Again, I have to question why rescue groups were not contacted in order to save these dogs' lives? The lame excuse that the dogs were not adoptable is rubbish. Initially, Michael Vick's surviving dogs were considered unadoptable, until some compassionate people stepped in and, with kindness and patience, rehabilitated most of these dogs. The majority of them were then adopted into loving homes. A much happier fate than those poor dogs who were heartlessly slaughtered by Robert Fawcett.

These dogs weren't just killed, they were killed in the most horrific, inhumane ways - stabbed, throats sliced, heads blown off while running away. One employee saw a dog that was alive trying to get out of a pile of dogs that had been killed. Some dogs needed several gunshots before they died.

I hope this story gets featured on CNN & the other big news sites. When that happens the views turn into hundreds of thousands. And I want as many people as possible to hear about this. "I booked a tour with the Howling Dog Company during a visit to Banff, I am affraid to say the sight of these poor dogs will remain with me always, they were very thin, extremely poor condition so much so some of the dogs in our team had bald patches all over there coat. They were kept in the back of a truck in tiny boxes to which I think they are kept there the whole day in extreme conditions with no wind break for shelter.........."

I see you read the Worksafe report also. Notice anything odd about the claims he made regarding finding homes for the dogs? He was asked to dispatch the dogs on April 21st, and did so on both April 21st and April 23rd. Did he have knowledge of the request prior to April 21st? If not, that leaves precious little time to make attempts to find them homes. The BIG question is: Why no one at Worksafe felt compelled to let the SPCA know about the violent nature of the "euthanization process"
