i think part of this is due to people trying to get 1000 horsepower out of street cars.most are carrying a 4.6 or at best a 5.4 or 5.7. you can only bore those things out so much.once the walls of the block are thin enough that bitch is gonna pop. i had a 460 in my truck bored over .90 and i could push the redline all day cause the cylinder walls were thick enough to handle the heat and pressure.you cant do that shit to a small block.this is what happens.

Its so it doesnt spin the tires on the Dyno...no you wont have a buddy in the trunk, but if your going to pay for a dyno might as well make sure you get a good reading. I had to sit in the trunk of an 01 Trans Am that was pushing over 800 RWHP because he would be in 4th at 2K RPM's strapped good, and when he gunned it he would literally SMOKE his tires. We had 3 people in the trunk to give him enough traction to get a good read.

IF you have the car strapped down correctly there really is no reason to have someone sit back there, especially if its only pushin 600-650rwhp. So when youre driving around town, are you gonna have your buddy in the trunk so you dont spin your tires?lol
