I thought his persepctives were interesting...I like when people post their interpretations of music...especially Nick Drake who I believe to be a genious...amazing profound music...which may in fact have a myriad of interpretations..which I believe was his very intent..."fruit tree" was one such song..the metaphors he used were pretty amazing for such a young person..

ha ive always thought fruit tree had quite poo lyrics.. "fame it but a fruit tree which cannot flourish till its roots are in the ground" lame, thats the exception though

@djboony You obviously misunderstood the lyrics. It said "Fame is but a fruit tree, so very unsound, it can never flourish, till its stalk is in the ground". That's to say, fame only flourishes once the person who is to be famed dies or some such.
