  • very nice :)

how do you have made the stab-sound? since some days i own a blofeld too...

  • Dear Santa...

  • Please share the sysex with me!!! Awesome.

  • is des nur der blofeld ?

  • This is superb!

  • Hi, im am strongly conicdering a blofeld since i can get it at 200, but my only concern is it programabillity.... Can u only edit presets or can u idit the preset and programm a sound from scratch? ( adding oscs, runnin it through a filter, assinging filter enveleopes etc) The auction is running out soon, so please, if anyone could enlighten me, please do :)

  • yet again... another nice track mate...

  • I find the blofeld to be a bit of a pain in the ass to program

  • @Raikonex

Same. Even with VST editor -which makes editing faster but then it's just mouse clicking and there is no much difference compared to full software synths. Except that Blofeld has its limitations where user can use what ever soft one wants.. .

So after all, editing Blofeld seems to be nicer through its own front table. Still, as i am used to comfortability of their Q and XT synths i kinda regret buying Blofeld. I even bought Sample SL license for it but iam not using whole thing.

  • @drtritri Hmmm...I might actually give that editor a try. It would be easier than going through all the menus. Another thing I was experimenting with was creating a custom template for my Novation ReMOTE SL 37 and just controlling my Blofeld with the various knobs and sliders using the CC values from the list Waldorf gives you in the manual.

  • @Raikonex

That VST editor i mentioned was from SoftknobsDotCom.

Dedicated hardware controller like PG-300 for alphajunos would be best option but as that option does not exist, i guess that some general knob box would do the trick as well.

Especially if one prints parameters to cartoon and makes suitable layout for it. It's crucial to see immediately which knob does what to get "hands on control" work smoothly.. . .

  • good job! nice echodubsynth melody:)

  • Hell yes!! His is very nice. Love the chord stab!

  • Nice stuff. I'm not much of a programmer, more a preset tweaker atm. What would you suggest to start making your own patches? A basic understanding of synthesis is obviously a good start of course, but i'd be interested how you go about designing your own sounds. Peace. Marc

  • @Vacher12 Something good, simple that sounds good like a Nord Lead 2 rack/keyboard or Juno 106/60...That's the first two synths that pop into mind. These sound great, are reasonably priced and simple to understand. They should make understanding synths a breeze. You have to know a synth's sound character to get the best out of it imo ..I just dream up a sound when I sleep and try make it if I remember when I'm awake as odd as that sounds or just mess about for hours

  • @vinyljunkie07 I have a Juno 6/dx100 and have considered buying a blofeld. I know that wavetable synthesis is a different realm compared to analog, so might just get the best out of the synths I own at the moment. I particularly like your 'Blofeld sounds pt3' - I really like the textures and atmospherics you have created. Its def on the list of things to buy, but am slightly put off by my limited knowledge of this synthesis

  • @Vacher12 The buggy OS makes it a bit of a a*hole and being Waldorf everything is done in reverse ways hahah

DX-100 is my favourite synth, I had 3 over the years and want another one..this time permanent. I'm selling a Doepfer Dark Energy...I'll let it go for 200 if you trade me your DX lol I can demo you the Dark Energy with a big Doepfer modular system I have here at the moment and show you the basics..you are in Kent right?

  • @vinyljunkie07 Yes I see that you have this for sale. I've just bought the DX100 so gonna hold on to it for now, got it for 50 quid from a mate who just used it as a controller. It's perfect for me as it's really opened up my mind to FM synths. I was thinking about the DX7, but the 100 fits perfectly into my small space. Still, I do like your Doepfer! I would be interested but am saving for a matrix 6 atm. I'm based in Ramsgate, on the Kent coast. where are you?

  • @vinyljunkie07. Why do you sell Dark Energy? Its not good? Which is better, Dark Energy, Blofeld, Mopho or Tetra?

  • @pixusbubblejet

I'd say that they are all so different animals that comparing them does not give justice for any of them.

Still, i'd buy Tetra over Mopho because of polyphony and any DSI over Dark NRG because of patch memory and Dark Energy before anyone else of those cause it has best user interface and hands on control. And OK, have to mention its fully analog sound as well.

But Blofeld has simply more soniq power compared to rest of the gang.. . . So buy Waldorf Q or Evolver.

  • I want to buy your shit man. This is HOT. You need to be making money off this!

  • this is really nice!

  • sick!

  • this is wicked... im runnin blofeld and MPC like you... killer combo :)

  • How can i get my hands on a WAV of this track then, it's really nice ? :-)

  • Nice Sound!!! Good Work!Keep it up

  • Great sound :)

Would be nice to explain how you made it though

  • Do I spy an Alpha Juno? How does the Alpha Juno sound?

  • @Biopharmer Great, I use it on most things

  • noice!!

  • Yes sir! Bobbing my head!

  • NICE!!! I JUST GOT A WALDORF MICRO Q AND PROB GONNA BUY A BLOFELD TOO!! u got the best videos on youtube !@

    peace

  • Which synth pioneered this sound? They were already using it in the 90s, if not even earlier ...

  • @stoffenl Haven't got a clue but you can make these kind sounds on a PPG Wave which have been out since 1981, The Waldorf Microwave has been out since 1990, most people probs used those EMU Orbit things which were stuffed full of these kind of samples..I think Dave Clarke's Red 2 is some where on them too

  • @vinyljunkie07 Thanks, yeah Dave Clarke really hammered these sounds!

  • to my favorites, keep it up;)

  • very nice!

  • excellent as usual, i want a blofeld ! ahahah

  • man you are crazy! u gotta release something now! lol

  • crazy

  • the blofeld seems like a techno machine, i love its slick sound, kinda like an updated dx :)

  • Man..thats the shit! My favorite to date.

Which preset are you working with?

  • @robvbeats Cheers, no preset INT sound

  • @vinyljunkie07 don´t you want to show us how you´ve done that kind of stabsounds. my stabs always sound more like pads =(
