dude go to google star wars galaxies emu and go to the website. Then u can apply and become a tester. I am one and i can tell u the project most of the main things like classes and the planets are COMPLETELY FINISHED. Right now there are just a few things and testing to do so i wouldnt be surprised if it was complete and maybe 1-2 years

And SWGEmu got alot of suport, so i guess thats how thay pay for it.
While I don't doubt the developers' talent at programming, I am skeptical as to their ability to pay for and manage servers, as well as their ability avoid the obvious legal ramifications of their work. Unless of course, the attorneys hired by LucasArts and SOE are prey to Jedi Mind Tricks. Speaking of which, how can vets complain about too many Jedi in the NGE, when every emu video showcases hordes of glowstick-wielding toons?
There will be a number of professionally ran servers once this is finished. This is completely legal, just like any other MMO emulator out there. You see a lot of Jedi because the emulator is a work in progress. Jedi needs to be tested just like any other profession. Once this is finished and live, Jedi will be just as difficult to obtain as it was pre CU.
The devs are working on adding all the NPCs. They can manually spawn some now, but it could be some time before all of the NPCs are in their proper locations.

I remember first hearing about this game in a magazine, Star wars online. It was the best Idea ever to me and my friends. Then I played Beta and discovered that it wasnt the dream game I hoped for but I kept playing because it was fun. I say get this game back up to what it was. Though Star wars for me just cant ever be point and click gameplay.

This is the emulator. They can basically spawn anything, anywhere at any time. Hence, a Krayt on Corellia. Also, yes, they did have space pre-NGE. JtL came out nearly a year before the CU.
Btw guys, i had a question.i rly dont know how this "making emu" thing works, but if u are able to change everything cant u make the game more realistic aswel? like more npc's in cantina/city etc. or creatures walking around in eisly, like in the movies?? just asked couse it would be cool..
The same video could probably be accomplished on the live game with a couple mods and your dramatic music over it :D, except on live theres also space, npc spawns, pvp grounds, a gcw system, expansions,bounty hunting, high capacity servers, harvesting, crafting, working vehicles (not like the one in the video that the guy magically loaded in on), a smuggling system, mounts, quests, vendors, and more. Although like I said in another post, to each his own :)
Not even close. NGE is a far cry from pre CU. I'd have more fun with just the pre CU combat than with the NGE and all the stuff you listed(which will all eventually be in the emulator).

See if Smed and the rest of the SWG Devs had been smarter they might have been able to hold on to their users if they had been smarter it wouldnt have had to come to this for us to get our SWG Fix. This is the emulator. They can basically spawn anything, anywhere at any time. Hence, a Krayt on Corellia. Also, yes, they did have space pre-NGE. JtL came out nearly a year before the CU.

The same video could probably be accomplished on the live game with a couple mods and your dramatic music over it :D, except on live theres also space, npc spawns, pvp grounds, a gcw system, expansions,bounty hunting, high capacity servers, harvesting, crafting, working vehicles (not like the one in the video that the guy magically loaded in on), a smuggling system, mounts, quests, vendors, and more. Although like I said in another post, to each his own :)

Not even close. NGE is a far cry from pre CU. I'd have more fun with just the pre CU combat than with the NGE and all the stuff you listed(which will all eventually be in the emulator).

There isn't such a mod. It's not possible. Changing the UI and button icons to pre CU ones will not make the NGE look like pre CU. If you think otherwise, you're an idiot.

Do you always make sure to include some kind of an insult in your post? You can do some amazing stuff with mods, including changing animations to pre CU style. I didn't say it would change the combat system, I just said it would be possible to achieve a similar look to those in the videos :)
