I dont Know about the Stark Jegan Pilot .... but whatever he did was pretty Bad Ass standing up against a Cyber New type ....
The Stark Jegan pilot used the most effective method against any bit/funnel/dragoon/fang user: to rush in directly for a melee confrontation. The bit user will not be able to fire the bits without risking hitting himself.
I believe the Byalant Custom pilot from episode 4 has joined the Stark Jegan pilot's club of nameless, faceless, badasses. He admittedly wasn't fighting anything as powerful as the Kshatriya, but was still awesome to watch.

He is a former Titans Pilot turned Mechanic, and took over the Byarlant because he is the only one who knew how to fly a Byarlant.

The Stark Jegan Pilot was one of the best grunt pilots in the UC era. UC era grunt pilots can put up a decent fight against both heroes and villians alike, which makes them badass in their own right. These nameless grunts, are just badass normal, but they have the guts to fight newtypes and villians alike, which ultimately makes them the unsung heroes of the UC era.
that's an after thought. Newtypes have often see ghosts of people who arent newtypes, see Victory gundam for reference. If that man was a newtype, it wouldn't have mattered. Because as tobia from crossbone had said many times. Newtypes are as human as each and every one of us, they aren't evolved, they just happen to realize something others don't.
Grunts in the other series explode by the dozens when the enemy fires or the hero lauches their special attack. Grunts in the UC series, are those that can give either the hero or the villans a run for their money, even to the extent of testing their abilities. This soundtrack is a testament to that badassery. Just look at the Stark Jegan Pilot, able to survive for some time before being ultimately defeated by the Kshatriya without any help. You have to give that pilot credit.

Obviously, UC is the greatest timeline of all. Unlike all other timelines (After Colony, Cosmic Era and Anno Domini mostly), unnamed mooks don't just die from stray fire allthe time, or even from attacks that don't even hit, unless it's justified. Wing Gundam could kill an army of mooks by missing, Unicorn is UC's justified equivalent, being able to kill 1-2 Geara Zulus in one missed shot, because the shots are so radioactive, it overloads the reactor which then blows up. We need more UC...
@gundamplus If you have the Blu-ray Disc of ep 3, you have this song twice: it's also the background music for the disc's main menu (whose graphics are patterned after the Kshatriya's HUD).
This short battle between that small detachment of federation mobile suits and the Marida's Kshatriya was awe inspiring... - pretty sure those Federation Pilots didn't guess they'd b up against an enemy Mobile Suit like that. Even that Special Forces Stark Jegen didn't stand much of a chance tho he put up one hell of a fight... its the little intricacies of battle that really get you, especially not knowing your enemy's full battle capabilities or experience...

It's because the pilot is full of COURAGE that you'll never comprehend. Think Domon Kasshu is a hardass? Think again. This pilot is so awesome, his name isn't uttered ever in order to keep people's heads from exploding. The only reason he lost to the Kshatrya is that that bitch was piloting it and she cheated, like most girls do. But watch out, the REAL secret of the Laplace's Box is the Stark Jegan pilot, back from the dead and ready to kick ass.
I disagree... it was not as if Marida was really having problems defeating the guy like she had with the Unicorn... also, it could be he is still alive, since the cockpit looked to be intact (he was still shouting at her) and the suit didn't explode... but maybe we will never know... ;-)
@Blizz3112 Marida sure had her hands full with the Stark Jegan(to the point that he almost had her). I'm fairly sure he's dead though, Marida's beam sabre destroys his computer screens in front of him and in the next frame Marida slices the Jegan in half. Therefore I belief the pilot was sliced in half aswell(which is why he could still yell "damned sleeves!" before dying).
He was without a doubt the best faceless pilot ever.
@Blizz3112 The pilot is dead, there's no mistaking that. Newtypes can hear someone's thoughts after death, Banagher experiences this in episode three but I'm gunna not talk about that (potential spoiler)
@blacksolar212 Well, he's developing into one. You can see this happening as far back as the beginning of episode 1 where his eyes inhumanly zoom in on the passing Unicorn Gundam.
@WingChroniam Actually Re-watching that fight i do believe the Jegan was repelled by the the Thrusters from Marida's Quad Wings on Kshatriya....At least that is what it looked and sounded like to me.
And he was probably mimicking a technique Amuro used against Char's Zeong in the original Mobile Suit Gundam. That is, it is more suicidal to fight funnels/bits from afar than it is to fight them right next the enemy MS of origin. Char did the same in Zeta Gundam against Haman's Quelbey, albeit less successfully.
@WingChroniam I think the pilot made the all the right choices in that fight, the only problem was his machine just wasn't strong enough. If he had been in a Gundam he would've been able to power through all that thrust and take Marida out.
You're quite right, especially since if you watch carefully you can see he gets hit by beams from the funnels even when he charges in; it's actually amazing that he got so close.
On the other hand, I think the pilot may just have been temporarily blinded by, or had an involuntary reaction to, the flash from the Kshatriya's thrusters. It seems more like he's recoiling defensively, out of surprise, than that he's being repelled.
On what basis? I think it looks ambiguous enough that it could have been surprise or reflex, and honestly, if I were in a perilous situation like that Jegan pilot and suddenly had a big flash of blue light in my face, it'd make me jump.
@124HVY I agree with 124HVY Judging from the thrust required to propel an object with as much mass as the Kshatriya through space at the speed greater than or equal to of the much smaller stark Jegan, there is no doubt in my mind that redirecting every thrust nozzle toward an enemy MS would at least slow it down

@zzblingking Upon more careful examination of the video, it does appear the Stark Jegan was slowed or even stopped by the Kshatriya's thruster blast; though it does appear at the same moment as though the pilot reacted defensively, out of surprise, and raised the suit's arms to shield against attack -- hence my confusion.
@xfreedomvv he was mre than likely out of ammo... which is prob for the best, long range battle against a suit like that prob wasn't a good idea... the Kshatriya however is pretty bulky and doesn't move as well or as fast as a Jegen, especially a Special Forces Mod.

@tokarev748 Yeah they didnt use it at all for 2nd Episode. I was actually suprised that they didny make another set of OSTs, but I kind of understand it would be too many OSTs to choose from. I am certain though that they will have new OSTs for the 3rd episodes, I think its more like new OSTs per 2 episodes.
@WingChroniam Funny you should mention that, because there are a few tracks in the first 2 episodes that are not in this soundtrack. I do hope they release a second OST volume soon.

man theres nothing wrong with loving the mass production mobile suits a lot. i happen to love their model kits alot, i bought the 144 HGUC stark jegan before the unicorn, ty bandai for finally putting in a rifle that stay in the hand properly :D woots
stark jegans are awesome... theres a peg in the gun that fits into its palm, its fucking win (considering that i just bought like, a 144 O gundam and its gun was failing around and i had to use tape for it). u should really get it man its only like 20 bucks if u get it from a local hobby store that isnt in japan. i highly suggest this kit. oh and dont get the victory gundam kit, it makes me want to claw my eye sockets out

Anyway, epic track, haven't seen any UC series before (definitely watching 0079 and Zeta before this) but you just know that something with music this great is going to be nothing less than amazing.

I guess one of the reasons that the Stark Pilot survived for so long was that, if i am not mistaken, the war had been over for years, so only people who were skilled would be allowed in mobile suits. I mean, even the guys in the other two Jegans may not have been bad, but to survive against 24 weapons coming at you from different directions and moving a blitz speed would be nigh on impossible.
BTW, should mention, the Kshatriya would rape Strike Freedom any day of the week.

@xfreedomvv Thats true. Even if he did not went for the kill like he did, those Funnels would have caught on to him and he knew he would die. So he had to take a chance, besides who could've predicted that his Binders could blast an enormous force to repel his beam attack.

This pilot is so awesome, his name isn't uttered ever in order to keep people's heads from exploding. The only reason he lost to the Kshatrya is that that bitch was piloting it and she cheated, like most girls do. But watch out, the REAL secret of the Laplace's Box is the Stark Jegan pilot, back from the dead and ready to kick ass.

I disagree... it was not as if Marida was really having problems defeating the guy like she had with the Unicorn... also, it could be he is still alive, since the cockpit looked to be intact (he was still shouting at her) and the suit didn't explode... but maybe we will never know... ;-)

@Blizz3112 Marida sure had her hands full with the Stark Jegan(to the point that he almost had her). I'm fairly sure he's dead though, Marida's beam sabre destroys his computer screens in front of him and in the next frame Marida slices the Jegan in half. Therefore I belief the pilot was sliced in half aswell(which is why he could still yell "damned sleeves!" before dying).
He was without a doubt the best faceless pilot ever.

@Blizz3112 The pilot is dead, there's no mistaking that. Newtypes can hear someone's thoughts after death, Banagher experiences this in episode three but I'm gunna not talk about that (potential spoiler)

@WingChroniam Actually Re-watching that fight i do believe the Jegan was repelled by the the Thrusters from Marida's Quad Wings on Kshatriya....At least that is what it looked and sounded like to me.

And he was probably mimicking a technique Amuro used against Char's Zeong in the original Mobile Suit Gundam. That is, it is more suicidal to fight funnels/bits from afar than it is to fight them right next the enemy MS of origin. Char did the same in Zeta Gundam against Haman's Quelbey, albeit less successfully.

@WingChroniam I think the pilot made the all the right choices in that fight, the only problem was his machine just wasn't strong enough. If he had been in a Gundam he would've been able to power through all that thrust and take Marida out.

You're quite right, especially since if you watch carefully you can see he gets hit by beams from the funnels even when he charges in; it's actually amazing that he got so close.
On the other hand, I think the pilot may just have been temporarily blinded by, or had an involuntary reaction to, the flash from the Kshatriya's thrusters. It seems more like he's recoiling defensively, out of surprise, than that he's being repelled.

On what basis? I think it looks ambiguous enough that it could have been surprise or reflex, and honestly, if I were in a perilous situation like that Jegan pilot and suddenly had a big flash of blue light in my face, it'd make me jump.

@124HVY I agree with 124HVY Judging from the thrust required to propel an object with as much mass as the Kshatriya through space at the speed greater than or equal to of the much smaller stark Jegan, there is no doubt in my mind that redirecting every thrust nozzle toward an enemy MS would at least slow it down

@zzblingking Upon more careful examination of the video, it does appear the Stark Jegan was slowed or even stopped by the Kshatriya's thruster blast; though it does appear at the same moment as though the pilot reacted defensively, out of surprise, and raised the suit's arms to shield against attack -- hence my confusion.

@xfreedomvv he was mre than likely out of ammo... which is prob for the best, long range battle against a suit like that prob wasn't a good idea... the Kshatriya however is pretty bulky and doesn't move as well or as fast as a Jegen, especially a Special Forces Mod.

In GUNDAM SEED Destiny, E.A.F pilots are like zombies, easily destroyed by Shinn Asuka, how come?! In Unicorn SIMPLE PILOTS Are as Bad-ass as the protagonist, like that loto pilot who shoots down Kshatriya with a rocket launcher. And that Zeon Pilot Who Destroys a Rezel, That was Awesome! Gundam Unicorn and all UC gundams are the best of the best!

@tokarev748 Yeah they didnt use it at all for 2nd Episode. I was actually suprised that they didny make another set of OSTs, but I kind of understand it would be too many OSTs to choose from. I am certain though that they will have new OSTs for the 3rd episodes, I think its more like new OSTs per 2 episodes.

stark jegans are awesome... theres a peg in the gun that fits into its palm, its fucking win (considering that i just bought like, a 144 O gundam and its gun was failing around and i had to use tape for it). u should really get it man its only like 20 bucks if u get it from a local hobby store that isnt in japan. i highly suggest this kit. oh and dont get the victory gundam kit, it makes me want to claw my eye sockets out

I guess one of the reasons that the Stark Pilot survived for so long was that, if i am not mistaken, the war had been over for years, so only people who were skilled would be allowed in mobile suits. I mean, even the guys in the other two Jegans may not have been bad, but to survive against 24 weapons coming at you from different directions and moving a blitz speed would be nigh on impossible.
BTW, should mention, the Kshatriya would rape Strike Freedom any day of the week.
