I do not understand why on every Mushroomhead video I watch everyone is always talking about the Mushroomhead/Slipknot "rivalry". First of all, this "rivalry" has always been a fan thing. They have never had any problems with eachother. MRH even said they would love to do a show with SK. Mushroomhead was around first but Slipknot had the opprotunity to do Ozzfest for their first tour so they got big first. The only things they have in common is Metal and the masks. Totally different sound style.

Gwar wore costumes and masks in the 80s and I'm pretty damn sure that's not even the first band to do so... there's also Lordi but I have no clue about their first appearance.... However, Mushroomhead formed in 93 using masks to hide identity so they wouldn't be known from their other bands, 3 days after their first concert they were opening for Gwar. Slipknot fromed in 95... no one copied shit, STFU AND SMD

Therefore Mushroomhead cannot be a rip off band and actually have been around for longer than Slipknot.
