Hahaha, Star Destroyers are a joke in this game. During the mission where you lose if they show up to reinforce the imperials, I honestly thought that the level would continue, because three of them is no trouble.

lol i used to use the jedi starfighter for this level too, the idea of using a star destroyer 'predecessor' to destroy actual star destroyers always seemed interesting. lol

do you have to wait for the Shields to be taken down by Ackbar's ship before you engage it, destroying it's sensor globes to hamper it's long range targeting capabilities?

or do they use that old "Globes are Shield Generators" nonsense

also not a fan of how they refer to what are obviously based on Seismic Charges "Sonic Mines" much less that they go through shields for no reason.

next to battlefront this is the best starwars game. it sticks to the origanal movies perfectly and is fun and is difficult to get sick of. and all the passcodes and unlockables are just awsome

In some ways, Rogue Leader is a lot better than this game, so I think that Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike both deserve to be my favorite games of all-time. Well, for flight games at least. =D

I prefer Slave 1 over the Jedi Starfighter. It can be pretty fast and it gets the job done real quickly with 20 Sonic Mines instead of six. I got an ace medal on this mission on my second try with Slave 1.

No it's that dude from the film who also goes sui, but I can't remember his name. In 6, it's the same guy that blows up the executor like this.

you can also disable the star destroyers by using a sonic mine on the bridge. the blast goes through the shield and destroys the bridge. That kills the destroyer(and the ion cannons) much faster.

You can do the first part as fast as you want, it's timed, so theoretically you can't do it faster than anybody.

But there's a trick: watch the whole opening cutscene. Timing first starts, when it ends. If you skip it, you exactly loose these 10-15 seconds.

No, maybe in some years you can play this game on PC with a ROM and an emulator, but a legal copy for the game is only avaiable for GameCube.

Wow, that's kinda of gay - a "single pilot" fighter took out the big turrets of several capital ships and nothing could stop it. As far as i know each destroyer carries several "Tie" squadrons, plus they should have turrets for homing missiles. Capital ships never enter a battle without appropriate support against light crafts. This is a very poor level design.
