A Decent song, but if you want a more heart felt and serious sequel in honor of a certian big bad man, check out "My Big John" by Dottie West. It's a true ending for story of Big John.

I like all kinds of music, from Fergie to Jimmy Dean and beyond. Jimmy Dean was the proof a ''good ol' country boy'' could be a genius in marketing in many areas. At least he did not write to the populace book-after-book-after-book about Religion...the nature of man never changes, but FWIW, I like the idea of Big Bad John surviving.

i daresay i'll be a minority of one by saying this, but this record should have never been released. the song 'big john'. was totally convincing in it's telling, like a well written story put to song, but this follow up about john being saved by his cajun lover is unbelievable and not credible in the least. john should have been allowed to rest in peace!
