Why is it when couples are together, it is both their responsibility but when they split up, all the sudden the financial burden falls to the woman & men just "help" with child support? I also do not understand why c.s. is based on the earnings of the dad instead of the NEEDS of the child. My child was diagnosed with autism at age 4. She is 18 now. Her father has paid a total of $800 in all those years. He hasn't visited since she was 5. There MUST be a term lower than D.B.D. for him.

Why does everyone who talks about DEADBEAT DADS, CHILD SUPPORT, SINGLE PARENTS...always seem to not talk about the real issue. If you see this on the news, or read it in the newspaper or TIME, NEWSWEEK...they never talk about the real issue. The real issue is this -WHY ARE WOMEN LETTING SORRY ASS MEN HAVE BABIES WITH THEM? WHY CAN'T WOMEN CHOOSE BETTER MEN TO HAVE SEX WITH? WHY ARE WOMEN CHOOSING SUCH BAD MEN TO BE FATHERS? You stop that and guess what the problem gets very small!
If woman refused to get together with losers, deadbeats etc, we wouldn't have a problem with "deadbeat dads." That 20% is for the time not spent with the kids outside the every 1st 3rd n 5th weekend and 30 days out the summer. NO!!! you and entire indifferent members of society should pay !!! child support, alimony and legal fees WE pay are just "estabilisment support".
SOME lawyers and judges (a.k.a.proffitering crooks) are seeing in familiy troubles justs above average income opportunities and job security.
"dead beat" is the last resort weapon we have to fight against madness (it burns society pocket) and it fits "LAW's" plan too, as they need reason to exist, if they don't have it they will create it!
