Trestles barely does what it does. It needs to peel instead of dumping then mushing to the next 40 feet. It should be a longboard spot until those extreme rare days that it breaks just right. If it gets too big it goes back to mush again. In Peru you constantly are getting launched with no waiting on the wave shape. If a longboard can do it then I'm not going out, which means that 90% of the time I don't go SoCal. The 6 year olds at the newage skateparks get more action

Insult? Learn how to read. Thanks to u it's going to be more overcrowded than before. Sure your standing up for Trestles, Mr. Salesman. About 6 months ago there was a Trestles session that was just like in the magazines but Peru was like that once a week. U like to pretend it's that way all the time to keep the hype/sales up. Although u probably sell wetsuits, Trestles is not yours to sell kook. Surfing SoCal has regressed, skating has progressed. 95% of surfers are airheads who only think fun

Fletcher was doing airs back when the left was much better shape so he could then do two not just one on close out. Close out's shouldn't could but because it's so crowded and rare, no one gives a rats butt

It is hard to pick just one prettiest place....BUT I was fortunate enough to see the Nasrid Palace in the Al Hambra AT NIGHT. They are SPECTACULAR at night and since the rest of the Al Hambra is closed, there are no large crowds to deal with....

Actually, after watching the highlights right now I'd have to agree with Taj-fan victims. The judging was flawed, Taj got hugly overscored on that first wave.

Listen to all the victimzed Taj fans. Sour grapes. Kelly won, it's over get on with your lives. Taj rips, one of my favs, but he lacks power, spontinuity and nearly 9 titles. So until Taj starts to surf better than Kelly he will continue to lose to him. He knows this and now so should you. Great final though, and Taj should be happy he was the only guy giving Kelly a go (I sure would).

i think if you take the waves at face value taj wins BUT if you study the maneuvers, kellys surfing was more on the edge and he also mixed his turns up, and he put his foot down after he got his two 8 point rides. dont get me wrong taj ripped but looked like he was surfing within himself. he did alot of similar turns in a row. great final. but like machardo said if kelly caught his waves at the begining it might of been a different result. roll on france.

i forgot to say slater is the only surfer who re-invents his surfing every year, e.g mick still quick, parko still smooth, taj still busy. kelly makes small changes and it keeps him looking fresh....and he's the wrong side of 35!

now thinking of it, it could be that all kelly's waves were replayed with that stupid closeup into the face angle which looks crap and all Taj's waves looked great from the wide
