I live in California (where it doesn't get cold, at least where I live), so would it be less bad if I fed the ducks that live by my house? I don't feed them though, I'm just wondering:D
back then in vancouver, ducks stay there all year long, and in the winter vancouver is mostly 0C but sometimes can get to -10C to -15C, and these ducks will do just fine
Ive hunted mallards in -3 degree weather trust me they aint cold er hungry.

Even the winter scenes had open water... Open water = a duck that is warmer than 32 degrees.

...some ducks dont fly south. and they will be fine. ducks store fat kinda and use it for the winter in a way....
