  • Dr. Block is as creepy sounding as Boris Karloff

  • Ever since I saw this I've been afraid to vacuum. Nobody visits me anymore

  • This is the (one) episode from the original Outer Limits that captivated me for years. I was six years old then. It truly terrified me. I'm quite thankful to MGMDigitalMedia for having posted it!

  • Barbara Luna-wow!

  • When I saw this episode as a kid it scared the crap outta me. And it still gives me the creeps today. This show had the coolest and creepiest sound effects ever!

  • It crawled out of the woodwork? So apparently did my ex-girlfriend, that wallet-sucking waste of DNA. Fortunately for me they'll never find the body. Hahahahahahahahahahaha...!

  • 10-04-2011 ;MGM has configured one of the potentially scariest episodes I can recall viewing it circa 1965-6 .And as one of their first .As I sit downloading its' kernel , I remember Zanti Misfits which was a western-styled thriller featuring prisoners via an alien world-scenario .Problematic is that although worthwhile, when will some of these episodes become thoughtlessly "colorized"? Bravo ,on such a fine science-fiction initiative .Sorry about this lengthy blog .-Seclusionos.

  • @eurscher1 No, I think you can safely say that these original Outer Limits TV episodes will never be attacked by the Colorization monster. ;)

  • All the power is turned off, but the automatic door still works.

  • Also, Stewart played in a Twilight Zone episode called Leather Jackets; which had a very interesting theme that can be put into place today.

  • @MzSunnyJeep Yep! I remember that now! I knew he looked familiar! hehe

  • The Outer Limits and Twilight Zone "originals" are better tv watching than anything out there today. These shows really captured your attention witout all the green room, computer generated special effects. Bravo!

  • wow..check out that 63 mercury

  • Great atmosphere and direction, although some of the pacing is weird. I like the upward camera angles.

  • Watched part of this on TV at work the other night. After about ten minutes recognized it as The Outer Limits. Came home and watched the end of it. THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS.. Loved it....

  • thats why I don't like to vacume

  • I've seen this episode dozens of times, I'm sure, but it wasn't until I watched it here that I finally understood what Dr. Linden says about Bloch's mental state:

    Sgt Siroleo: Is he...insane?

Dr. Linden: "I wish he were... the insane are forgiveable."

Only Joseph Stefano would write that! Great stuff!

  • The Outer Limits original episodes are the closes thing to a time machine I can think of. Watching this episode I'm back in our living room when I was ten. I see my mother the way she looked back then. I'm sitting on the floor with my younger brother. That same feeling comes over me. I see everything so clearly! The latest Fantastic Four comic book is on the table.

  • @libraryquiet -Comment appreciated. One of my many favorites. We must be about the same age. The seens where the cleaning lady and the security gaurd get zapped, are so horrible but watchable. I just love The Outer Limits. It is a place forever in my childhood heart.

  • This was Steven King's favorite OL episode.

  • That end credits theme music creeps me out. I get goosebumps every time I hear it.

  • Both actors did Star Trek. The girl was "Marlena" in "Mirror, Miror" And the guy was "Apollo" In the other episode I forgot the name...

  • @tappan48 I think it was ; "Who mourns for Adonis?"

  • What made this episode really creepy for me as a kid was my Grandmother who emigrated from Europe worked as a cleaning person at a laboratory. It was a shame they had to make wholesale changes at OL after the first season. Keeping the same crew with a little bigger budget might have brought some truly epic Episodes.

  • That is an ingenious special effect, especially for the '60's. I thought it was so cool when I saw this as a kid.

  • The episode would have been better if Sgt. Siroleo had a zany sidekick played by Ted Knight.

  • @toddclapp LOL!-A coincidence is that Ted Knight did play A role in an episode of this series-can't think of which one though.

  • Wow! That was very, very good! It might've been the best Outer Limits episode I've ever seen. Nicely written, beautifully acted... no real major characters or minor ones, just complex characters interacting -- even the guards. It misdirected me at least three times. I didn't really know what to expect. Man, that was excellent!

  • @racookster

I agree. It's absolutely in my personal top 3 favorite episodes. There's something about the atmosphere and pace of this one that's so unique and captivating. A masterpiece, right up there with the very best TV ever accomplished.

  • That is one heck of a dust bunny, or the smoke monster from LOST.

  • this is my favorite episode in the history of the outer limits.

  • @gtyme125

This is my favorite episode, too. Scared the heck out of me when I was a kid.
