  • This looks like footage taken from the John Wayne movie: Flying Leathernecks. Near the very end you can see derelict F6F Hellcats painted up in Japanese markings laying around in pieces near the airstrip.

  • this is footage from a show called black sheep early80s think ? pappy boington was the real life comander

  • nice video!!! awesome.. i loved it

  • vis per mare!

  • That one shot looked like they were bombing Southern California

  • Just how many times are they gonna roast that hillside? I'd say anyone there is well done by now!

  • Awesome footage. My great uncle was on the USS Bunker Hill and survived a kamikaze attack. Scary stuff.

  • blue devil i like that

  • One of my uncles flew Corsairs in WW2, Korea, & later died in '53 in a Panther crash off of Hawaii. I'm making a family video for his two younger surviving USMC Korean vet brothers (both well into their 80's), and will be borrowing some of this great footage, if you don't mind?

    Absolutely great!

  • @laaxe The original sourse is "Flying Leathernecks" I suggest you get a DVD and use that, rather than use footage from YouTube.

  • @laaxe
