Jazz; this song not only seems influenced by said genre's poly rhythmic structures, but also pertains many if it's melodic + harmonic ideas. Anyways, I wasn't comparing this to shit like dubstep or dead mau5 :P

Well, I don't think I really elaborated enough; some dubstep is good, but most (in my opinion) is terrible. I find that the average stuff I find on Youtube is almost unanimously derivative of each other, and that they often contain gimmicky noises as replacement for hooks, such as the "wobble" effect. I also find that the often overpowering bass lacks tonality. Maybe I need to listen to it in a club.
