In Nov. 2006, there were 20 officers (MNR and police) sent to raid a dairy farm in Ontario that was selling raw milk to consumers who wished to buy it. On the TV news it looked like most of them were Conservation Enforcement officers (MNR), judging by their uniforms. Yet for over two years we have had illegal hunters in Rouge Park in Toronto, and the MNR claims they can't send anyone to investigate, saying they have only 4 to 6 officers to cover most of southern Ontario. WTF is going on here???
@squeekycat i have a native friend who lives on manitouland island. being native he can take full advantage of his fishing and hunting rights but often chooses to remain tight to our regulations. one time while parked on the side of the road at one of our usual fishing spots, mnr officers were seen slashing his truck tires. THAT'S WTF..
