We can put the Reps back in charge when the Dems get to powerfull. This won't help root out the FED but if McCain is Prez when peak oil crashes the economy we are in alot of trouble. when i say the price of gas has remained consistent, i literally mean it has not gone up in price. of course all currencies are subject to inflation so the price will never remain consistent in terms of fiat, regardless of the particular currency you are referring to.

The price of oil is 100% more than a year ago. Not much else is 100% more. If your theory was correct everything would cost 100% more. Oil supply is not meeting demand. as a proponent of capitalism, i agree and am absolutely thrilled that "capitalism as we know it is dying." what we have is not even the least bit resemblant of a capitalist economy. capitalist economies do not exist in the 21st century. oil is NOT going up in price. the price of oil has remained remarkebly consistent in price. given its relative scarcity, it is almost a little unusual how consistent the price of oil has been.
