The idea of god is one that is completely irrational. However, I can concede that there are good reasons in adopting a set of spiritual beliefs. Research shows that people that do live longer. However, while I do respect Al Lindner for his contributions to fishing etc what I have contempt for is hypocrisy. These christian/republican business men epitomize it fully. I mean doesn't the bible say something about greed? I am sure we won't here about that on true stories.

I always respected these guys as expert fishermen, but it wasn't until I watched Al discuss the Lord in a brief segment on his TV show that I really began to appreciate them. These are very thoughtful, competent men; it's nice to have credible people stressing the positive aspects of faith without being pushy or condescending. Not sure how anyone could not admire these folks.
i've been watching in-f since i was 4 "1984" i believe i can safely say that this guy is most likely the reason that i am the "fish-guy" i am today. G bless ya Al. I'll bet you'll see your brother Ron again.
Al is one of the most decent gentlemen I have ever come to know. I consider him a personal friend of mine and know him well. He runs his life the same in an office, in front of a camera, in a fishing boat, at church.....

so glad I taped a tin of in-fisherman when I was young, that old bunch back then where the real deal, and made me the fisherman I am today :-)

Only thing that disappoints me is that he didn't mention specifically that Christ died for sinners and we all qualify.

My father introduced me to fishing. Al Lindner has and is still continuing to expand my fishing knowledge.
I was fortunate enough to see the man in person.
