There are many labels flying around about people being negative, or being "anti-eBay", or being an "eBay cheerleader". Some wish to draw lines between buyers and sellers. Please don't. eBay Inc. is the one who has unwisely drawn a heavily line between buyers and sellers.
Check this new site out: Geeewhiz. Sellers can leave feedbacks on there for the buyers, and there's also a blacklist you can download. It's awesome!!! Must have for any eBay sellers!!!
Ebid, iOffer, Craigslist, OOdle are all better than Ebay. Moneybookers and Google Checkout are better than Paypal when comes to leveled playing field for both sellers and buyers. Avoid Paypal like a plague if you are seller!!!

The only people that want Ebay boycotted are Ebay's competitors. They are behind this farce.There is no Union amongst Ebay sellers ,therefore,no strike.

I recently had my power seller status revoked for showing a friend of mine over a year ago how to buy and sell on EBay. I had set up a lsiting with him and went to my seller acounour policy has been to leave feedback decision which i believe was motivated by money because i wont get the discounted rate for at least 60 days. I have ddecided that if their that concerned about their bottom line I will bring it down even lower. I will reduce my cost of listing on EBay by 5

I listed 250 things on the penny listings sales, trying to move things out before we move next month.I had 47 sales - not bad, unless you consider that many started AND ended at a penny,50 cts or 99 cts. Then when I saw my eBay BILL for the FVF was $23.50 - I was rather amazed.If I had paid $0.30 or $0.35 cents per item listing fee,I'd have been in the red entirely. Overall, better to choose a cheaper place like Wagglepop, eCrater or Blujay.
Now, the thing is, the only way this will work is if the sellers will actually DO this! Find other places - there are a LOT of great venues out there now that will work almost as well. The thing is, eBay has name recognition.
Personally, I'd like to hit eBay in the pocketbook, just like they have me.... I've already closed my store, but will definitely take part in the boycott.

Ebay is now coddling buyers and leaving sellers - who provide all their profits - out in the cold. I believe this was their plan all along. Paypal will screw you out of your money. I was put on hold for fraudulent activity for a three month period, after which nothing happened. So why was my money held for three months, when I never figured out what the "fraudulent activity" was?

ebay has become a buyers market. Big sellers are only ones that afford the insertion fees, final value fees and then the fee they steal from you for using paypal which is ebay owned.
I've been selling on Ebay now for over 5 yrs and after seeing this and my charges from them plus the fact that in May I can't leave feedback anymore to people that do it to me I just may be leaving them here soon. I checked out that site you talked about ewaey and your right, free site fee's for everyting. Now I can have a store and not get charged as long as I stay with them and advertisee. Sellers all know that without two sided fair feedback they will be exposed and vulnerable to all kinds of abuse from buyers and Ebay. Not saying that all buyers will take advantage of this new system but enough will and ebay will render itself unusable.
What's wrong with ebay? I love it, and see nothing wrong with it. Maybe in instead of saying "make some noise" 500 times in this video and gave me some actual reasons why I should boycott, I might consider, but others-wise i'm going to carry on using ebay.
The reason we are boycotting is due to Ebay forgetting who matters: The Seller. Their will no longer be a fair feedback system in order to protect the community as a whole. They have Increased Fees & Paypal/Ebay can determine if they see fit to hold money for 21 days from a seller.

The seller Joon Kyong said "We ship item!" but the Oscilloscope never arrived and his phone was "No Longer in Service"
We called to file a resolution center complaint, asking if the team could help us bust Mr. Kyong, the seller who ripped us off.
The PayPal/eBay Fraud Investigation Team said they would NOT investigate anything without a written Court Order from an Anaheim Circuit Judge.

I recently had my power seller status revoked for showing a friend of mine over a year ago how to buy and sell on EBay. I had set up a lsiting with him and went to my seller acounour policy has been to leave feedback decision which i believe was motivated by money because i wont get the discounted rate for at least 60 days. I have ddecided that if their that concerned about their bottom line I will bring it down even lower. I will reduce my cost of listing on EBay by 5

Sadly this is ALL THAT EBAY cares about....money. They forgot where it all started, from small sellers. Now they have made it such a billion dollar company that thinks in the aspect of 'billions' We are nothing but dirt on their shoes.

I will be cutting my ebay listings abck to zero as I havd established a good repeat customer base of regular repeat buyers. 93 percent of which have consented and agreed to continue to do bsuiness with me in an off EBay format. I will be offering a service to my customers that will permit them to request items they interested and I will locate and direct ship to them. I listed 250 things on the penny listings sales, trying to move things out before we move next month.I had 47 sales - not bad, unless you consider that many started AND ended at a penny,50 cts or 99 cts. Then when I saw my eBay BILL for the FVF was $23.50 - I was rather amazed.If I had paid $0.30 or $0.35 cents per item listing fee,I'd have been in the red entirely. Overall, better to choose a cheaper place like Wagglepop, eCrater or Blujay.

Now, the thing is, the only way this will work is if the sellers will actually DO this! Find other places - there are a LOT of great venues out there now that will work almost as well. The thing is, eBay has name recognition.
Personally, I'd like to hit eBay in the pocketbook, just like they have me.... I've already closed my store, but will definitely take part in the boycott.

As always, great info, graphics, and content. The day is coming when the NOISE will be overwhelming. They will have to answer the hard questions and find out that they are no longer the only viable venue around and that buyers are not the only consideration to growth in the ecommerce industry.

Ebay is now coddling buyers and leaving sellers - who provide all their profits - out in the cold. I believe this was their plan all along. They didn't start out this way because they didn't have the sellers locked in yet. Now that millions have invested lots of money in businesses that are dependent on them and have nowhere to turn, they are going to stick it to us all they can; this is only the beginning!

Ebay/Paypal needs federal regulation just like a bank does. They should not be permitted to use their mafia-like tactics to swindle money from people. I presently have two buyers who submitted credit card payments that I refuse to accept and bend to paypal's pressure to make me upgrade my account; so ebay is now holding their money hostage for 30 days. One is new to ebay - her first transaction - and rightfully doesn't know what to make of this.

Paypal will screw you out of your money. I was put on hold for fraudulent activity for a three month period, after which nothing happened. So why was my money held for three months, when I never figured out what the "fraudulent activity" was?

ebay has become a buyers market. Big sellers are only ones that afford the insertion fees, final value fees and then the fee they steal from you for using paypal which is ebay owned.

I've been selling on Ebay now for over 5 yrs and after seeing this and my charges from them plus the fact that in May I can't leave feedback anymore to people that do it to me I just may be leaving them here soon. I checked out that site you talked about ewaey and your right, free site fee's for everyting. Now I can have a store and not get charged as long as I stay with them and advertisee. Sellers all know that without two sided fair feedback they will be exposed and vulnerable to all kinds of abuse from buyers and Ebay. Not saying that all buyers will take advantage of this new system but enough will and ebay will render itself unusable.

What's wrong with ebay? I love it, and see nothing wrong with it. Maybe in instead of saying "make some noise" 500 times in this video and gave me some actual reasons why I should boycott, I might consider, but others-wise i'm going to carry on using ebay.

The reason we are boycotting is due to Ebay forgetting who matters: The Seller. Their will no longer be a fair feedback system in order to protect the community as a whole. They have Increased Fees & Paypal/Ebay can determine if they see fit to hold money for 21 days from a seller.

there will be only a handfull of power sellers left after about a month or two after the new feedback changes...try to keep up a DSR rating of 4.5 will be a very difficult task indeed....
21 day hold on paypal payments will be evrywhere, after all the dishonest sellers get ahold of our feedback...Then you will be labeled as a risky seller or a seller that charges to much shipping..It will be right on the bottom of your listing, warning buyers of how bad you are??/ WHAT CRAP!!!
