The disappointing thing about the Chevrolet volt is that while it runs on gasoline, it can only move you forward for 300 miles. Built with an 8 gallon gas tank, 300 miles only equates to 37.5 mpg. The Volt runs on electricity alone using a gasoline generator. You would think that running a generator to propel a vehicle would achieve better mpg. The weird thing about that is that a hybrid vehicle gets better mpg while running on gasoline and electric together.

I was disapointed how he appeared to dodge the question regarding how much of their production fleet 10yrs from now will be electric or otherwise alternative renewable fuels.
