  • The ignorant and uninformed shouldn't go around fault finding. Bet they didn't inform the tunnel authorities. Stopping in the tunnel like that was stupid and dangerous.

  • I you think this is bad then come and see the infrastucture in Dublin Ireland then you'll know . Just remember Malaysia infrastucture is way ahead of some western countries. Hey be proud of what we have and looking down on it. I'm a Malaysian and although I've been living in Ireland for the past 12 years but I'm proud Malaysian.

  • hahhaaa...the idea is to get the support from the people who dunno shit..about tunneling and some side effect of this type of structure....well it seems to work....they manage to get the support from those who is with the low IQ....anyway...i don want to risk my life standing in that tunnel...

  • These politicians were actually from DAP looking for the sensational issue. They do not know what are they looking for, acting like specialist engineer, looking for crack but do not know what the crack actually meant. Never mind just give them chance.

  • holy shit!

  • STUPID TUNNEL!!!

  • ni org x da keja nak cri slah krajaan la ni...

  • It's easier said than done.

I would prefer understand it instead of just simply fire my gun. Critise on something so-called silly is easy because you just don't understand it.

  • The tunnel have already been tested and it works fine, how do i know ? well i live there so know what happens ( my house was flooded twice but since the tunnel finished my house was safe from flood ) although it doesn't prevent flood from some part of KL.

  • For Engineer:"This Tunnel May Passed Ultimate Limit State, But Service Limit State??...Don't Think So...

  • oii.. its alreaddy tested ma.. u guys.. dont noe ..??

  • the first time I went in there....I just can't wait to get out...I missed the sun while I'm in there. (it's true) I was like...when will this end? when will this end??

  • Many comments have been made about the Smart Tunnel. But the fact remains that until today it has never been tested and proven that it can actually alleviate flood situation in KL by channeling away flood waters during heavy downpour.May be the rakyat have been misled again.Dear Minister, clarify please.

  • I don't think he goes on youtube... much if at all. How bout you make a public statement instead, I'm sure he's bound to hear you then.

  • i'm not an engineer, but i know the tunnel is still open while KL having flood. That means this tunnel is nothing special and dont have to claim that is tunnel is the first smart tunnel in the world, becoz it is just a normal tunnel.

  • its deferent from the rest becoz it has flood control and a double layer road..meaning 1st n 2nd layer is for traffic if the flood is coming it change into the flood control

  • Then why is it still not functioning while KL having flood. I believe the original blueprint will be a very good one, but after all corruption happened during the construction, it became to be 'just a tunnel'.

  • its a smart tunnel alright still it doest cover ll kl area..

  • its a smart tunnel alright still it doest cover ll kl area..

  • Don't just criticize without knowing or even trying to understand engineering aspects! The SMART tunnel its not a normal road tunnel alone (like those you are listing for comparison,a certain level of leakage and cracking is permissible! There is no expansion joints in the 3.4KM road tunnel decks!!cracks will appear due to shrinkage and its nature of concrete!as long as it within the allowed tolerance.Commenting is easy but building is tough!

  • Oh shutup SMARTProud. Profiting is easy but owning up to it is tough too.

  • Disaster waiting to happen la. Dont use the tunnel. Your life is not worth rm 2 value.

  • waiting the disaster coming, then all nothing....

  • I remember the first time i took the tunnel from Sg Besi and exit to Jln Tun Razak, guess how long it took me, 74 minutes! I remember a client telling me he was in a taxi and insisted that the driver used the tunnel and the driver recited verses of the Koran all the way until they were out of the tunnel. Please la, fix the damned leaks and make the tunnel more pleasing to a motorists' eye.

p/s SMARTProud, aren't you the same person who made a big fool out of yourself on Malaysia-Today?

  • this is a disaster waiting to happen......

  • my friend sent me video clip..i think is big problem...normallar...what we can hope goverment give you any thing better..just be silent ,,,.even you blame there also put the ear plug pretend nothing...Go chinese temple pay rm3.60 ask god better

  • What is not done properly, surely there will be comments. 1st in the world or not, it still have some problems. Further more it looks an unfinished tunnel from inside.

    - road flooring ??

    - the ceilling ??

if u compare the short tunnels to KLCC, now those are quite good. everything is done nicely from the inside n outside.

  • Comparing the KLCC tunnel to the SMART tunnel, that is like comparing oranges to apples..yes they are tunnels, but of a totally diff sort. For one, SIZE!No 2-soil conditions! No 3- ownership of land where the tunnel is being built into!!Agreed KLCC tunnel is finished very well. But as I said before,do your research and you would realise that SMART (triple deck) tunnel was built in very diff cond fm the KLCC tunnel!!

  • i agree with u bout the diff between both, but does tat mean those leaks means nothing? so some one come to me n say, there's problems with the tunnel, we will just tell them do their research and its the best work done?

  • SO what if its 3 deck,so what if Gus the world best tunnel builder is doing it,when it's finishing is not up to standard. If wanna do and be the first one in the world, please do it properly. SmartProud, you cant blame us much becoz we are the layman, we dont study engineering we are just the users. cant expect everyone to understand how to build it and juts say, ok its a hard work i should keep my mouth shut. User are the one who use it not the ppl building it.

  • Quoting you:"cant expect everyone to understand how to build it..".That is why I previously said that those who don't understand, shouldn't comment about how it was built and such!!And yes..It is hard work and yes, agreed that the leaks shd be fixed!!Wit dat,I've said my piece and will be silent from now!

  • wow

  • To everyone that has posted or wants to post comments regarding the SMART Tunnel or about anyone that has worked on it... think long and hard!! Not all comments were correct, esp about "the germans". Don't make comments for the sake of it!! Do your research, before you start slandering, especially when it concerns a specialist subject!! And oh yes... Job well done MMC-Gamuda!!

  • Little do any of you know of the risks and danger that some of these foreigners have put their lives at to make sure the job is done properly therefore making sure that the tunnel is safe (even in leaking!!) and avoided any major damage to the surrounding areas during construction??

  • Yes, there were foreign foremens/supervisors/bosses, but they are amongst the best in tunnel construction industry (in the world!!) and they know their stuff. They have passed on their expertise to the local contractors, who by the way probably now work on several of the biggest jobsites in other countries in the world!!

  • For those of you that want to critise about foreigners teaching the locals how to do the job... don't forget, Malaysia was once run by foreigners!!

I am proud of the SMART tunnel and even more proud that Malaysia has the first of its kind in the WORLD!!

  • Have any of you worked on the Kerinchi link tunnel?? I presume not.. Have any of you worked in any underground contruction project?? I presume not. If you did, you would understand the pressure and issues that goes along with this type of work! There are 3 things in life that we can be sure of.. Death, Taxes and cracks in concrete!

  • How "SMART Can WE BE??? Anyway??? We All Know lah...

  • kau lat....

  • yeah..malaysia boleh!!

VISIT MALAYSIA 2007..LEAKING EVERYWHERE IN EVERY BUILDING!...YEAHO!

  • sigh... cracks everywhere.... = ="

  • duh..this is my home country..sigh...
