  • did it done yet dude? :S

  • @np96vh I can't spare my time for this project these days. I've been making 2d game for iphone and android. In a few months the game will be completed. Then I will upload the game play video. Please download the game then ^^. It will be for free ;-)

  • @bulgasal cool keep going :D wait to see you become famous :D

  • @np96vh I hope so ^^

  • @bulgasal cool, Keep going :D Good job :D

  • @np96vh Thanks ^^

  • if you done all this by yourself i respect you!

    c++ its not a toy :)

  • @ryonagana Thank you ;-)

  • How long have you been programming?

  • @MrPitbull917 Programming...? Uhm... about 14 years..?

  • How much time did you spend on this game?

  • @nod103 It's hard to answer. Cause it was not my main job. difficult to measure the time.

  • Are you used any physics engine?

  • @particlegod No. No physics engine for this game. ;-)

  • dude ur a genious! im learning c++ and id like to learn how to make 3d games using c++ can u tell me how to do it? why ur using directx and at the same time 3d max? 3dmax is for designing the persons and directx for designing the rest? sorry im lost in this theme

  • @ramonet27101993 Well... 3ds max is for designing and directx is for programming. Their roles are not the same.

  • @bulgasal can u advice me where to download directx and some good tutorial to learn directx with visual c++?

  • @ramonet27101993 I downloaded and studied sample codes from microsoft homepage. ^^ But it was a long time ago. These days I'm working on iphone and android smart phone games.. I'm a little bit behind the current directx circumstances.. sorry ^^.

  • I like the solidness of the character when it snaps to the shooting state. He's very consistent, and the viewpoint is locked really well.

I also like the idea that you can shoot down that UFO. Makes for an interesting boss concept. Bravo.

  • @BenjaPenGuin ^^ Thank you so much. I'm so pleased.

  • visual c++?

  • @tirsod2000 Yup!

  • @bulgasal Awesome :D

  • @tirsod2000 Thank you so much ^^

  • nice ;) what do you think about rpg programming???

  • @Videohochlader10 I like it. ^^

  • Like GTA

  • @Pivotkillerwhatever You're right. I took lots of ideas from gta4

  • well i think you did a good project-well done!

  • @mmihain Thank you ^^

  • Is c++ your preferred gaming code or do you like java or python

  • @xForceDee Simply speaking, c++. And these days, i'm working on cocos2d-x, which is written in c++.

  • @bulgasal looks a lot like cs but in 3d person

    (Put up download link)

  • @MAJORMODZoCOM Sorry. there's no link currently.

  • @bulgasal u gotta make one soon

  • wich engine u used?

  • @EctoplasmaTV Well, the purpose of this project was to make my own 3d engine.. I mean I didn't use any common engine.

  • @bulgasal i see

  • @ScienceArtSkate Currently no link, sorry.

  • @bulgasal Any Demo? :)

  • @GaboMore1 Sorry. I don't know what you mean.

  • @bulgasal a demonstration of the game? :|

  • @bulgasal a demonstration of the game? :|

  • @GaboMore1 The video you see is a demonstration of the game...

    Am i misunderstood somewhere?????

  • good sound effects for the human gun and the alien guns wish i was this good at these things dude great job and great videos :D subbed

  • @bluenuns808 Thanks ^^

  • Wow sick shit! I'm almost done learning C++ but I think it's gonna take a while until I'm at this level. Also teaching myself.

  • @Sintaxx2 Everyone has been in the same position. You can acheive your goal. Only time matters.

  • @bulgasal Ye, I know. That's why I started allready xD btw it looks like you need some epic drawing skills. Is that true?

  • @Sintaxx2 As a developer? No, drawing skiils are not necessary.

  • @bulgasal wow, that was fast! so, you usually work in a team: you write the code and someone else does the designing and modelling?

  • @Sintaxx2 That's the case for almost every developer.

  • @bulgasal Ok, thank you :)

  • In the future it would be pretty cool to have a money system so you could buy new guns and attatchments and maybe some new maps and I would BUY this game!

  • @Brady736 Thank you so much ^^

  • @bulgasal i am new to C++, how can you add graphix to c++ and how long have you beenn programming

  • @bruceleeking1 Uhm.... If you have knowledge of c++, You can go to next step.. like visual c++, directx, or opengl... But going straight from c++ to 3d game graphics......is almost impossible.

  • can u provide any help in creating game like this....? or any source code??

  • @waqasali167 Source coude... You can get them in many ways from internet or game developement books.. or D3D sample sources..

  • Good job! Did you take any graphics programming classes?

  • @dying2l No, I studied by myself.

  • How long did it take to build this game?

  • @superstrongholdkapo Hard to measure. I made it as a sub work.

  • looks good I'm downloading the DirectX SDK to play around with :)

did you make the models and textures?

and how many frames does this get?

  • @st0ckys Yes I made models and textures. How many frames..? About 30 per sec.

  • @Crypto293 Thank you for your comment. Currently I don't have a plan about game downloading. But sometime in the future, it could be possible.

  • Congrats on your project!

  • @TheStinger951 Thank you ^^

  • @TheStinger951 Thanks ^&^

  • @georgiosdroubalis How to learn? Uhm... I've just studied books and D3D sample programs. Sorry I don't have special way to learn.

  • Nice game in which game engine u created this game please tell me!!

  • @yamin397 I didn't use any game engine for this.

  • @bulgasal Then how u created this game?

  • @yamin397 I just tried to make an engine myself, however poor it is.

  • @bulgasal however poor it is, This is one of the best DirectX engines made by a user and not a giant company. I bet you could sell it even, lol.

  • @Digby0907 Wow, I'm so glad to hear that.

  • Very nice. You created the 3D models and 2D art all by yourself?

  • @tontsa911 Yes, that's right.

  • When he walks I hears horse foot steps web he runs nothing at all. What is this SPARTA??

  • @varunmoney Foot sounds differ according to the distance from camera.

  • Omg it's really good!

  • @GoSTy91 Thanks~~~~~

  • Hey man. I really like your work and would like to propose an offer. I am incharge of a gaming team of 25 members and am looking for more coders/programmers. We would be really grateful if you could come and help us out with our game project which is worked on in some of our team members free time. We are using the CryENGINE SDK and you would be welcome to the team!

  • @VisionXtream Thank you so much for you offer. But I got a job of android and iphone game programming. Sorry. I hope someday in the future I could have opportunity to work with your team. Thank you again ^^.

  • Hey man. This work is unbelievable. I am the leader of a game development of 25 staff who work for free in our free time. We would love if you could join us and help us build one of the best fantasy MMO's of all time... We are currently developing a game engine made specifically for the game so if you would like to help get back to me when you can! We are using openGL(C++)...

    Kind Regards,

    Mendi Meyer

  • @VisionXtream I visited your homepage. It was wonderful. Anyway, I'm sorry I think I can't join your team...

  • how much time did you spend to make it???

  • @TheTripleTip It took very long. A couple of years while studying 3d game developement out of nothing. I couldn't concentrate wholely on this work, cause I got a main job.

  • @bulgasal wow probably great motivation. how can i become as good like you. where do i start?

with programs i need. what to learn.....EVERYTHING!!!

  • @TheTripleTip -- um... I'm not as good as you think. Anyway, I've studied DirectX3d. But i recommend OpenGL these days.

  • @bulgasal alright tnx bro :D

  • Looks pretty sweet actually

  • you have done all the stuff?

  • @berkut2006 Yes I have.

  • @bulgasal

    just awsome!

  • @berkut2006 Wow. Thank you.

  • it looks very interesting for me....just add more details when walking ^_^ good game!

  • @XxTreceZxX Thank you for advice. ^^

  • @bulgasal will u release a download link after you've finish it?? or is it canceled??....

  • @XxTreceZxX Uhm.... I got the plan. but I'm not sure when that could be.

  • @bulgasal waiting for a response when you're going to upload it! :)

  • @XxTreceZxX Thank you ;-)

  • That looks like a very good game ;)

  • @Programmur Thank you ^^

  • wow bulgasal, you did a great job. I would *love* to be able to make a game like this someday. I'm very experienced with C++, but have yet to work with any game development libraries... Can you suggest a place for me to start? I've heard Allegro is a wonderful start... but I'd really like to hop right into 3D games if at all possible.. any tips?

  • @WikiPeoples I'm sorry. I don't know much about Allegro. If you have much experience with C++, studying D3D samples would be a good start, even though it is not very efficient. You can get lots of knowledge about 3d game programming from it. Hopping right into 3D games..? Uhm... How about learning Unity 3d engine?

  • @PyroTec21 Thank you for your interest ^^

  • Great game.

How long did you programm at this.

And when you started with programming and how old are you now?

  • @cybogg13 I worked on it only in my spare moments. So it's hard to measure how long it took. My age.. I'm a little bit old for a game programmer. ^^ 1970 is the year I was born.

  • Wow. This looks great.

  • @valchuaquico Thank you ^^;;

  • you might not think the game is interesting, but it looks like you've used some slick coding there dude

  • @stefozzie But I admit there's much to do for this game to make it more interesting. Thank you anyway ^^

  • post a link to download? very nice game.

  • @ViProFL -- I'm planning to make a link. But not now, sorry.

  • this vid need more views and likes! awesome, i cant belive u made it by your self!

  • @UntouchableX7 Wow. I'm glad to hear that. Thank you so much ^^

  • nice work dude. this is great

  • @EoN604 Thanks ^^

  • this is awesome !!!! \m/

    is verry cool man!!!

    great job!!!

and teach me to make game with C++ sometime :)

  • @np96vh Thank you ;-)

  • Im kinda new to programming

Im learning visual basic in school and i can only make very BASIC programs with it

Im sarting to learn how to program with C++, I got the O'rielly book and the Dumbies book

My question is how to program with Direct X please explain!

    Thank You

  • @bluetekki There are lots of DirectX sample sources included in D3DX SDK and books. Uhm... Reading and writing sources are the best way to learn. (Sorry for my poor answer. )

  • LOL, people recommending a game engine while the purpose of the video is to make/test a personal game engine...

  • @ayinozendy ^^;;

  • @blackwahagn Sorry. The purpose of my project was to make my own 3d engine. So there was no reason to use well known engine such as irrlicht or Ogre.

  • This looks great, Hope people understand what an effort this must have been for bulgasal..

    This looks really smooth too!

    I am really impressed!

  • @gaikokujinNor Thank you.

  • @REYOKINE I don't know much about Nvidia physic. But, thank you anyway.

  • Amazing!!! this is great and the AI is pretty good too!!

  • @JoathusWow Thank you. Please wait for my next works. Android and Iphone games will be uploaded sometime in the near future.

  • This.. is.. amazing.

  • @Reload25 Thank you.

  • Very nice! :-D Im working on a 2d engine my self I was hoping to put in 3d for cutt sences and stuff. I was wondering how diffrent 3d was from 2d programming?

  • @GCGGAMES Well, It's hard to answer. Some developers may think the difference is not much. But to me, they seemed to be practically in two different worlds, literally in two different dimensions.

  • @bulgasal

I'm doing my frist year Digital Arts & Entertainment in college.. And I need to say.. Programming 3D is maybe not really that hard. but is takes a long long time to program it.

    I'm working on a Dragonball Z game in 2D :) I didn't see 3D yet. But i can't wait to learn all of it ^^

  • @turbellob Well. Maybe your expression is correct. It takes a long long time.

  • @bulgasal My first year is almost done. I must say, it was harder then expected.

We learned much math and physics. We even used a basic physics engine.

It's hard to program al that physics.. Gravity, air, ground, objects(trees, rocks), camera, ... .

In this vacantion I'm starting to make my own engine. A Game Engine that I will write in WIN32.

  • @turbellob Wow. I hope you make it!!!! please let me see your works sometime!

  • @bulgasal Thank you :-)

  • I like it, very nice, maybe you could show us a tutorial on how you put everything together, im not saying show us how to code or show us your code, just show us how you made it and put it all together. But other then that, great job, I have really wanted to learn c++ to make a gun game for a long time now, I think I just might!

  • @towatchutube123 To be honest... I opened a blog to show how I made this game just like you said. But... Uhm.... It was much much difficult to continue to write blogs... And I got a new job making android games.. so currently the blog is almost closed.

  • @bulgasal Is the blog still up, I know you said you dont do it anymore, but is it still up, so that maybe I can see the old information you posted?

  • @towatchutube123 It's still up. But I don't recommend you to go there. There's almost nothing to see there.

  • could easily turn this into a game to time you and see how long you can survive.

  • @GhostXoP I hope so and I'm planning to do that sometime in the near future.

  • You inspire me. I really really really love programming, thats all i do. I'm expanding my knowledge but i still have a lot to learn, just started object oriented programmng. What advice would you give me?

  • @Incogneto100 Uhm... I'm not that good programmer to give people advices. But... If you have a job as a programmer, time will solve all of your problems.

  • have you been using any help libs or just dx9 and windows.h?

  • @Neomex000 I didn't use any other well known game engine. Like ogre or something. I just gathered program sources from DX9 sample codes and books.

  • Makes me remember Postal 2 :) ...

  • wow very very cool

if you use better sound and introduce a multiplayer mode and a little better graphics and some good maps you can actually sell this thing xD

    well good luck ^^

  • @FantasyX3I

Thank you for your advice ^^.

  • can you upload plz :)

i wanna play it and i will not steal it

  • @np96vh

Like I mentioned before, the game itself is not interesting. If you start playing this, you'd get bored within 5 minutes. ^^

  • @bulgasal

Yo dude plz just make some enemy to kill with ragdoll physics and then -> Problem Solved

  • @np96vh ^^ Thank you.

  • dude this si awesome!!!! You have experience with DX9 when you make this game>|?

How log did it take to learn DX9?

  • @MrSaggat

It took me quite a long time to learn DX9. a couple of years.

  • wow this is pretty good how long did it take you

  • wow this is pretty good how long did it take you

  • @nate62912 Well.... it's hard to answer. Cause I worked on it only in my spare moments.

  • @nate62912 It took long anyway.
