@olaf2046 Yes, it is an actual place! :) Vancouver, Washington, USA -- just across the river (and a world apart) from Portland, Oregon. Although this Vancouver was the original Vancouver (where the first fort in the Northwest Territories was built), most people only know about Vancouver, British Columbia, which was established later.

I think it's hilarious that you clearly don't even know what areas of Vancouver you're talking about. Sure, this stereotype exists, but try Woodland, WA or maybe (and I stress MAYBE) the east side. I've lived in The Heights for over 11 years and I don't have any neighbors like those guys - and I'm an out, liberal homo. Way to do your homework. At least Carrie And Fred know their stuff.

Do you mean to tell me that when you watch Portlandia you think that show actually represents everyone in portland oregon?
