i remember reading in a car craft mag from the early 1970's they had a real 1967 427 ford gt-40 mark IV with the hilborn intake at the bonneville salt flats , the only thing they changed was the tires, they used salt flats blue streaks and had billeted wheel covers, they made 6 runs over a 4 mile distance and were turning in speeds over 248mph, with one run hitting 273mph the car was a special build for carrol shelby and there is not another one like it in the world .
