Haha, i love magnifier! i use it all of the time when i want to point something out to my parents when they are far away from the monitor.

What they REALLY should have done is bind the zoom to win-scroll. I wrote an AutoHotKey script to do it:
$#WheelUp::send #{NumpadAdd}
$#WheelDown::send #{NumpadSub}

I'm glad it's included in Windows 7. I often use this when I want to take a quick picture / video with my phone for a friend.

I left you a couple video responses per how I've used WIndows 7 magnifier for multi-monitor gaming and with InputDirector, which you'll find very useful in your situation.

That features is honestly one that I use everyday on my iMac. I would have loved to use this on my old PC.
