im just now gettin back into rc with my kids.. i had an rc-10 back in the day and was wonderin bout the new tech? i mean what voltage you run for most comp and what the newest/best models are.. i'm used to indoor racing but would love to set up a 4wd.. don't know if my kids are ready for 4 wheel independent control yet though..

I've got an axial ax10 that's pretty much all custom minus the axle housings and bearings, i gotta tell you..... i'm not impressed with this rig....... i like the body but i don't think you got any bang out of your buck. epic fail. just my opinion, wasn't in a mood tonight to keep it to myself.

@sweeper096 The controller is most likely a "twin stick" type. Each stick control 1 axle, both power, and steering. This set up is used frequently in "super" class competitions. This give you independant control of each axle.

The front rims are not weighted at all, that wasone of the first time's that truck has been on the ground. There is still a lot of tuning and changes to be made before it's fully comp ready.

The plowboys are a much better tire than the Moab 4.0, they are 6.5inches tall and a softer compound. I have yet to find any terrain where I would run moabs over plowboys

Nope same motors front and back. It is controled with a spektrum DX6i radio. Front and rear motors are independently controlled from each other.

The axles are about $200, two servo's at $150 each, two ESC's at $100 each. 4 cell battery is about $60, shocks are about $75.

With everything you need to run this beast you're closer to $1400 to get to this level. There are others you can get cheaper and then work up to something like this.
