I'm looking for a light for my SPR. I need it to be able to hold up to the 223 recoil, Life time warranty, water proof, and throw out to about 600-800mtrs. I don't want to spend a billion on a light but I understand for good gear you have to spend some bucks. My budget is about $250-$300.Any thoughts on what would work for me? It's like I always say. Let's all learn from each other.Joe Tactical Great video. Could this light work for my needs?
I'm ready to buy a BIG BOY flashlight, but I'm kinda torn between this tm11, fenix tk 70, olight sr90. I like the compact design of this, but I like the ability of the tk70 to use regular batteries. And I like the way you can charge the sr90 as is. How much light distance will I be sacrificing if I went with the tm11 since it's price point seem to be the most appealing to me?
@psxnitr0 The TK70 can't really use regular batteries. The performance on alkalines is pathetic and high performance NiMh D cells are not exactly easy to find outside of online sources. You will be sacrificing quite a bit of distance with the TM11 compared to the other two, but it is a tenth the size of the other two.
Is it ok if to switch from EAGLETAC BATTERY 18650 3100 MAH to aw 18650 2900 MAH? I'm not mixing them together.. My tm11 just arrived that I ordered from you guys.
@6SLICK6MANE6 1.25 hours on high. We have the ANSI specs in an image on the site if you want to see the rest of the specs. Look in "More Views" under the main image.
Considering this light after using a Fenix TK41 for a while, and really hating how narrow the beam is, at the expense of flood. I wanted to get something with nice spill. Your comment that the TM11 mean beam/spill is not as nice as the Jetbeam makes me worry that I'd not like this light so much either.
Your reviews are great, and I thank you for that, but its still tough to see how the torches are doing on a video. Any thoughts or suggestions?
@stokerof84 The TM11 still has great flood, it's just that the transition on the RRT-3 XM-L from hotspot to flood is more gradual. I personally like the TM11 a lot more, mostly due to the size.
Did you by any chance replace the half charged batteries you had in the TM at the begening of the video with fully charged ones when you were doing the outside night time filming?
@QwertyQwaf Nope, and probably never will be. We are a Surefire dealer and Solarforce is known for exactly copying their designs and I'd rather not make Surefire angry.
I enjoy your vidoes but it's hard to really gage any prespective or distance in your back yard video shots. I know you always mention the distance but never realized just how far I was looking at in your videos until one time I saw your dog under the backyard tree you always use. It helps to have a fimilar size object in your shots.....a dog, a moutain bike,a person...you get the idea. Just my suggestion!
What have you been recieving for feedback on these lights? From the posts I've seen on CPF, it sounds as though the first batch was having build quality issues- what has been your experience with this product so far?
@colinsdad1 Oh, and it wasn't build quality, from what I understand. It was an issue with the circuit that caused some funkiness when run on high for several minutes at a time.
with the best set of batteries how long will this light last on full usage? like if you had it going on high beam all night? thank you I just bought another light off of you last night but I am still thinking on getting this one but I want to know how long will this last me, each night?
@hanalei412002 It can't run on high until the batteries die. No small lights are made to run on high that long. If you turn it off and let it cool down, you will get about an hour total of runtime.
Wow this light looks fantastic exactly what I'm looking for. Just might be premature to think about buying one. On CPF a few folks have reported erratic operation, LED's shuting down comming back on. Sure hope they can get a handle on it.
@goingprepared Their are actually 2 threads going on right now at CPF but one that has now been Polled is the most interesting. As far as 8 min I can't say but if the light is flickering and cutting completly off then there is a problem, but they do say the time from turn on to erratic behavior is unpredictable, one guy even made a video. Several other forum members just report flickering or 1 led completely turning off. Some members report the replacement sent to them are also defective.
i hear a lot of Nitecore lights are malfunctioning from candle power forums. how often do people send in the nitecore lights for exchanges or refunds?
Oh also.... does this light have overheating/thermal regulation protection? For such a small light putting out 2000 lumens that seems pretty important.
Hello! Please tell me - what the 18650 batteries will be very best for it flashlight AW, jetbeam, panasonic, or something else? I need the 18650 with very very height discharge rate.
@goingprepared Hello, because i will to use this flashlight in the turbo mode long time. For example, in the Nitecore IFE1 , the AW battery can turn off, when it is not fool discharged (in the height mode). But, if the IFE1 will be working in the not maximum mode, the battery can work and work ... I hope, You understand me.
@aleksekokorev The light is not made to run in turbo for a long time. It is tiny for a 2000 lumen light. You limitation will be overheating in the light, not the batteries. The best batteries I have seen, however, are AW and Redilast.
I love the concept and I'm looking for a light with four 18650's in parallel and 2000+ lumens but with more throw. Is there anything else on the horizon?
wow its like a freaking robot from starwars. an r2d2 or some shit. wow. its cool but i cant imagine carrying something like that. maybe sticking it in the car or golfcart for searches. im blind. wow thats bright as hell. the shapes just weird.

LOL Does the TM really stand for "Tiny Monster"? That's hilarious.... somehow kind of goofy for such a high tech light though.
How well done is the grip of the light? It's kind of short so I would assume having superb knurling is VERY important.
