If you can play and sing individually, it's just a matter of practice to get it down -- I used the tab book by Andy Aledort and I can play and sing what's there fine. The timing (especially for the last verse) just takes knowledge of the song and practice.

I am glad you had the guts to cover (good cover btw) this song because on every Hendrix cover I've seen some very harsh critics, I don't know why, people feel like it's a betrayal, like you can't touch the original, but on the contrary If I have something to say: don't be so harsh because Hendrix is a symbol for all of us guitarists and musicians and that because he inspires us! So as long as there will be covers, his sound will keep on living and personally that's all I ask for .

No disrespect intended and thumbs up, but I have to agree with what was just written below. You have a nice Hendrix attack/approach/percussivness. You just used it on the wrong tune. The delicacy and touch are what made that song. But that delicacy is tough to capture and fill-out, with one guitar, due to the backwards overdubs so well done nonetheless.

The guitar playing in this vid really does it justice. This pedal does a great job for getting those old time Hendrix tones for those Hendrix cats out there. I pair mine with a good octavia octave up pedal. Tried the Roger Mayer octavia but was disappointed. The 'Fillmore Thunder' by Elite Tone is awesome the octave notes ring out clear undistorted. It rocks a groovy BC108 Fuzz in the same box. Mine was $177 I think. Well worth it!
