This took me babk to my childhood in the same streets. originally in the Dingle (Ringo) then lived in the Woolton/Speke districts at the same time as John, Paul and George. George was the nearest just a few hundred yards from my house. Little did we know then just how big they would become
@jpaulmccartneyluver I'd seen them around but never actually spoke to them but my sister knew them. One of her best friends was Pauline Sutcliffe, sister of Johns best friend Stu. Gerry Marsden (of Gerry and the Pacemakers) married the sister of one of my classmates. Like I said, kinda took for granted our local groups - then "Love Me Do" hit the charts and Liverpool hit the world music map!!! Worra wonderful time to have a Liverpool accent - we all became popular!!!!!
Booked the National Trust tour of John and Paul's homes before leaving Australia. At Forthlin Road a bloke in our tour group played Maccas songs on the piano in Paul's front room. Then got a Fabcab tour of Liverpool for 3 hours.Went inside Ringo's home, visited outside George's home, Penny Lane, Strawberry Field, Elanenor Rigby's grave, School, Church Fete site, etc.
Cavern Club Beatles music all day, attended Beatles Concert at Echo Stadium.
wow! after so many years two beatles fans got to walk the same path as the beatles!!! :) good for you! at least you got to see where they grew up and where they went to school! and that's so awesome! you went to the actual hospital where John Lennon was born!!! =D
This video is amazing! I love the pictures and love Liverpool!
That city is just magical. I was there last summer and I got the conclussion that if in this life I wasn't born there, I was in my past!! Not only for the Beatles (but of course, they were the main reason for my visit) but also the city itself if enchanting!
You have done a wonderful thing in traveling and photographing all these historice Beatles locations. I am looking at all your amazing videos and want to thank you for taking the time to make and share them. This is terrific!!
