Translations here are not quite right...nobody caught the part where they met at the bar and "he said, what is your name, beautiful" and she answered,"who cares, what's yours?" LOL

Wow, u guys dont know any of your facts!! WENDY MELVOIN played all the guitar on this track....read the actual albums track credit as well, as the actual Apollonia 6 Vinyl which credits Wendy as the player. If u bother to look up the Purple Rain tour from 1985..,you can hear Wendy sound like Santana as she plays Purple Rains intro..
@dewitt89 why r u sitting so far away?come here, im not going 2 bite, son, arent hot? take that off..see u feel better. what shall we talk about? ah, ur alone...why do whe talk about sad things,Im never alone well, sometimes. Thats ok take my hand..one day the man of my dreams will come. I know how to cook very well. What me marry u? I dont even know your name. Oliver?Give me a kiss on my lips,Oliver...Well, I must go...it was a pleasure meeting u Oliver...farewell
One of my all time faves by P although it's on an A6 album. I used to wear this out when I was in high school. P is killin' it during his guitar solo with one of his best Santana impressions...
To stand on a western shore and see the sun set...one will never forget...the language of the moment was without words, until now. The scene was set with this song. A chill evokes with the spiky guitar riffs if you have ever known this feeling...as the scene plays back in your mind...the music fades. It is real.
Nope, Prince performed all the instruments on this album except for "A Million Miles (I Love You) which does feature Wendy on guitar. But on this track and the rest of the album it's all Prince (source, the biography: DanceMusicSexRomance: Prince: The First Decade). The credits printed on the albums of virtually all of his side projects during this era (Sheila E., The Time, The Family, Jill Jones etc...) were for the most part made up in order to hide Prince's involvement.
@rockhunter07 WENDY plays the guitar on this track not Prince...Im looking at the Apollonia 6 Vinyl that ive had since 1984...even the actual label gives her full credit...your source is WRONG!!! See above comment about the Purple Rain tour and compare Wendy's intro to Purple Rain tour version...its not Princey this time
Ok, Last lesson on princeology......On any Prince album the solo's from a different artist are indicated, such as Little Red Corvette' solo is credited to Dez Dickerson. On Jill Jones first album, the solo on "With you" is credited to Steve Stevens. With this credit it only says guitar, not solo. Wendy was brought in for her chord work, even on her solo efforts here on you tube you cant find one solo. thanks guys.
Prince always throws somthing at you to make you think that and play with the public. Listen to princes work carefully and you will find how versatile he is, I'm not saying that Wendy is'nt great she just didn't do this. Remember Joey Coco and Alexander Nevermind,Jamie Starr? The real prince fans do!
You have 2 remember Carlos Santana is Princes chief influence. Wendy never played that way, not on a solo. That's Prince all day! You can tell by the sharp notes.
@juanhmaldonado Check out the greatest solo ever:she's always in my hair, now on youtube and there are glimpses of this solo there under Prince. It's a little grainy but I'll think you'll like it.
@BLKBAR740 Dude I know exactly who they are its all PRINCE but I have to agree I was looking at my A6 credits and it is Wendy, I know you want it to be Prince but its simply isnt. Prince its Wendy...Prince is my idol but I have to admit Wendy and Lisa kicks ass, and they both gots some mad skills, thats why Prince works with them still he knows it. but in short....I Wendy.
@juanhmaldonado Wendy did not play that solo. Those are Prince phrases on the lead. And I hate to say it, because I don't know what she could do if she set her mind to it, but Wendy did not have the skill on lead to play this.
@twombombadil Wow, bro check your facts! Wendy plays lead guitar on this not Princey...I own this on vynil since 1984....also watch Wendy live playing Purple Rain....long before Prince returns...she blows the house down...SO YOU ARE TERRIBLE WRONG
@BLKBAR740 No Carlos is not, stop making things up. His style has many influences, and he's far more Hendrix in his lead work than any other influence. His early rhythm style is from the guitarist from James Brown's band. You'll also hear Joni Mitchell on the acoustic. Santana is an influence, esp. in the 80's on stage, but I wouldn't go much farther than that.
According to records, the band members are Susan Moonsie and Brenda Bennett, the two were former members of the act entitled Vanity 6 (Nasty Girl was their big hit).
obviously Skipper on guitar - use ur ears, seen?
