the civic is a 2.0 i4 where the 350z is 3.5 v6 the power to weight ratio is .16 for civic and .19 for the z now why don't you ricers do the math and tell me which car is faster your ugly civic or the sexy z
Then I put a K&N filter in and drilled some holes in the air box and its got more horsepower and redlines at 50 mph in second. My dads 05 Corolla with the same basic mods redlines in second at 60 mph and at 50 mpr his car PULLS for like 1000 RPM's till he redlines. Off the line my car would get my dads but his has higher gears for better mileage and more top end. I'm not dissing either car here either. I just wanna see a real drag. Not a freeway rolling start.
In my opinion a race from a stop is alot more telling how fast a car is and how fast a driver is. I have a 95 Celica and my friend had a Civic Del Sol and I would mash him off the line cause I have slightly lower gears and more torque even though he had more horsepower but on the freeway he would win. And also at 40 mph some some cars you just don't know WHAT gear to put it in. My car when it was stock would redline at 40 mph in second gear.
to bad the civic is at its redline, Z still had room too push its motor some more. Its all in how you drive. Z has short throw gear changes for faster aceleration, but at top speed, it levels out sooner i feel.
haha why all the Honda-hating? Yes a 350z looks better but the engineering behind the N/a Civic Type-R is immense. If you slate them so much you really need to have a drive in one. They're a lot better than you think! VTEC engines are bullet-proof and sound awesome.
Why don't you pick up your family in that ugly as civic & get some groceries while I pick up a hot girl in a 350Z. I'm pretty sure a 350Z will drop panties a lot faster than a civic. LOL

The CTR is not a drag racer either. One of it's main strengths is in it's handling. I fear the CTR would leave the 350Z on the corners as well as the straight lines.
