@nancyroyer4 frst of all the corruption is behind the hallow 2nd of all none can eat each other exept jungle and normal can be eaten by it and jungle eats normal making normal kinda sad how defenceless it is so unless you us holy water or wack away the courrupt grass (there is still underground that can take it back) so his house wll be hallowed

@perkypears Actually. Hallow can take over corruption, and vice versa. Jungle can't be taken over because of mudblocks but it can be like 75% Hallow

Normal isnt defenseless Jungles can't take it and Hallowed can't take it within some number of blocks in between your bed.

@soxamillion yes you can.............. you can't reset the minerals when you're out of altars -> you can't explore your own caves again to find any anymore but you'll have to find new caves which takes time

Toby, to summon the upgraded or hard version of the Eater of Worlds(The Destroyer) you must first gather 6 rotten chunk, 5 copper bars, 5 iron bars and 7 soul of night (they are souls dropped by almost any monster in the underground corruption) Oh and you also need to be near a "Mythril Anvil" to craft this... just get 10 mythril bars and craft a mythril anvil :) hope this helps.

@m0xalis it can be for people newer in hardmode but when you start getting used to the hallow it becomes easier but you do really need to plant hallow seeds or your world just becomes corruption plus the hallow has some of the materials to make some of the equipment and stuff
