@tomthefunky - I've googled but can't find it. It wasn't specified in the article as I recall, I would like to know myself. It was deffinately him seeing station man performed live that was his inspiration. I was so pleased to read that because Danny Kirwan mainly wrote this song and to think his guitar riffs influenced Pete Townshend is enough proof to me how good Danny really was.
@Justa1SBG: Wow, I see what you mean. I can definetly hear the similarities. I play both songs on guitar and there are things Pete does exactly like Danny. However, I never would have spotted the influence if you didn't point it out.
