In Western culture individuality has been embraced - the freedom to do be whatever you want and dress how you want is much more acceptable. Not entirely but we're not relying on punk rock music to take us there. We're relying on everyone who embraced the spirit. In other words, punk was so successful that the world over embraced it...

@pennywise39 How do you know what they have been offered and turned down already? Maybe THIS IS their own thing? Just because it isn't what you would do doesn't make it any less valid as a direction. Not like the bands that play Warped do it for free, it's still about exposure. Hell I think a summer at Warped would ultimately get you more fans as a band than a small straight to DVD release, so kudos for TAT for not taking Warped on a plate like they could have and being more creative.
