Ahhhh, I suppose you would prefer the coast, ?? Montefrio is not the sort of place you visit if you like your tacky bars and nightlife. It's the true andalucia here and there is no doubt in that. And if you want the locals to fling their arms around your necks when they see a tourist.. tough, that's not going to happen here, but once they take you to their heart here you will never be just one of the crowd!! No offense to you either, but we sure are glad you are not coming back!!!
No actually, I wudnt prefer da coast, nitelife or bars. i was 13 wen i was ther an it scared me!! Yes, th locals were frendly, i never z dey wernt, but ppl in my family got food poisnin from a restaurant an a weird man walked up da street every nyt with dead chickens in his bag to tease da dogs an dey went mad!! This creeped me out. Like, who wud do dat an y!!!! :@
Fair enuff. I can that would put you off. Wonder where you stayed when you were here?? There is a problem with dogs here roaming the streets. Maybe the man had nothing better to do.. likely he is dead now so don't let that put you off a further visit lol.
Wow! This is a very beautiful city. I really want to go to Spain. And once I'm there, I would definitely visit Montefrio... especially that my surname is named after it. Hope my very minimal knowledge of Spanish can help me when I'm there.
@kalabaw99 Is your surname really Monte Ferido? Curious....because myself I held the title (highly disputed) of Count of Monte Ferido; another variant of the village's name. My legal names define quite clear the links with that particular ancestry. Besides, after the fall of Alfonso XIII's monarchy, the particular family branch I belong choosed the exile in Italy. Still, it is very curious how history search itself...despite all distances! Thank to read, Infante Valdecasas
